The hotel was well situated as close to both Paris l'Est and Paris Nord railway station and this suited our purposes. There are a number of restaurants in the vicinity and these provided meals at very reasonable prices - another plus. The hotel itself provided a good breakfast and the room was of a decent size and clean. Having stayed in other Ibis Hotels, most recently the Hague City Centre, I identified three areas that could be improved - the provision of a security system that requires residents to use their key cards to access the lifts (and stairs), TV stations in languages other than French and more dried and fresh fruit with the breakfast. We did enjoy the warm croissants though!

The GOOD: You cannot beat the location, friendly staff, breakfast (basic but filling), and working AC. The BAD: The room furnishings are in need of repair/maintenance. Toilet paper holder in bathroom was broken, legs on table in room were bent, if you moved the table it would fall over. Very basic furnishings, was not a comfortable retreat. Overall Assessment: The hotel is a great place to head to at the end of a long day when all you want to do is fall in bed and sleep. Breakfast and never ending hot beverages will set you right before you head out for another day of sightseeing.

Have stayed at hotel a few times. Staff very friendly. Breakfast included. Tea coffee Juice available. To access the shower you have to step over the bath. The height of the bath could be a bit lower.

I did expect a little bit more with it being a Ibis Styles but it was very basic. One thing I noticed which people did not state in their reviews is the train noise. It is loud and if you are a light sleeper you will need ear plugs. The rooms were also very cold and took hours for them to warm up with their heating system. However, beds are very comfy and it is right next to a metro station and 12 min walk from the Eurostar.

The stay was just okay. I had high expectation from ibis - based on my previous experience of stay in 3 ibis hotels in 3 different cities in 3 different countries. Instead what I experienced is briefly as following. - Room was not spacious enough - Room had a look of old furnishing, found some small stains/defects what I never expected from an international brand like ibis - The bathroom was also just okay, the water pressure was low, took long to fill the bathtub, could not understand how to drain it, the water was continuously draining from the bathtub, from the locked basin waste hole - The soap tubes were very hard to press and also located unsuitably high, those were supposed to soft and gentle, fitted just above the basin top level and the bathtub top level - The most disappointing was the breakfast menu, very little choice of food and drinks, no fruit, only one type of salami, no spread, no egg, waiters at the breakfast area don't speak English too - The most efficient and courteous place was the reception, stuffs were very helpful and warm and most importantly they speak good English, we got an excellent service at very early morning @4AM to be served with some fresh hot croissants while we were leaving, thanks to that guy, can not recall his name though Overall, the experience was not quite unsatisfactory at the end than at the beginning.

It's not the best place of Ibis Styles. On my room wasn't a minibar and I couldn't use the telephone to make a call to charge on my country. The room is ok, but not more than this. The TV set stopped to work and they didn't have a technic to solve the trouble.

Stayed 2 nights in a standard room at the hotel. The hotel can easily be reached from the hotel from CDG Airport via Gare du Nord Station - just about 15 min walk. Also, it is located about a 5 minute walk from Gare de l'Est, and just next to the Chateau Landon metro station. Not very centrally located but quite well-connected I would say. Check-in was relatively smooth and I was glad the receptionist could speak English. I had a room on the 6th floor overlooking the train station, which was actually quite nice and the top bit of the Eiffel Tower could be spotted. The room was comfortable and rather quiet, given that it was next to the train station. Breakfast was quite pleasant, with fresh orange juice and rather nice pastries. Would not mind coming back again.

We could not get the air conditioning to run hot enough and found it was a bit cold at night. The room was OK but there was not much room to move around, and only four hangers for two adults' clothes. The hanging rail was partially broken and the bedside light shade was broken and stuck up with cello tape, which came unstuck in the heat of the light. Breakfast buffet was good.

The room was clean, with comfortable beds, the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and the location is excellent. I liked being able to take my jet-lagged toddler to the 8th floor to show her the Eiffel tower and Sacre Coeur. The only downside is the bathroom was a little tired. As long as you don't go expecting a 5 star hotel you'll have a great stay.

