Ideal situation for drive between Channel ports at Calais and Bordeaux, just off A28 motorway north of Rouen. Hotel is relatively good value for money. Its clean, comparatively comfortable for a 1 night stay and breakfast is good value for money.

There is quite a lot of variation between Ibis Budget Hotels. Much of this is down to the management but a current trend is to make the rooms smaller. At this one we did not feel particularly welcome and the room was very small with no means of holding water in the small washbasin in the combined toilet shower room. The only place close to the hotel where one could eat was of mediocre standard. Would probably not stay there again.

Got to the hotel at 11pm. Gate to the car park is locked from 9pm unless you have checked in on-line and have your room number and access code (we hadn't, as you can't use on line check in with a credit card with a different name/address to the reservation, despite calling to change it). Room was modern, clean, free good wifi and reasonable breakfast with lots of refills on coffee, OJ, croissants, toast, cereal. Seemed quite quiet, unlike other reviews, but were only there for 8 hours. Very reasonable price and was able to cancel and rebook when I got the date wrong.

For the second year running there was no coffee at breakfast. It really is unbelieveable that no coffee was available when you have paid for braekfast. It lessens the value for the stay when must then find somewhere for abreakfst coffee.

We stayed here on our way through France. The rooms are clean but we found them hot at night. The restaurant over the road is decent ( if not gourmet) and makes an easy place to go and eat - it does get surprisingly busy though. You can pick up a 10 percent discount card in the hotel. Unfortunately we didn't get the best nights sleep but this was down to some inconsiderate Brits returning at 11pm with their noisy kids. Not exactly what you need when you have a long journey the following day. Breakfast is good but the eating area is busy and a bit cramped. All in all, an OK stay for a reasonable price but we may go up a notch from a budget hotel next time.

conveniently placed for us, just off auto route, when driving to and from our holiday destination and back home. clean & bright with a comfortable bed. breakfast as expected fruit, cereal, bread and jam with choice of drinks For an evening meal there is now a restaurant just near (2 mins walk) and there's plenty of food choice. It is poplar especially on a Sat night so if not going early make sure you book.

Only had one electric socket in the room and it was a very small room. Have stayed in Ibis Budget before and this was the worst of them. Decoration very tatty, only two small towels - not much use for a shower!

This is a convenient stopover if travelling from southern France to the UK. We have used it dozens of times. This time we checked in on the Sunday night, were asked if we wanted breakfast, said yes, paid for it and went happily to bed. The next morning when we came down looking forward to a hearty breakfast to set us up for the long journey ahead, the foyer was thronging with perplexed guests, an empty reception desk, shutters and bare tables. No-one knew what was going on. And yes, this was a public holiday in France, but there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for the fact that Ibis management has since offered neither apology or refund! What a poor show!

Booked it on line and chose it as it fitted in with my ferry crossing and forward travel plans for the next day. The greeting at reception was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and everything worked. The only downside was the choice of places to eat, although my only choice turned out to be good value for money and the quality was fine. I would recommend this place as a stop over place to stay.

We have stayed there before with no problems, the hotel is under going a reverb so the room is getting decorated also. We felt as the room was not finished we should not have been charged full price. The breakfast was good with a nice clean dinning area.

Why are there ash trays in each room?, The smell of tabbaco was evident, also a prositute was allowed into the hotel after midnight. Building and maintenance were going on but didnt cause a problem. We love staying at Ibis Budget but this was a bad experiance, we left a day early. Regards Roland Livings

Perfect location for a stopover following a night time crossing. Friendly welcome and room was clean and warm. Breakfast plentiful and set us up for the day. A new restaurant has opened within yards of the hotel making it the perfect place to stay while travelling

In room 122 The mattress was very thin and thus hard. The paint around the bathroom door damaged and, question of taste probably, only a fixed shower, don't like that. All this does not apply to the stay we did the week before in 127. Breakfast was limited for the price. Coffee in the machine is very expensive. Welcome is always pleasant.

I had booked in as I was revisiting the town and wanted to give my money to the locals not a chain hotel. It is a short walk from the town centre (5mins) and there is a bakery just over the road. We were greeted by the barman and he called for the hotel reception lady- she was nice but a little patronising as she spoke to us in English (I had started in French) and then made a comment that I should reply in French since she has spoken in English- not sure I understand her logic but she was brief in explaining the timings, security etc and asked about breakfast. The room was well laid out and had everything we required (would have liked to have stayed longer but our ferry awaited) clean, fresh but a little dated wallpaper- few holes in the walls where a phone had been mounted. Double glazed windows which opened up fully onto the street (residential area)- a little road noise in the morning but nothing more than a few cars at 6am. Bathroom was clean, very condensed in size but had everything’s we required- plus the towels were pure white! (could have been a little bigger but I am used to bath sheets for my creature comforts) I don’t think there were many guests and there people who were in the next room were quiet- except when their window was open and we could hear a little noise- nothing more than you would expect to hear form your neighbours at home- living noises.

Great location for a stopover from Manchester UK to Charente France by the Euro Tunnel. Basic but clean and comfy. Dogs welcome too which is a bonus! They are soon to open a restaurant next door which will be very convenient. There are some nice places to eat in nearby Bois Guillaume

Very happy with this budget hotel just off the A28. Ideal for a break in the journey south. We had 2 rooms for 5 of us, both clean, comfy beds, quiet and ideal for a night's stay. Continental breakfast had a good choice. Supermarket close by to stock up for the journey. Would definitely stay again.

It was very difficult to find this hotel even though our sat nav took us within 100 yds of it. It's just off a roundabout but the sign is so small it's easy to miss it and end up back on the motorway! We were talked into paying 3 euros extra for a recently renovated room, which was ok except that the room was on the motorway side. The traffic noise, plus clouds of midges made it impossible to have the window open so we roasted as there is no air-con in summer. Decent shower and breakfast.

We usually stay at this hotel on our bi-annual trips to UK as it is convenient for A28 motorway to break our journey to the Tunnel. It is consistently clean, staff friendly and pleasant and parking is good. A more than adequate breakfast buffet is available at modest cost.

Not luxury by any stretch of the imagination but clean and comfortable.. For an overnight stop on the way south it's ideal. Easy to find and a reasonable breakfast. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment which will make it even better.

This hotel is very cheap, which is the best thing about it. The bed linen was clean but the carpets needed hoovering as they were dusty and grubby in the corners. Quite warm but opening a window meant very loud traffic noise from the lorries on the nearby motorway. The room could sleep 3 and had a bunk - but only 2 towels are provided. And these were thin and small! It was a weird set up with the shower-room being of the sort you get in a cabin on the ferry. And the sink was in the bedroom. I suppose this was a space saving thing but it didn't work very well. Clothes got wet and hard to dry off with thin towels. The breakfast was paid for separately and very poor. The fruit was tinned and there was little in the way of choice. Cereal, coffee and bread/croissants. No meat or cheese or fresh fruit which was a pity for the money.
