The hotel itself is very well positioned within the town. The rooms are compact but not uncomfortable. Toilet/shower is fully sealed off from the rest of the room, which is good - a problem I have encountered at other French hotels who (incredibly) believe a 'saloon door' toilet is acceptable in double/twin rooms. The price is reasonable. The front desk is staffed 24/7 (again, I have stayed in some French hotels that don't do this and I have had to wait many hours to check in). So far so good. The bad: I stayed in room 203 at this hotel. I realised on my final day that the reason the hotel was so loud in the morning (from 7am->10am) was not simply because the thin walls were letting me hear other people leaving their rooms. Rather, it was a defective electronic lock that was making a loud 'clunk....click' noise from my own door every 2 minutes when the lock was in the upright position. That noisy door lock cost me almost 6 hours of sleep (being woken every 2 minutes by the loud shocking noise) over the 2 days I stayed there, leaving me totally exhausted rather than refreshed by my stay in this hotel. The cleaners were also rather noisy, I feel. On this basis I think I would prefer not to stay in this hotel again in future.

stayed 2 nights at Compiegne Centre Ville, exploring nearby castles. Bus and train station, also the inner city is within 5min walk. Room was comfortable enough for two (a little bit hot during the night)

Easy access, free car parking lot near by. Staffs were very friendly and can communicate in English too. Rooms were cleaned everyday. The breakfast buffet was also worth for the money but unfortunaltely there was no eggs or any cooked stuff in the menu. It is located at the very city center , hence an evening walk in the avenue or finding a restaurant , cafe or bar is verz easy.

Great value & location. Parking nearby. Basic typical ibis budget but you know it's clean & staff always helpful. Bikes kept safe in storage area. Would definitely stay again next Paris Roubaix! Well done!

Since it's refurbishment, this has improved significantly. It has always been a simple and pleasant stay en route, and now is much improved. Pleasant and helpful staff, a welcome at the end of the day, and Compiegne has lots of good restaurants and an interesting old quarter to explore in the evening.

We arrived very tired, wet and dirty having cycled all day in terrible weather from Arras. They could not have been more helpful or welcoming despite the sight of us. the rooms were very clean and warm and the breakfast delicious.

We have stayed for one night only. Basic room but it was clean and comfortable. Location is excellent, basically is in the centre, there are few restaurants nearby. Gentelmen in reception was very polite and helpfull.

We chose the hotel is it is right in the middle of this lovely city and close to a car park (6 euros for overnight). As expected, usual standards for an Ibis Budget, rooms small but very clean. Could do with a bit more storage space and the bathroom was tiny. Overall we would definitely stay again.

My expectations weren't very high, given the price of 40EUR per night, but of all budget hotels I've stayed at, this one was absolutely wonderful. Make no mistake: the rooms are small, breakfast is quite minimal, soap but no shampoo, etc. so if you are looking for something more classy, don't stay at this hotel. What made this hotel stand out for me is that the people running the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful, the quality of the beds is wonderful, and everything is nice and tidy. If you are just looking for a place to sleep without anything fancy, then this one does the job perfectly. It also has the benefit of being right in the historic center of town, with the main square just a few hundred meters away.

Good place to stay except that the plumbing of the toilet was faulty and the noise of it constantly refilling kept me awake for hours, before I started fiddling with the system and eventually silenced it (though this put it out of action!). Soundproofing of room not very good either. A lousy night's sleep.

Hotel is basic no bells and whistles, but very clean, comfy beds all newly refurnbished. Breakfast , basic but fine. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very central to town and local restaurants.