My wife and I had actually stayed at the hotel two years ago and selected it again for its breakfast that was included in the price of the hotel and its location to the Metro station stop on the 7 steps away from the front door. We came in on the high speed train from Strasbourg and it was a five minute walk from the est train station to the hotel. Not a fancy hotel and there are probably better neighborhoods, but quite frankly, we were only there to eat breakfast and sleep.

The staff at this hotel are some of the best I've come across at a hotel. They are helpful, friendly and professional. Special mention to Yacine and the girl who stocked up the breakfast area. However this hotel is badly let down by very poor quality rooms. The mattresses have sunk in the middle and are not at all comfortable. Don't even think about staying at this hotel if you have a bad back. The bathroom has mould on the silicon edging and and the toilet has visible algae under the rims. The bathroom could easily be sorted with a good clean and some finishing touches. The carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned for a while and haven't been replaced for a long time. The breakfast area looked dirty as did the cutlery and plates etc. The selection was also very basic however you could forgive that since it was included free but the hygiene is unexcusable. The free wifi was very good and very fast. The location was very good with Metro station underneath the hotel and Gare de l'Est train station nearby. However I would not recommend this hotel until it improves room comfort.

General is good ... location is close to Metro and Gare station ... breakfast is included although variety of choice is limited... Unfortunately.. during my stay for 3 nights .. heating was not working ... we asked the front desk but it wasn't fixed

Stayed from 23 to 26 Feb 2016 with sister. Walking distance from both Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est station. The hotel is situated beside Chateau-Landon Metro hence it is very convenient. Spacious room for an Ibis hotel. There is no kettle in the room however you can take water and hot drinks from the dining area. The cover for the paper cups does not fit though. Plentiful and typical English breakfast spread. We had a train to catch at 7:06am to Frankfurt and breakfast only starts at 7:30am. The hotel staff was very thoughtful and kind by giving us a small bag and let us take some croissants.

Classic Ibis Styles experience. large hotel, predictable furnishings and room, friendly staff. This hotel is literally right next to a metro stop and Gare de L'Est with Gare du Nord right around the corner. I love the neighborhood -- not too touristy with a couple of supermarkets, restaurants, boulangeries, boucherie, fromagerie all within 2-3 blocks. THis feels like real Paris to me. To avoid the noise of the trains, ask for a room fronting on the street. My only complaint is that, as is some other Ibis, I could not control the room temp to my liking.

Good location with metro station under the hotel building and 2 metro stations at gare de L,Est and gare du Nord nearby, good service ,reasonable price. Free of charge coffe, tea, water and WI-FI 24 hours were pleasant surprise for us.

Stayed one night with family. Clean rooms with good sized bathrooms, good service, great wifi, there is a computer to use if you don't have one with you, good breakfast but could me more options, you can leave your luggage after check out.

This hotel is in a great location, 5 minute walk from the train station. Two minute walk to the Metro. Basic breakfast and allowed you to get water, coffee, or tea throughout the day. Room was comfortable and wifi connection was good. Only bad part about the stay was our AC did not work, they were unable to fix it, and did not offer us an alternate room.

A good location, close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, and metro lines 4 and 7. Rooms were small, but adequate, though my one complaint was poor aircon. The weather was warm, but not hot, however the air conditioning failed miserably to cope with even this weather with the room being uncomfortably warm. I would hesitate to stay here in the warmer months of the summer.

Went to Paris with 5 friends and booked 2 rooms with 3 beds and it was great. Very friendly helpful staff Great clean room Plentiful tasty breakfast and great to get complimentary tea/coffee in the afternoon Will use again.

This hotel has strategic location, being close to several metro stations. It is also close to some of the places of interests such as Eiffel tower. The staff is courteous and helpful. However, there was no air-conditioning in the hotel (I was not informed when I did the booking and paid the entire amount in advance). The breakfast spread was average and did not do justice to the IBIS / Accor brand. There was not a single item which was hot / cooked.
