This is the 3rd time that my wife and I have stayed here - the first being 3 years ago when our car had a breakdown on our way to Vienna! We liked it so much that we've returned each year since. It is a budget hotel, so no frills or luxuries but it is clean, the buffet breakfast quite acceptable, and the staff - while small in number, are friendly and helpful.
The rooms are compact but fine for an over night or short stay. The hotel is on the outskirts of Wurzburg, so really the only way into town is either the bus (not a frequent service and no return service in the afternoon/evening) or you drive in and use the excellent car park under the main square. The hotel is surrounded by a number of car showrooms etc, but this actually makes for a very quiet night!
If you want a hotel with some frills and within walking distance of the sights of Wurzburg (and I should say that it is a little city WELL worth visiting - the local wines and food are terrific, there are some lovely buildings and it is easy to walk around), then this is not the place for you. If you want a hotel which is clean, safe and out of the way, then give it a go!
The only real downside to this hotel, is that there are NO lifts, and no porter service (budget - remember?)so be warned if you have heavy bags.
