Hello, menagment! First of all rude stuff in reception in restaurant in bar. I was waiting for 20!! Min for check in, while the front desk informing guests from France how to find restaurant. Second desk was empty! Me as a platinum member was unpressed. When I ask about completely breakfast, front desk manager said -yes. But in the end I was invoiced breakfast!!! Rooms are old and dirty. Towels with holes!! So fully not recommend! Double Tree by the coner is cheaper and absolutely better.
Nice personal speaking very good English. Adequate room, enough to sleep, Simple breakfast, but you will not remain hungry reasonable price Location is not far from metro I recommend it. for short stay
I always have a nice time in Ibis Saldanha,. The staff is friendly and the room always clean and organized. It is located in a very convenient neighborhood adn close to everything. It is also near the subway and buses.
we stayed at this hotel last year so re-booking was an easy option. The staff are lovely and the hotel is well placed for exploring the capital of Portugal. Excellent breakfast and plenty of it. Comfortable rooms and well decorated, immaculately clean.
Ibis can be counted on for clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice showers with hot water at a budget price. Good breakfast, excellent bar, great hairdryers, and WiFi is a treat to this budget traveler. Suggested improvements would be luggage storage and knowledgable staff on the front desk.
good hotel alltogether, street is quite noisy though and the room was quite hot even though it was cold outside. Quite difficult to overhear whats going on nextdoor. Bed is good, ibis standard. Breakfast is very good value for money. staff was very friendly.
I found the assistant manager to be extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked for my (small) case to be stored for the day after I checked out and before my flight, and he said there was no room and that it would be a security risk to the hotel. I've never experienced such a policy either at this IBIS or in any other hotel. He was clearly in a bad mood and taking it out on clients (and colleagues).
Very good value for money! It is simple but effective to support your trip, putting available a confortable enviorement and a lovely staff. Internet works just fine and a nice bed to give you what you expect to rest.
It was not out first time at this hotel. The friendliness of staff is remarkable but the hotel itself needs a full renovation: rooms, especially bathrooms including. Breakfast is good and the neighbourhood is exciting.
I have been on this hotel several times and I m always satisfied. The hotel is nice, close to my office and there are lot of restaurants around. Moreover, breakfast is really tasty, with everything we need.
This hotel offers very good service and accommodation at a very favorable rate. The staff is young and, perhaps, inexperienced but they try very hard and almost invariably meet the requests of their guests. The rooms - at least ours - are very small and a bit spartan. In exchange for lower rates expect to receive fewer of the amenities. Often, of course, amenities provide by more up-scale facilities are largely "for show" and not especially needed. Though small, the rooms were immaculate and the maid service deserves special praise (and I healthy tip)! The location within a block of one of Lisbon's delightful "squares" means there is good shopping and excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk. And the variety of cuisines - Indian to traditional Portuguese - make dining nearby easy and varied. We walked from the hotel to the center city but we enjoy walking and are in rather good shape, it is a matter of sixteen to twenty blocks and not for everyone. for those not so inclined, it is a short, inexpensive, taxi-ride to all the delights of the heart of Lisbon from the Castle of St. George to Alfama to the many shops and restaurants. One thing I advise visitors: skip the expense of breakfast! It is over-priced and poor in quality. However, though hardly haute cuisine, it is nice to have snacks and some more substantial dishes available at the bar 24-hours a day. The food is palatable, not pretentious, but rather expensive. In sum, this is a good place for those wishing to see-Lisbon-on-a-budget!
I always stay in this hotel when I am in Lisbon. It is a short ride from the airport. It is close to downtown and there is plenty of public transport nearby. The breakfast is nice. The staff is professional and friendly. 2 suggestions to management - 1- create a parking spot for the people that want to drop the luggage and go; same parking spot can be used for pick-up and drop people. 2- Get a flat surface toaster at breakfast to allow customers to have a toasted sandwich for breakfast,( I saw this at the Ibis Hotel in Sintra, and it was very well enjoyed).
Arrived early to warm welcome, bags stored until room ready. Due to in house 24/7 menu met with daughter to eat. The staff member serving bar / meal area had absolutely no interest in trying to understand 'foreigners' or to make herself understood. This resulted in the soup and dish of the day boards being ripped from the wall (Velcro) and thrown across the counter. The promise of attractively photographed dishes from the extensive menu 24/7 should also carry a warning, they cannot be prepared in a kitchen area probably too small for a caravan. After numerous microwave pings the prawn carbonara arrived within seconds. Spaghetti in chopped up pieces covered in oily residue and what prawns there were had exploded from overcooking into the oil. Just about take issue when the other dish ordered, chicken skewers and rice, appeared. The skewers were perfectly squared from being crammed together before freezing. The pieces of pepper etc between the chicken were limp and falling to bits, unlike the chicken that resisted any attempt to prise the pieces apart. The rice was still in a clump as it had left the fridge, not even fluffed up after microwaving. Getting no response from the girl who took the order spoke to a receptionist I knew could speak English, explaining that my daughter refused to try to eat the carbonara. I considered the chicken totally unappetising, and I was not prepared to pay €11 and €12 for badly microwaved food. For some reason this person for some reason offered to make us TOAST !?!? I paid for the drinks we had and again expressed my disgust at the food quality and particularly the attitude of the bar / restaurant staff. The rest of my stay went totally without incident, helpful staff on several matters, especially finding a local pharmacist on a Sunday, excellent breakfast choice and service, together with spotless room, regularly serviced when indicated. Check without hitch, paperwork ready and taxi booked. Unfortunately the friendliness and efficiency of the majority of the staff overshadowed by the earlier incident.
Good location, clean, quiet and comfortable room. Good breakfast and dinner and smart staff. We have felt as our home. Good internet access. The staff provided us of all that we needed and the price was honest.
As I already mentioned in my previous review, the hotel is well located, clean, and has friendly personnel team, the only thing that I think that must be improved is the lunch and dinner menu that , in my opinion is poor.
Hotel location is tourist friendly - close to Tourists destinations. Also located near to a Shopping mall, convenient stores, cafes and restaurants. 5-8mins walk from Metro station. Staffs are friendly and clean quiet room. NEG: Unmanned Bar or coincidence? 3 separate occasions, Have to wait to be served from available staff from the Restaurant.
Ibis Saldana was ideally situated for the centre of Lisbon, the main railway stn Oriente and the airport. The Metro which we used all the time was very close. Also close by were 2 good and inexpensive restaurants. The hotel was very clean and provided a good continental breakfast. Sadly after leaving the hotel and continuing to sightsee I had my purse stolen from my handbag with my money and cards inside. A sad end to what had been a lovely. 3 days in a great city.
The hotel is near the metro and a few shops and restaurants. Breakfast times are convenient whether you get up early or late (it ends at 12 noon). Friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast room.
Very good Ibis in great location..staff very friendly and professional regarding requests...one of my top Accor stays...thank you! Very handy to metro station and if you like walking the Old Town is a pleasant 30 minute walk.....but uphill on the return...Just do it!
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is located near to good restaurants and to a big magazine store, El Corte Ingles. A metro station is also very close. The staff was very kind.
