We had prepaid reservation with breakfast included, but no breakfast when we arrived so staff only gave us breakfast option if we paid it again. We had the same problem at another Ibis Budget hotel in germany, paying for a breakfast that we didn't had

very clean basic room but that's what you pay for. We have now stayed here 3 times as a stop over to carry on further. No food near by, can order pizza, so we bought food and drink to take in to the room.

Very good value for money, but the bathroom could be cleaner. Otherwise very good location and service. 24h reception came in handy, as we arrived just before midnight. Parking was convenient and for free. Breakfast was nice and decent for the price. Good coffee.

permanent ibis budget customer, however there're very unpleasant and not political guy on reception during check-out. stay at 26 Sep 2017 location is fine. smooth check in. room is basic but good value for money Reception guy need improve service skills

Although the location in an industrial area is very quiet at night, guests were allowed to smoke in corridors and other non-smoking areas and talk loudly late at night, without any intervention from the staff. The fact that the hotel is unstaffed after 10 p.m. means that it relies on guests respecting house rules such as no-smoking inside. That completely fails in that case, and there is no way to contact anyone to stop the abusive guests' behaviour. My wife and I have been staying in many IBIS hotels (both red and blue) for years, and this is the first time we had this happen. This location is terrible advertising for the IBIS brand, and the location should either be staffed with serious staff or closed down.

God rooms, spacey, but the whole hotel stank of tobacco and it was not very nice. Please make all your hotels non-smoking. Easy to find and in a good position close to the motorway/autobahn. Thank you.

The receptionist was very friendly & extremely helpful. The room smelt of smoke, especially in the toilet. Maybe smoke detectors are needed in the toilet. Convenient place to stay as so close to the motorway. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We had a good meal in the Italian restaurant.

IBIS HOTEL is for us a excellent hotel to stay. Calm area and in 02 minutes back on the motorway ! The rooms are clean and the staff is helpfull and kind. Stayed there before and will book with them again for sure .

We where travelling with two small dogs, and it was not possible to mark that when we booked the room through web. When we arrive the hotel in Mannheim, the hostess was pissed off because we have not mark that the two dogs joined us.

We stayed for one night en route between Austria and southern UK -- a useful stopover hotel, and very close (10 min drive) to beautiful Heidelberg. Clean and comfortable; some rooms allow smoking, so remember to ask for a non-smoker if necessary! Situated in an industrial zone, but there are a number of eateries within walking distance. Very helpful guy on reception spoke excellent English.

The size of the room was little larger than a prison cell, the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke, particularly in the corridors, the walls were bare. The rooms are advertised as basic but the charge of €60 suggested that a little more provision could be provided, for example shampoo in a dispenser in the shower. I was extremely disappointed.

Noisy when guests come and go in the early hours. Breakfast was not made available to us even though there was space - even if we could have given our 2-year-old something, that would have been nice. The receptionist was sullen and negative, as if everything I asked was wasting her time.

The hotel is conveniently located between Heidelberg and Mannheim. It's in an industry complex, so really just OK for an overnight stay. I arrived when check-in was not staffed, so I had to use the automated check-in which gave me a smoking-room. That was a bit unfortunate as the room was quite smelly. I didn't bother to as for a change once reception was staffed as I overheard a conversation, that the hotel was fully booked that night. The room was adequate with separate toilet and shower which I found good. The bed and pillows are OK for the standard of the hotel. Internet (WiFi) was easy to access, the speed average. Breakfast was very good with a good range of options, very well done.

Cheap, convenient, clean, easy to book, welcomed with a nice smile. Handy for Heidleberg where we visited the castle. Stayed here both ways on our trip to and from Italy. Handy one day easy journey to Rotterdam for the Hull ferry

Fit its proposition. Well located, economic fees and near other sources of shopping like supermarkets, restaurants, snack, gas station with or without convenience shopping. Parking included. The rooms were small but good.

Simple hotel with proper room, good for 1 nights stay during centre. Situated in industry area. Self service checkin. In the morning no one was at reception to provide an invoice, and no note that the reception was closed after 11 am. That can be improved. Price 49 euro a little too high for this type of hotel

I booked a room and received confirmation. When I arrived to the hotel, there was no room available. The receptionist had confirmation of my reservation, but she did not prepare a room. And she was not prepared to search for a free room in another hotel.

We were a family looking for accommodation in Heidelberg and the Mannheim Ibis was the only one available to us. Note that from this hotel it is a good 15 minute drive into the centre of Heidelberg and the hotel is pretty isolated in an industrial/commercial area of Mannheim. The trade off is that the hotel is cheap, clean and well appointed. Once at the hotel, there is nothing to do or see in the immediate vicinity so we viewed it as a bed for the night, and nothing more. Having said this, it was good value for money and you can park in the grounds on the hotel.

Friendly, efficient and helpful reception. Comfortable bed and very clean room and bathroom. The air conditioning, which was certainly needed, worked well. Plenty of parking. We have stayed here many times before (when it was Etap) and the breakfasts were always excellent. This time there was building work in progress so no proper breakfast room. However what they offered was very good value at only 3 Euros each, but I'll be glad when the breakfast room is restored and they offer the full range of breakfast items again! My only adverse comment is that I would like a good English speaker on reception as my German is very limited.

The rooms in this budget hotel are spartan, but adequate, with free WiFi and air conditioning, which was welcome for many travelers during the unusually hot weather in mid-July. The entry is via a 6-digit code rather than a key. Breakfast is €6.
