We were staying in Ibis Rostock for 2 days. The hotel is very well situated at the bog road through the harbour. But you don't hear any noise! The airco is very nice. And you can choose any direction: city centre, Warnemünde: all are easy to reach.
Secure parking (paying) nice little bar but only snacks but just across the road on the side of the harbour are two GOOD restaurants Italian & Greek. A little out of town but the nice little port is a short drive away or a day at a lovely beach 30 min, It's good for a stop over when touring the east coast between Lubeck & Rugen all in all not to expensive Clean rooms if a little small recommend to all middle economy travelers the entrance could do with a clean (Windows) puts you off on arrival and gives the wrong impression of an otherwise reasonable hotel it is well up to its 3* rating. Friendly staff you will not be disappointed for your overnight stay Rostock you can see in a two night stay, giving you one full day to tour the area.
Comfortable small room with canal glimpses. Situated across the road from the canal promenade and shipping museum. Hotel Staff were welcoming and friendly. Bike was stored in secure underground garage. Breakfast spread was adequate with a good variety.
Although a 15 minute walk from the centre I always stay here as the service and value for money are excellent and the hotel is easy to get to by car. Parking is available and this makes the experience very easy and comfortable. Staff are courteous and efficient and food is excellent
Pet-friendly, convenient parking and good location close to Jenks, a restaurant that we like. Breakfasts are a good way to make a sandwich for the drive that lies ahead. And, of course, WiFi! We sometimes arrive on a late ferry but the check-in process is simple, only a signature, since everything else on the form is already completed.
Large room with good lighting, large table for report making and near river side for good sightseeing and relax after work. good breakfast for everyday start. I will recommend my colleagues to stay same hotel if they travel to Rostock.
I stayed in IBIS Rostock 2 nights for a short getaway at the sea side. I liked its central location near the Kröpeliner Tor Vorstadt which is a Students Quarter and also the city centre was with 20 min in walkable distance. I had a room with a view to the river bank but also to a big street. The windows could cober the noise. Typical IBIS style. simple but friendly design and good sized rooms and a good breakfast buffet. The only problem was in my room the bed was made not very accurate and there were towels but the second got resolved after a call at the reception.
Good hotel at a low price. Everything worked perfectly. Good service. Nice and efficient staff. Comfortable room with a reasonable size. 1.000 meters to city center, shopping, restaurants and bakeries. 500 meters to supermarket - Netto. (800 meters to Lidl) Rostock is very pleasant, especially at Christmas.
We were surprised with room size in this hotel which was big enough, unlike in most of the other Ibis hotels in Germany. Location is good, about 15 minutes walk from the city centre and a few minutes from the embankment. It was difficult to find free parking, otherwise our stay was just great.
My wife and I have stayed at the Rostock Ibis twice before and once again we were more than satisfied with the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation clean and comfortable. I hope that we can find a room here next year during the week of Hansa Sail.
By the time we negotiated the snow drifts in Denmark and a bumpy ferry ride, we were glad that we had reserved a room with Ibis in Rostock, guaranteed for late arrival. We were warmly greeted by the reception staff and the details of our dog and a WiFi password were quickly taken care of. Room was clean, warm and comfy. Breakfast buffet the next day had everything we wanted, including makings for a sandwich to take with. Bottom line- great place to stay in Rostock, available on-street parking and convenient to both ferry and highway network while in a quiet neighborhood.
