evrything was broken only possible to get imn day time and with car do not take public transport than only taxi if you late than evrithink is broken and poeple by loudspeker no polita and you can not get in better escape from this hotel
Nice place to spend the night after a tiring day at the Con (Essen Spiel). Good accommodations and breakfast. The night staff on the other hand, specificaly the guy at the reception desk was very dry and even rude.
1. On the sign outside it says 55€, but no room is less then 76€. False advertising. 2. The bathroom here is a plastic Dixie Klo mounted in the corner, shower as well, door large enough to slide in sideways. An actual large plastic cube with two doors, one to the toilet, one to the mini shower. 3 the sink is mounted on the wall on the other side of the room alone. Positive: large bed Positive: the personnel know the area well and give great dinner suggestions. Won’t ever stay there again, too little for the price.
Good location near bus stop and 5 minutes walk to underground station.Good breakfast with a good choice. Friendly helpful staff. American style dinner a short walk away. Plenty of free car park space in front of hotel.
A remote hotel, but with friendly staff. The "remote control" check-in was rather unusual. Further, thanks to our taxi driver who was fluent with the German Language we were able to check-in through this system, as, otherwise as the English translation did not work, we would have had a problem in checking-in.
the room was perfect as always, my boyfriend and i always book the same hotel in Essen. We love going there and the reception is kind and helpfull. We will return to this Hotel everytimme we go to Essen. Wonderfull city and wonderfull hotel<
The toilet was far to low no very good for a disabled person ,the same applies to to shower the step to both i.e. Toilet and shower far to high, the breakfast was very minimal considering the price.I stayed in other Accor Hotels but this one was terrible,
Normally you will get the service that you need if it is fair at the ibis but in this case it was an groupie old person were it was very difficult to get what I needed. Will not go to this hotel again.
Very nice man at reception advised me where to eat and I wasn't disappointed , he was really helpful and showed me where to go, he spoke very good English and just wanted to help with my stay, would go again if it is on my route next time
Check-in: No access code received after online check in. Bathroom - plastic tubes (both showe and WC) put behind wardrobe style doors. Zero privacy. Room service knocking to your door at 8am to review if room is empty. Wifi - none knows how to access this Breakfast - disaster. Food is not re-supplied, no cutlery, dirty tables, mess and none to ask for service. Strongly disrecommend.
This hotel is concrete built, very noisy as sound travels through the building and causes an echo.the toilets are very small cubiclesIt is hard to get parking spaces. The worst is the staff very rude arrogant and not at all helpful
No fridge available in hotel, poor sound insulation, a lot of drunken people in the hotel, sound insulation and air-conditioning of toilet was also bad, code for entering the hotel at night did not worked
I am a currier-driver and need a place to sleep and a place to eat i the neighborhood. This IBIS Budget is very good located. The service is good but....! I had to pay 6 euro for a cane of coffee to take away. That is very too much. Yoy can eat just beside the heotel, that is very good.
Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Good for a single night on your way. Very easy to go downtown by bike. Located in an area with offices. Some noise from traffic to be expected as the location is easy access
This was a very pleasant stay with a very convenient restaurant near by and very helpful staff I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family ---------------------------------
Excellent service! The manager there was extremely helpful. He noticed that I had another booking at this hotel which I thought I cancelled but apparently this was not the case and very kindly took care of effective cancelling and reducing my overall bill. Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, I had a choice of rooms with different bed types i.e. bank or twin. Rooms as always very clean. Breakfast with freshly baked rolls and usual choice of excellent German spreads i.e. metwurst - yummy! Wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The only remark for this hotel to consider is to make sure that clients have somewhere to sit at outside the building during those lovely summer evenings while sipping on their Bitburgers
Ideal base if you are visiting exhibitions at the Messe etc. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Unfortunately, the wireless internet was not working properly, hopefully this was just a hitch. We would stay here again.
I want to warn further customers of Ibis Budget Essen Nord. The hotel manager is very unfriendly, unhelpful, and extremely rude. I was booked for 5 days in total. Originally, I had booked without paying for the first four days. I decided to stay one extra night and paid for that night. When I checked in in the afternoon on Wednesday, Oct. 23 I had to practically beg the hotel manager to let me in and pay cash for my room. I did not know I needed a credit card to check in at 4:00 PM! I was very polite and he was very rude but let me in anyway after complaining a lot. I did not feel welcome! At that point, I mentioned that I had paid for the fifth night already and would like to stay in the same room the whole time. He agreed. On Sunday afternoon, when I cam back to the hotel, my password for the door was void and he ignored me. After a while of confusion, I knocked on the door and he finally showed up and said "who are you?" knowing fully well who I was. All of my belongings were up in my room locked away and he had seen me around for four days. I told him who I was and which room I was staying in. He ignored this information and told me he doesn't know me and then the cost of a room to stay the night. I told him I had already paid for the night and he got angry and disagreed! Finally he checked the computer and saw I was correct and he made a mistake. He did not apologize! He made my stay very uncomfortable!
We stayed in 4 different IBIS hotels during this trip ... this was the only IBIS Budget Hotel and was actually better than the IBIS Styles and the 2 IBIS hotels. The guy on reception was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable - the shower and toilet had the feel of a ferry cabin but we were not expecting a marble bathroom for the price paid!!
good value, excellent location, the room is clean but the bathroom is a little bit "tiny" and the shower cable is not long enough, also some of the keypad buttons on the room keypad are not working always so you might miss the first attempt to unlock the room
