The hotel is located in a business complex. For a simple and quick stay this is not a problem. But I find it unbelievable to find nowdays a hotel room which such dirty carpet. It was also not cleaned very well. Never go back there.
I travel a lot and have stayed at few iBis hotels in the past and experience was always okay. However, the ibis spanga is a must avoid hotel. It all started with pathetic experience at the check-in. It took more than an hour to explain that I have already paid for the booking and only part of the payment is due. Me and my wife reached hotel at around 8:30 in the evening or so and expected a quick check-in which wasn't the case. We were not handed over the keys for almost an hour. To make it worse, they didn't acknowledge the the Silver card status and refused to offer Wifi details and neither did they offer welcome drink. Tragedy doesn't end here, they don't have a restaurant so at 10 in the night, we had to go out and search for a place to eat. Room was tidy, but building seems like old. Radiators were not working and I couldn't imaging how to get past sub 2 degree Celsius temperature without heat. Everything about the hotel was bad and would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
No IBIS or Accor DNA anywhere to see. Obscurely equipped and not very clean rooms. Rooms were obviously not renovated in years, if ever with very heavily used old furniture. I've been asked to pay for wifi, even though it should be free.
This was a lovely hotel and one of the cheapest options in Stockholm. The receptionist was fantastic , making us feel very welcome. There is a bus and then a train into the city, approx 30 minutes. Very safe area to leave your vehicle I would recommend this hotel to anyone
Really friendly and helpful staff. The location is a bit far from the city- you have to take a local train and then a bus. Buses are according to schedule, but not at weekends. The nearest shop - three bus stops from the hotel. But if you have a car, then it`s ok. Breakfast is sufficient- cereals, youghurt, cheese, ham, eggs, some sausages and beans, vegetables, cookies. Tea is free any time. Hotel does laundry - quickly and cheap. The room and bathroom are not very clean. The curtains are really dusty and there were lots of dirty spots on the carpet. The first room we got had a leaking toilet, the second had a leaking shower, but it was mended next day. The biggest advantage was the price.
Ideal if you have a car coming in from the E18 and E4 and want to be out of town. About 2km from nearest station on fast line into Stockholm. Some decor and carpets could do with overhaul. No road signs to locate hotel.
Receptionist had to be pressed to check with Accorr system that I had prepaid in full. This was the second such initial by staff at this hotel - see my review of earlier stay (20/05/14 to 21/05/14). Hotel itself was typical Ibis, - basic, but did everything OK.
The hotel is situated on an industrial estate which is somewhat off putting initially though it turned out to be no problem. The first room we were given was right next to someone playing a playstation or similar with booming continuous music! I asked at reception if we could be moved - it was obvious the manager knew there was a problem as he didn't query my request! Luckily he found another room and that was fine - I don't know what we would have done if he hadn't as the noise was unbearable. One thing to be aware of is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We didn't eat in at all so cannot comment on that. The easiest way to get to the hotel is to take the tube to Hjulsta and it is then just a 15 minute walk to the hotel.
Its ok, but when I take my shower on the morrning, I have only Cold water.... And my Tv was really really BAD, a littel littel colour but not more, Terrible... The room and bed was ok and even the serivce. Breakfirst was ok.
First impressions were multi story car park, reception on second floor up two flights of fre escape stairs although there was also a lift. Reception bar and resteraunt were manned by the same person so check in took a while and it was not busy. Overall it was a cheap place to stay but would not stay there again.
This hotel is understaffed. No-one permenently on reception. Also asked to pay up front on my arrival at 23:15. I wanted to pay on exit and even offered my passport. The guy was very rude and said my UK passport was worth nothing!!! Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. However it has a bus stop so you can get to train station about 2k away quite easily so not as bad as it first appears. Overall a disorganised hotel and Accor should be doing better. Way below the normal level of customer service provided by Accor chain
