The hotel is an Ibis budget hotel so it has non of the frills of its more upmarket brand, however, it's excellent value. It's clean, comfortable, everything works, the staff are excellent and friendly and helpful and speak English if your French isn't that hot. Bus routes just outside the door take you to all points in Lyon regularly, the hotel staff will help you although there is a chart inside telling you what's what. Excellent buffet breakfast so you can start the day full no matter what appetite you have. It's not gourmet but it's good, fresh, appetising and plenty of it. If you are on a budget then it's for you. Some little restaurants and bars locally for additional food and an Ibis next door too if you need food in the evening, from pizza to burgers to good bistro and Indian and Chinese etc, so you have a good choice.

Very low quality in this hotel. The location is good, in the middle of a lot public transport intenerars. One lift for 64 rooms. The breakfast was the best thing in this place. The reception guys help us to find the bus.

The employees were always ready to help. Its a good hotel for resting and sleeping. You got the basic stuff and nothing else. It is located near the Rhöne River, near the Tête D'Or Park, bus lines and small, good and cheap restaurants.

We spent our weekend while visiting our friends at Lyon. The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel is easy to find and can be reach by public transpor. From the train station, Lyon Part -Dieu, you can take either bus C1 or C2 and get down at Saint Clair - Square Brosset.

Maybe it was Euro in Lyon during our period of travel, we choose this hotel according to our budget this time. However, a bit surprise it was quite an "old" room but it was clean. The air condiontioning was out of order & we found out only before going to bed, it was not possible to open the window due to the noise & I've my 6 year old son with us. The night was not pleasant for us at all. The next morning, when I told the lady in the reception, she changed the room for us & even manage to find another room on the same floor, we appreciate avoid the trouble to another floor. Personally, I think the room has not been renovated for more than 5 year. The white painting was getting grey. The wood of the bed head or the wall was "opened" like 10 cm length. This is not what I was expected. Another remark was on the side walk of the hotel, for the first night, my husband drive the car down to the parking & we walked to the hotel with the luggages. There was a huge hole 3 m from the entrance. My son was happy to play with it but not me.

Good location, basic standard, good value for price. Good place to stay for a night while travelling. Lady at the reception desk refused to call to the other Ibis hotel to confirm booking: very strange behaviour.

Ideally situated opposite a trolley bus stop (C1, C2 or C5; stop St Claire). Our room was fairly quiet (we asked for une chambre calme when checking in ). The rooms are basic, but have everything necessary. The value for money was excellent. Our 'ne derange pas' sign was ignored and our room was cleaned anyway. The breakfast was also good value, at 6.15 Euro. It includes good coffee, pastries and cereal, plus yogurt and fruit.

Very basic but clean. Not altogether a budget hotel after having the pay extra for car parking and breakfast (which was very basic but adequate). A little hard to find especially as it is on a very busy roundabout and parking is round the corner

Staff wasn't well versed with the English language so had a hard time communicating; Personal kits were not replenished despite my 6-day stay. Didn't have universal adapters, and phones in rooms. I had to go down to the reception desk everytime I needed something; and I had an 8th floor room!!

I have stayed in many Ibis hotels. My problem is that though I love Ibis and I am loyal customer, experiencing Ibis Caluire and then experiencing Ibis Geneva or Ibis Milan aeroport etc, puts me in a difficult and confusing position of how to frame Ibis brand in my mind. There is a quality and aisthetic difference of at least 50% when you compare such different Ibis hotels. Location is good at Caluire, but the only thing that reminds that this is an Ibis are the colours and the matrice. The rest is adding to my confusion as they are inferior to what I value as a good Ibis hotel in my mind. Price and location good-Ibis standards bad. If you do not want to spend much and still be in town, lower a bit your expectations and book Caluire.

Located 10 minutes by bus from the city centre and a 10 mn walk from the Parc de la tete d'or and zoo this budget hotel is perfect for a short stay. Basic facilities as in all Ibis budget hotels but very decent continental breakfast and absolutely fine if you intend to be out and about visiting most of the day. Lyon is a fantastic city with lots to see and do and more restaurants than one could cope with in a life time!
