Everything fine, as usual. This is a budget priced motel, and offers exactly that, clean, low cost accommodation, near to a couple of good restaurants. I regularly use this, and Ibis budgets hotels...

Overnight stay in Chartres. This is a tired hotel and I didn't appreciate being put in a smoking room. As this was an overnight and we were'nt there for long I didn't ask to move - so my fault really. Clean, basic accomodation.

Hotel is very clean, rooms typical Ibis Budget Style with bunk bed over double bed. Quite well located if you have transport. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was really good the first night but only average the second...we got up a bit later and there was hardly anything left

This hotel was well positioned for an overnight stop on the way south and was easy to find and access. The room was quite small compared to other budgets we have visited and could be best described as "tired". The shower cubicle was very dirty and the toilet basin was not a pretty sight either, but the room was warm, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The digital door lock was faulty, with the number 6 requiring several pushes before it would register within our door lock. The reason it even scored an 'average' was the friendly & helpful staff onsite and the hygenic breakfast room and excellent service. The breakfast was of a good standard & kept well stocked throughout our time there. We probably wouldn't stay here again, but know that Ibis Budget hotels elsewhere are generally of a good standard & value for money.

Quite ,peaceful and restful night,. We will use again. We travel regularly from England to the Dordogne and find that Chartes is an idea break in the journey. There are plenty of restaurants nearby serving a variety of foods. I can strongly recommend the Ibis Budget to frequent traveller through France

I stay here most months when I go to Chartrexpo for the antique market and it's always stress free and pleasant. Easy to find, secure parking, friendly staff and a good breakfast early sets me up for the day too!

We stayed in Ibis budget Chartres for one night. It's fine, clean, easy to find. Quite a bit on the outskirts of town, so not great if you don't have a car. We got a discount voucher for Courte Paille, which is right opposite. It was good to find a room for 4. Nothing to write home about, though...

Nice clean hotel in a handy location when travelling through. The key code doors are a bit fidley in these hotels but that is the only down point. Good breakfast. I would stay at this hotel again when next on route to the South.

Not the best Ibis Budget we have stayed in. Although it has been upgraded, the shower, toilet and washhand basin were all in one room. I am sure this was to save space but the room seemed cramped. The bed was comfortable. We had a problem with the lock to the room not accepting the entry code and we had to change room because of this. The location of the hotel was quite difficult to find and the directions quite brief. We thought the room was quite expensive compared to other Ibis Budget hotels which were cheaper, nicer and in better locations.

Having stayed in Ibis Budget hotels before we thought we knew what to expect. Unfortunately the Chartres hotel didn't meet the standard. Arriving late we went straight to bed in the 'family room', beds are good ! Unfortunately the window blind was broken and wouldn't stay closed so we had to 'be inventive with some towels'. Waking up the next day to find out that the shower was broken as well. (shower head wouldn't stay up and water was pouring out everywhere). Cleanliness at breakfast room and reaction from the guy at desk on our complaints was telling. last time at this hotel !

bathroom floor not clean, shower tray dingy in places. muck on the steps up to the bunk bed - yuk. bed too hard. this place needs a re-fit and a good clean. Only Breakfast and the coffee saved it,that was quite good.

Downsides at this Ibis Budget were a small room, and when the bathroom light failed during the evening it could not be replaced until the maintenance man arrived next morning. Also it is a long way out of the centre of Chartres so a car is a necessity. Despite the above, we would/will stay there again!

The hotel was on a service station forecourt which we knew and double glazing kept out most noise but due to the high temperatures and the fact there was no air conditioning it made for a very sleepless , hot sweaty night and was far from acceptable for the price. The reception was not cordial and breakfast was very minimal for the price. The cost of staying here was the highest we had paid for our driven trip through France, Spain and Portugal and was certainly not worth the money and was obviously only due to the location just outside Chartres.

This hotel is in an excellent location close to restaurants and major roads. However, there is no air conditioning and it was a VERY hot night when I stayed. I couldn't leave the window open because there was too much noise from the road. Also, this was a disabled room. Excellent bathroom facilities, but right next door to the front door. I couldn't get to sleep because of all the noise of people arriving and slamming doors. I would recommend moving the disabled room to a quieter location. I would happily have rented a fan from the desk as well, but none was offered. Suggest having some for rent if you are not putting in AC.

Used the various French chain hotels for some years, they all seem consistent. so you know what to expect. Hotel is close to major roads so traffic noise is to be expected if you sleep with the windows open. Decided to forgo the hotel bread and cereals breakfast (€5.94) in favour of a nearby Mcdonalds

We needed an overnight stop between York and Barcelona. We had a boat on a trailer and were worried about security. The parking was fenced off with a security controlled gate and cctv around the car park. After adding the wheel clamp, we felt happy that we had done what we needed to. The ibis budget was cheap, the room was clean and comfy; we all had showers the morning - just what we needed. There was the double bed and the single over the top as advertised and we all slept. We arrived at about 11 pm and the night staff chap was brilliant and helpful.

When we arrived during check in the girl was on her phone the whole time without a Bonjour or hello. During the whole process the phone did not leave her ear. The room was not the cleanest. We had the misfortune of the fire alarm going off early in the morning again the same person did not talk at all to the guests to offer any reassurance whatsoever. She did not ask us to assemble at any point or to say whether it was a drill or safe to return. As always the Ibis budget hotel offers value in the price. At all of the others that I have stayed at there is always evidence of service. Hospitality is a service driven industry, if you fail to give great customer service then those customers will not be back and will not recommend their friends to go back. We have stayed at some great Ibis hotels during our trip it is a shame that this was not one of them

Poor location and hard to find. Surrounding area is not good for food unless your tastes run to pizza or burgers. Booking breakfast is essential and the breakfast was decent value. The secure parking is very good. In the hotel itself, there were no lifts - this was not mentioned on the booking site and was a problem for my elderly mother. The hotel stank of smoke including our non-smoking room. The door locks were fiddly and hard to work and the hotel was noisy and not conducive to a good sleep. I have never encountered a hotel before where I had to make up my own bed (on both the outward and return journeys!) But beyond that was the poor attitude of the receptionist. She seemed never to have encountered the concept of customer service and managed to be unhelpful in two languages while at the same time conveying her intense dislike of her job. I would not stay here again, preferring to spend the extra money for better service.

Apart from a minor problem with the door keypad not working on my initial room (subsequently transferred to a different room) everythng was fine. Although close to the autoroute, the double-glazing was good enough to suppress the noise

Very good stay, we would certainly be happy to stay here again. Modern, clean hotel and good breakfast. Good location with restaurants nearby. Merci beaucoup......................................................
