Was given complimentary pool use, service was fantastic, breakfast was yummy and the room was clean and beds so comfy. I was travelling with an infant and was given help with my luggage and baby by the cleaner. Great value for money. Thank you so much for the lovely stay.
I booked the hotel without checking events that were happening at the stadium and the arena. Both venues has big crowds but, amazingly, I didn't even notice the noise! The rooms are a very good size and the cooling/heating system was a dream to use. The bar is also a pleasant place to grab a drink after a long day, with a good wine selection.
Friendly staff greeting. Clean average room at reasonable price.Good night's sleep. I had pre booked dinner but was still charged and told it would be refunded. It is annoying when you have prepaid for room, breakfast and dinner they still take your credit card, add extras and you have to fight to get your money back.
Able to check in online and advise of early arrival and room was ready and available. Excellent service at both check in and check out. Great location. We have stayed here on a number of occasions and have always received excellent service.
We stayed at the Ibis Hotel in Sydney Olympic Park because we were attending a concert at the Quedos Bank Arena. This was my first trip to the Olympic Park, and in a word, the parking was a nightmare. We drove around for 1 hour trying to find the hotel. After finding a 15 minute car space we walked 200 metres to the hotel. The hotel was in a good location adjacent to the stadium but directions on the hotel website told us nothing of directions or parking facilities. When we finally received directions from the hotel staff for directions to the hotel carpark, we were told it was full. We were told to proceed to the hotel carpark entry and there would be someone there to organise car parking for us. There was no one. More a case of good luck than good management that we found a spot to park our car. Overall a nice budget hotel but if you know where you are going, then that helps.
The room was small but very clean and comfortable. For a short stay it is great. We stayed 2 nights. It was very close to the venue we were attending. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downfall is that you have to pay for parking and wifi.
We stayed here on saturday night for the Sydney Show. It was s perfect spot, so close as the Show entry is half s block away. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Check in and out was quick and easy and the valet parking was excellent. The rooms are a little small but hey we went to the show and came back to the motel to sleep!!
Walked in with my daughter and backpacks - admittedly a bit bedraggled after travelling,, and a bit confused about whether we were in the Ibis or the Novotel - confusing signage?, and the doorman questioned us as to if we were looking for the Ibis budget -well dude looks can be deceiving!! Ha! we may not look a million dollars - just had a splurge for the night, very nice place - nothing bad to say apart from that bit of snobbery!
We stayed here for Bruce Springsteen concert. The hotel was ok and the staff were helpful but the room was tiny with mould on the shower grout .Wouldnt normally bother me as I've backpacked around the world but when you pay $519.00 for ONE NIGHT you would expect more. Obviously they are able to take advantage of the close proximity to the venue and charge like a wounded bull!!! Also our "queen" bed was two singles shoved together with the split still down the centre!!
Easy check in and great customer service. Good variety of buffet breakfast. Car park had large enough spaces to fit large cars. Room was very comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. Great location right across from ANZ Stadium.
First time I stayed here as I will be working quite a lot in Olympic Park. Location with lots of cafes/ restaurants around. Room was nice and was very good for the price. Staff was also really nice. Access via train was only around 150 m from the hotel.
This was our 4th yr staying at the ibis for the APIA Intl. Staff are wonderful, friendly & will go above & beyond if you request assistance, everyone was fantastic - special mention to Jamie at the bar.
overall was great ,staff were very helpful and really made my stay enjoyable always bubbly. cleaners could have done a better job in the shower on arrival. breakfast and meals were really good quality of food was definalty very good. we enjoyed the stay and would definatly stay again. Aircon wasnt wasnt working right but it was very hot so i guess they were trying to fix the problem.
It felt like a budget motel, things were old and breaking, stains on the carpet, cockroaches sat in hallway for days and also in the room, room stewards made the bed twice in the 6 nights we were there.
Amazing stay. So close to venue. Staff happy. Breakfast amazing. Ladies so happy to do anything for you. Was a busy night but nothing was too much trouble. Car parking a bit messy but overall a great stay
Our booking was cancelled because you took too long to check the credit card. You refused to reinstate it and told us to go back to Booking.com. They could not do it either so I had to re-book. YOU CHARGED ME TWICE FOR THE ROOM!!!!!!!. I rang and spoke to Teil who said he'd check and get back to me. He has not rung and my money has NOT been refunded. The room was second grade. There were two bits of bare wood holding up the shower rail. It looked like it was 40 years old and never been renovated. The fridge was old and hardly worked to keep things cool. I don't mind paying the money if I get what I paid for. The room was worth about $100. All night we could hear people going to the toilet and showering upstairs. There was a loud noise we couldn't work out - finally after a day we found out it was the clock radio buzzing. We kept rolling out of the bed because of the rounded edges. I will never stay at Ibis again.
Well this hotel and it's staff are a gem! Situated on Olympic Park it is a fantastic place to stay for concerts and events being held at the Park. I was staying in the IBIS which uses all the amenities of the Novotel. I tis cleverly designed so that IBIS customers use all the Novotel amenities but just go in a different lift to the rooms. My room was bright and had everything I needed and it was spotlessly clean. I think I am fussy but I could not find fault with this hotel. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Well done and thank you.
Great location. close to shop. great place to stay for events in Olympic park. great food. Good service. value for money. will stay in the future. recommended to stay in this hotel for any work in strathfield.
Great location if there is any thing on at the olympic park walking distance/ think it was pricey for what we got / staff were wonderful / server yourself breakfast was delicious / room needed cleaning better
I attended the EB Games Expo and stayed for 3 nights. I put my sign out for my room to be cleaned and bed made every morning. I asked for new sheets after my first night, as I noticed a stain. Not fresh but nonetheless. I wanted clean sheets and that was no trouble. I also asked for more shampoo etc but did not need everything replaced. Also asked for coffee and got one sachet. Really not a big deal ... but if I am staying 3 nights then the cleaners should know and put more tea bags, coffee etc out. A little extra that would make such a difference. Also I think cups were cleaned in the sink and not particularly well. Again not really a bother, but can made a big difference. The carpet could have been vacuumed a lot more... carpet felt hard on my bare feet. Luckily I bought my slippers with me. I really wish hotels in Australia would supply slippers. Practically everywhere else does. Makes such a nice little extra. It really does. .. again on both counts not the end of the world but would go so far in making it from a great to a fabulous stay. Buffet breakfast was quite good, good coffee and selection. Staff smiling and very helpful. Always a wonderful start to the day. Thank you. There was a big price difference from the Thursday night to the Saturday night... it really should be more reasonable for the weekend. You would get more people staying. One complaint: Saturday night (1230ish) drunk and very loud man banging on his? door and shouting. I give everyone a fair go so let it go for about 20 minutes, after that had had enough. When I rang up reception to let them know.... I felt like I had done something wrong. She was a bit rude. Asking "is he still going? Was it loud? Which room? Seriously, I am not going to open the door to ask the loud angry drunk if he was going to continue and which door he would like to bang on next. She told me the manager would be up to check. The drunk man stopped about 10 minutes after the call. She also never apologised, didn't even try. There was a family with young kids and babies who would have been up as well thanks to the drunk man. So I did everyone a favour. I like my sleep. Next time someone rings you in the middle of the night, first ask if they are okay and don't make it seem like it's their fault. Thank you. All in all, not getting extra coffee and not having slippers is not the end of the world but would go so far in taking it from a great to a fabulous stay. Best Regards, Rachelle
