Have used this hotel many many times, as it is half way through France, & 2 mins. from the Peage. Until last year (2016), there was also an excellent "truckers" restaurant across the road, serving very good budget food. That closed last year, so the alternative is now eating at Novotel, just a 6 min, walk away. On the same site as Ibis, WAS an F1 Budget hotel until this year (2017) when it appears to be a hostel for ???? Don't know, but when we arrived, there were lots of people hanging/chilling out, with tables, chairs, a BBQ & small children on bikes etc. No F1 sign on the roof, so presumably it has been sold to the local council or whoever, to be used as "temporary" housing, but it was not a pretty sight. It would make us think twice about staying at Ibis there in the future, although the plus of its proximity to the autoroute make it so handy. Will be staying there on our way back north, so will maybe find out more about what is going on.

The room was small, the quick wash sink didn't even have a privacy panel at the side. The toilet was a Formula 1 type and the shower was so tiny and so near to the toilet that the floor was wet through when the shower was used. I have stayed in other Ibis Budget hotels and they are fine with lovely shower cubicles with doors etc.but this one is not even as good as the Formula 1 across the road. The price was dearer than a formula 1 but the quality was not as good.

we used this as a budget overnight stop hotel for breaking journey and getting rest and found it did that exactly, rooms are adequate and comfortable car parking very secure behind electronic gates so would recommend as somewhere to refresh

This hotel as good as usual only problems were my memory I had booked the following night so had to pay the difference, and the BP. Truckstop accross the road had closed down. We ate at the Campanile Hotel which was very poor.

A late night pull in after a long day and refreshing sleep for another long day ahead returning to Stamford. Very convenient to the auto route and easily found, Clean, comfortable room, good reception facilities and a pleasant early breakfast. For those hitting the motorway, there is a cheap self service garage opposite the hotel exit.

Good welcome, clean room, and all you need for a night's stay. Breakfast ample and nutritious. Only very slight gripe is that there is no proper lavatory seat but as the lavatorybowl is very clean I suppose it doesn't really matter.

This was the rudest most unwelcoming reception we have ever encountered at any hotel; instead of hello can I help you or even a hello, the lady on reception demanded to know if we had a booking. We informed her we had and it took 2 attempts to be located even though she interrupted her search to turn other potential guests away. Breakfast was a disaster : we queued for 20 mins and then we had to ask for food as it was not being replenished ,next there were not enough seats & tables. We usually enjoy staying and Ibis hotels and have membership but as is the second time we have had breakfast issues at this hotel we have decided not to stay here again.

The evening reception chap wasn't as helpful as he could have been but he was an angel in comparison to the lady in the morning. She was offhand, almost dismissive and bordering on rude. I think she forgot that she got paid to do the job. The hotel was clean, comfortable but for an Ibis the room was cramped. The tv was very limited channel wise and the wifi just about adequate. It is surrounded by other hotels all charging about the same price and probably no worse. I would certainly consider trying one of the others if near Macon again. I will not stay in an Ibis budget again I'd rather stay in an F1 for all the difference there is.

As a budget hotel it was very clean and comfortable and suitable for three adults. The breakfast was a good continental one with plenty of choice. Although right on the main pay motorway it was quiet with little traffic noise.

Adjacent to entry to/exit from the autoroute A6. Despite this, we heard nothing of the traffic, the room was so well soundproofed (it overlooked the toll booths). Very clean and tidy. Dinner available from Novotel, just a ahort walk, or, across the road by the very small petrol station. Shower/w.c. a little dated. Almost everything gets wet. Best to leave slippers and clothes outside in the room. There was almost no interaction with staff or reception. We arrived on a Sunday, before 4pm, and there was no staff, only automated room allocation (we had pre-booked). Would recommend.

Clean and fresh Ibis Budget - looked new or refurbished. 2 things- first the hotel was boiling hot - inexplicably- and the air con in the room didn't work but an open window did the trick! Very good value breakfast but very small breakfast area - don't eat at rush hour! A lot for 1 member of staff to cope with and she was a bit frustrated! Would return and recommend!

my only disappointment was I did not take my Le Club card as our stay was unplanned. Toilet was in in the same room as the shower and that is not that practical and not normal as with other french hotels including Accor hotels. Thanks Les Wislon

The room was filthy and the matrass was bad. The bed made a lot of noise. The service was average. Why should I use 200 characters to tell this. There is nothing more to say. The room was not cleaned well.

Convenient stop on the way to and back from the south of France. Just off the motorway and then straight back on in the morning. Basic and clean. Breakfast reasonably priced with a good selection to choose from.

We use Macon nord as a stopover on the way to Spain. The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff were efficient and helpful, especially as we spoke very limited french. We will be using the same hotel on our reverse journey

very good value for money as a stopover spot for a long journey. close to Macon which is an excellent town with plentiful cafe's and bars and an excellent front along the river. there is also a good restaurant opposite the hotel and a very cheap petrol station. plentiful car parking
