The toilet didn't flush properly, the napkins on the trays for the breakfast were printer paper, and despite the 30c outside, the staff refused to turn on the air conditioning, even when asked, because it would be 15c on the next day. Next day was 31c, and then I left. I got that is a cheap hotel, but it didnt had to be sweatly miserable.

A small clean comfortable room for a one night stop-over. The bed, as ever, was the best bit. Free car parking was a bonus. Didn't have breakfast but the eating area looked bright and clean. You get what you pay for - and this fitted the bill for my needs.

This is the second time we have used this hotel as a bases to visit Paris without having to drive. Good value rooms, free parking, walking distance to railway station and very helpful staff although reception is only manned limited hours.

Very well placed hotel to visit the lovely town of Fountinbleau. The rooms are clean and pleasant and the breakfast area is large with a wide selection of items and drinks. There is plenty of free parking available as well and the hotel is easy to find from the A6

We chose this hotel because it had free car parking, I wasn't sure of a car park space at the Ibis in the centre of Fontainebleau and the outdoor public parking there wasn't free. The budget hotel turned out to be only 2 Euros by bus to the centre and the bus stop was very close. The car park gate was automatically locked in the evening and your room code allowed you free access. The room was nice and clean and comfortable, we asked for extra pillows which were provided by friendly staff. The breakfast was quite sufficient and taken in a pleasant modern looking area. The only thing I have noticed about all Ibis is that there towels are not big enough and not very thick. Perhaps if they provided bigger ones than maybe guests would not request fresh ones each day and their policy on saving energy and water would improve.

Clean, friendly and efficient staff, well located. It is meant to sleep, not to stay there and spend days inside. Very easy access to train station by walking (3 minutes, 40 mins to Paris), access to city (20 mins walk), easy access to forest and castle park (5 mins). Near by there is an excellent pizzeria (mostly take-away but possible to eat there too), chinese restaurant, jpn restaurant. No luxury, but price makes it worth it.

well situated for train to Paris (station 5 minutes walk) or walk to Fontainebleau centre - pleasant double room with free parking. recommend visiting Morey-Sur-Loing by train (one or two stations) or car

I find the hotel having every basic thing you need for an overnight stay and more - a hot drinks machine in the lobby and a microwave oven!! Very close to the Fontainebleau train station and Casino Market supermarket. I chose Fontainebleau over Paris centre because of better value for money anywhere outside the centre of Paris... a clean, modern and confortable room over a small, smelly and cramped room in Paris that I could get for the same price.

The room we stayed in was not particularly clean, especially the bathroom. It was not suitable for two adults and a three year old as the bunk bed is for older children only, but there is no mention of this when booking. There were no staff present at all during our stay. At over £50 the room was not particularly good value, though the location close to Fontainebleau is good.

Nobody in the hotel all around the day to welcome customers. The room is just like an hospital one; and a man woke up us at 9am knocking loudly on the door !to say something good: the sleep quality and shower is ok.

The room was clean and surprisingly, the bedsheet, pillow and quilt DID not smell any smoke. Staff is very kind and helpful. The price is also very competitive, since with the Ibis business card there is a discount on top of the original low price.

Bearing in mind that this is a budget hotel it is well worth considering if you are planning a short stay in Fontainebleau. The hotel was clean, had all the facilities one might expect and was pleasantly located on a quiet, tree-lined street, which was an easy walk from the centre of the town and its famous chateau. There was secure parking for guests. We were able to book into our rooms and pay for them without having to wait for a member of staff (there is a computerised booking-in service in the hotel's entrance) and were provided with secure codes for entry to the hotel and our rooms.

In a good location. The Hotel was good value. Our only complaint was that the room lighting over the bed did not work and there was no plug in the basin, but overall the hotel was satisfactory. Hotel parking was adequate. Morning breakfast was good.

I have stayed in this hotel in the past and I will probably stay there again, but only because I have no other choice in terms of money and location. On my last visit, I arrived after 21.00, so there was no receptionist. It was my first time to use the automatic machine. I paid with my card and a ticket came out. I went upstairs to the room and realised that the cleaning lady forgot to clean the room!!! I had a room which was as someone had just left! Garbage everywhere, towels on the floor, etc. I went downstairs to the machine again and booked another room. They have a device for "emergencies", but how do you define emergency? What if the police comes instead of hotel staff? I was lucky there was one available, which was ok. Next morning the receptionist was having breakfast and didn't bother to come at the reception although I was standing there as if I was waiting for her. Only when I went towards her she asked me if I needed help. I explained to her what happened and her reaction was "oh, c'est la femme de menage...". No apologies, nothing. Of course, I didn't pay for the second room.

Excellent location, a 15 minute walk into the heart of Fontainebleu with a more than ample car park. A good, quiet area and a deep sleep ensued. A great and ample breakfast the next day and we were on our way. Now the bad news. The whole place is tired and neglected and badly needs what the Americans call a makeover, we English call it a refurbishment. The bathroom flooded after one shower and clearly the drains were not up to taking away the water from one shower head. From looking at the inside of the bathroom door this is not an isolated occurrence, it obviously happens frequently. Staff were over stretched for what they were asked to do, with obvious things being missed. A shame as this location is perfect for a base from where to launch into the city (Paris) and elsewhere, the station being only 5 minutes away. Mr Accord needs to spend some money on this place to get us back there again! My wife was a hotel manageress in a previous life and noticed a lot more than me! Even a basic handyman to fix the small problems would be a start...................

Stayed 2 nights - comfortable, convenient and quiet. Unfortunately during our stay my daughter's dressing gown was accidentally sent to their laundry. Duty manager telephoned, sorted the problem and even drove to the laudry to recover item and presented a delighted daughter with freshly laundered dressing gown. Many thanks and nice to see that there are still gentlemen with a great sense of responsibility
