Oh dear, we had a terrible experience at the hotel. We completed the Accor survey with our problems and all we get is another opportunity to complete a survey instead of a response apologising for the problems we had. So I guess they want us to say what went wrong to a wide audience... We arrived VERY late, 1am, and all we wanted was our bed. Our reservation code did not open the car park gate. I had to go inside and pay and get another code for the car park gate, and room door. This code still did not open the gate, but it did make the yellow warning light on the gate flash a few times. Meanwhile a group that wanted to leave teh hotel car park could not get their car out either! After half an hour we gave up, left our car outside in the road, and carried our bags through the side gate and up to our room. The room was very basic but fine for an overnight sleep. In the morning, the most I got from the 'reception / caretaker?' was just, "something must have gone wrong". Not really what I was after. Given how basic the hotel is and that you have to do everything yourself, 46 euros was rather expensive. We only paid £50-55 for hotels near the centres of Florence and Rome which were considerably better AND had 24hr staff on reception. I wouldn't use this type of hotel again, it's not worth teh risk that it doesn't work properly again.
