Very handy for ferry arrivals/departures. No problems on late arrival but auto key code did not work on return journey. Luckily staff still on site at 7pm to offer alternative which turned out to be a double family room to sleep six!

this ibis budget was not up to standard, the staff where not to friendly even though we spoke french , but of course with a English accent, the shower was very small , with the shower mixer in a position where if you caught it through lack of space, you could be scalded, there was smoking in the opposite rooms, when we complained to staff it was ignored. will not stay there again.

Cheap and cheerful. Family room with a bunk bed that was not suitable for our 2 year old so we put the mattress on the floor for him. Shower was good and every where was clean. The touch lights by the bed were a pain as our toddler kept turning them on and off but that can't be helped. Couldn't work out how to change TV channel but not a huge deal as we went there for very long.

Very pleased with our stay at the Ibis Budget. easy to find and less than 15 minutes drive from the ferry at Ouistreham. The room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. Access was easy even though we arrived after reception had closed.

The hotel is very convenient to the ferry port at Ouisterham. It is clean and comfortable. With a very friendly and helpful manageress Patricia. Will always use it when we come to France to visit our property in Normandy

When you arrive at the hotel you will be met by an untidy/unkempt front of the hotel. At he time I entered there was no one on reception so I went straight to the room as I already had the door code and room number. You will notice the overpowering disinfectant smell throughout the establishment. I tried several times to complete the online check in but was just presented with error messages. I sent an email to accor customer services but to date I have still not received a response. The room itself just has a bed and a sort of stool as moveable items. The shower has one of those cling to you plastic curtains and liquid soap dispenser, good shower pressure and hot. The toilet was heavily stained and required a deep clean. As there was no shower mat I used the spare towel to stand on, not a pretty sight when I picked it up, Bed was a firm sponge mattress that suited me but may be uncomfortable for those who prefer a softer option. Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment. Would I stay again? It was cheap and not very cheerful so probably not.

First room was not made up, second had no pillows and a faulty wc, third room was satisfactory. Manageress threw in complimentary breakfasts. Arrived after hours, which was another inconvenience in conveying the situation to Ibis's central control over their intercom. Eventually, all was sorted.

Have stayed here quite a few times its very convenient for the ferry terminal. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is good. We find we get a better night's sleep in a hotel room rather than a cabin on the ferry.

As always the hotel was clean and comfortable, The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. You can't beat this hotel for value and as an overnight stop before catching the early ferry back to the UK it is very convenient. This time our only complaint was that there was a constant noise of running water which seemed to come from the next room to ours (number 216). Otherwise as good as always. Will be back before long.

Met our requirements and expectations perfectly. Found the staff very welcoming and friendly. The only downside is that my Accor Hotel loyalty account is not credited at Ibis Budget Hotels. It would also be useful to have a chair in the room so two people can sit at the table.

We used this Ibis budget hotel for a stop over after arriving in Ouistriham off a late ferry. Reception was closed when we eventually found the hotel but access to the hotel and our allocated room was easy, using payment card and booking code. The room was a reasonable size, with ensuite shower and toilet. There was plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable. Furnishings in the room are mimimal but there is a TV with plenty of French channels. CNN or BBC NEWS channels would have been a bonus. Would definitely use the hotel again as a stop over on route from the ferry port to more southerly destinations in France. Better value and comfort than an overnight cabin on the ferry.

If you are on the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth and want an overnight stop before heading further south the following day - or even if you are on 'shopping' trip (the hotel is next door to an enormous 'Carrefour!') - look no further.

We were very happy with this hotel but was disappointed that after having phoned them about a forgotten jacket and a request that they hold onto it until we returned 2 weeks later it was not there for us to collect.

As a place to stay for one night after the ferry crossing from Portsmouth the Ibis budget was just the job. Only 15 minutes from the ferry and easy to find. Good shower and comfy bed, had a great nights sleep.

The hotel has been transformed. Reception is now very welcoming. Unfortunately I was not able to sample the breakfast due to an early departure but the layout looks a great improvement. WELL DONE. The room was clean and comfortable.

We've stay in this hotel probably about 4 times a year, usually when we are heading or returning from a main holiday. We usually stay for about 2 nights at a time.Very helpful and friendly staff,a clean hotel and very handy for the nearby shopping mall.Very handy for the ferry port and also for visiting local tourist sites. Can't go wrong.

Less than 10 minutes drive from exiting the ferry port at Ouistreham this hotel makes an ideal stop if you are on the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth and you do not want to continue driving during the night.

I was expecting something a bit run down. But its not. It was clean and warm and convenient to get too. We used this hotel after getting of the ferry. It was very quiet at night no road noise. I would use again if passing this way again.

Reasonable value. In a handy location close to shops etc. A good size room but the floor was not so clean. The absence of a lift made it difficult for a disabled guest. The receptionist was helpful and provided a hair dryer on request.
