The time of people working in the reception was not good for who is travelling on holidays. Every one will go out early and come back super late, and no one will be in the hotel. Another point is that check-in machine was not working.

At first we were allocated to room 321. It was no success: the room was clean, but smelly and worn out. A change of rooms was granted and we ended up in room 119. That was an excellent room. We would be happy to stay here again. Beds were OK, sanitation a bit cramped, but OK. Like most cheap hotels, it might be susceptible to neighbour-noise, but we did not hear a thing. Probably, it helped that the hotel was not heavily occupied during our stay. S-bahn Springpfuhl and other public transport are nearby. It is surrounded by a typical East German living neighboughood, many high rise appartment buildings, one of them looks quite run down. Not much of recreation around, but there is an excellent Greek restaurant at 0.5 km walking in a modest shopping centre. There is a nice park (Springpfuhl) at about 1 km. But remember, the excellent public transport gets you toe the centre of berlin quite easily! (Our remarks ("bewertung") are based on room 119).

Convenient budget hotel in east Berlin and easy to reach by public transports, by bus, tram on S-bahn a few minutes walk from Springfuhl station. Quiet area so able to have window open at night. Very nice and helpful staff in reception even when we can't find my reservation!

I have stayed at various ibis budget hotels and always liked them for their good value for money. However, this was the worst ibis budget hotel I have stayed at. To begin with, the room layout was weird. The basin was in the room, next to the bed. The shower and toilet were in separate rooms. This was very inconvenient. The shower had an awful fart like smell when we entered and we had to open the windows and AC on for a long time to make the smell go away. There are no keys given to the guests. There is a keypad for each room and you have to punch in the password to open the door. When we first entered the room we had no problem. We then went out and came back late at night and the password would simply not work. The reception was closed and our phone call was not answered. Strangely, after 10 mins of trying and trying, we managed to open the door with the same password The hotel is well connected to public transport, and the tram stops right outside. Won't stay here again.

The window did not close. The heating does not work properly. The beds are no beds... just a thin matress on a wooden board -like in prison. No, actually: prison is better. The coffee is horrible. Staff is friendly though.

When I got first room, the lock system was broke. The second room was dirty - only sheets and towels were clean. The rest of the room, window, door, mirror - need to be cleaned. There were maintenance works near the room. The third room was at the second floor. Avoid the second floor if you don't like smoking. Breakfast: poor.

The Reciptioner he was unbehave & not friendly! Even i told the other ppl who they work there to tell the admistrarion of ibis about him I had been once in ibis hotel in paris, but the Reciptioners they were so kind and friendly. He is a man his age between 25-35

hroom and wc were very small and smell bad! Staff is rude . They made me wait out almost 15 minutes in frozen they didnt open the door untill 5.00 Pm adviced me using machine for checkin but it was out of order. Althougth I explained that their answer was only " you have to wait out till 5.00 pm ". The location of the hotel is good but I would never stay again . that was a terrible experience!

Good Cheap Hotel with a tram station right outside the hotel giving easy access to Berlin city centre and the attractions. Breakfast as much as you can eat - continental and not a UK fry up! Staff very helpful with transport and leaflets on places to visit.

I stayed for 11 nights and they did not do any cleaning of the room except doing bed and changing towels. In the end there were piles of dust on the floor. The girl working in the reception was the most arrogant person I have met in a hotel reception because she answered the phone several times instead of making me check in and get the room. Also you had to pay day by day if you might wanted to change hotel. The location of the hotel is also very bad and a long way from the city and all kinds of pubs or shops. The room was good though.

A convenient location not too far from the city centre in the eastern suburb Marzahn, which is a mix of high rise flats and high rise office buildings. (Only a few stops from the Ostkreuz interchange)This hotel is great value for where it is. The public areas were clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet was generous and the area light and airy. My only gripes were the internet - very patchy signal in Room 440, which I did mention at reception, but fine downstairs. Also the shower drain emitted the sort of sewer smell you expect in city streets, but not in your room.

The room smelled badly and I had to ask for extra cleaning of the bathroom. I reserved breakfast and would never do it again. It is very poor for the price of 6, 90 euro and there was no change in options throughout the whole week I stayed. It was not an entirely bad experience but not a pleasant one either.

Terrible experience with the reception guy,not helpful, very rude when we approached him,no information, after travelling a long distance we couldn't check in ,as we were told to do it on a machine infront of the reception.i have stayed in most of the ibis hotels, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

I like Ibis Budget Hotels in general. You get a basic but good service and you know what to expect. But this Ibis Budget hotel is not good compared with others of the same brand. The check-in is unprofessional, the room is outdated, the sink does not drain so I had to change rooms. The was a strange odour in the toilet. Breakfast is rather basic and the location is far from the center of Berlin but there is a good connection by S-Bahn. Around the hotel itself there is nothing interesting within walking distance. Next time in Berlin I will choose another hotel.

I've been during one week in Berlin and the hotel (Ibis Budget), though it's basic due to the lower price, is really good. The breakfast was good. All clean and match my expectations. No complaints. I would recommend.

Everything in this hotel was OK. Room for one person with good size, internet WiFi, breakfast, room service, no problem. Good access to public transport to city centre. I recommend for all of you. Enjoy your stay.

I stayed for 5 nights, Room was ok, tidy reasonably clean, bed very good, cleaning operator annoying, at 9 am knocks the door asking when I leave, when I left at 11am, no cleaning, nor towels changed. room was very cold although I turned to maximum.

I must say though that I used to stay in this hotel a few times before and also in other ibis budgets throughout germany but my last experience was simply pretty bad ! I always stay there when I'm in Berlin and have my daughter for a weekend . . . so during my last stay I went to the reception and asked the woman and the desk if I could have my room a little bit eralier (like 12pm instead of 2pm). She agreed but what happend next was just not right. Although I am a business card holder and all my details are on my account I had to fill out the registration letter. She even asked for my ID card number (that was her main concern). I did that and she made me handover my id card so that she could double check the id card number !!!! I never had to that and this is not right. I am not a criminal, I don't look like a criminal, I have a german passport and my bank card is also a german bank card. There is no reason for them to ask for an ID card and even double check the number on the piece of paper with the actual number on my id card. I tought of writing a complaint letter to the management but did not do that . . . maybe I might do that but for now I'm going to stay in the ibis budget at Alexanderplatz as the stuff over there is much friendlier. Apart from that the hotel is alright. It's cheap - you get what you pay for. Keeps me and my daughter dry and sheltered. Basic room, basic service, nothing special but like I said before: It's cheap and cheerful.

+ Clean and nice room, good localization (traveling by car). Check-in via ATM-like machine is a really good idea! - Lack of WiFi access in this particular room, in corridor it works fine. Air conditioner not operating, too hot.

Double room but one chair only, room pretty cold (December) as heating system out of order however receptionist gave portable heater. Nice service, hotel located very convenient near S-bahn station. In short, recommended hotel, good value for money.
