After we checked in, we asked for an extra towel and 2 glasses for drinking water. We were given a worn-out towel and 2 flimsy plastic glasses (the ones all Ibis hotels keep in the bathrooms ). We then had to go to the bar and show him that we wanted 2 proper glasses made of glass.
The shower cubicle in the bathroom was so TINY that it was very difficult to bathe. The parquet floor creaks when walking and the beams in the bathroom are loose.
We requested Ms Melanie, the Manager for 1 extra drink on the free drink coupon as there were 2 of us, but she refused, stating that it was "hotel policy ". 1 extra free drink would not have made a dent in Accor'spocket. It was very embarrassing for us to be refused, that too by a Manager. Is Accor so impoverished that it cannot afford an extra free drink to a Gold card member?
Considering the free drinks the staff consumes daily, I am surprised at the parsimony Accor extends to its members.
This behaviour on the part of a Manager is certainly not ACCEPTABLE.
At your same property in Marseilles we were treated so courteously by the staff and the Manager.
Also, we had a couple of Evan water bottles in our room, which were stolen by the housekeeping staff. We have stayed in several hotels, but this is the first time that we have experienced such a theft.
