The room and hotel layout is typically Ibis; what was missing was not typical Ibis location as it was just that much away from where all the action lies and the breakfast did not have a local flavour.
We picked this hotel as in was of similar design to the one we enjoyed in Fez. I loved the very clean swimming pool (had a dip in it every day of my week's stay). It is in the Moroccan part of Agadir - away from the tourist section. The Souk was just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The commercial shops and mosques were about 10 minutes. The beach was about 25 minutes walk. The rooms are tired looking and could do with a revamp. However our room was clean and the bed was lovely and big and comfortable. We asked for and got a room overlooking the swimming pool which was good. The bar man and manager were friendly and helpful and made our stay a very good one.
In room I saw ant and was smell like sbd has been smoking still there Ac didn't wark good and the room was small. But was acceptable, staff where friendly and helpful. Location was perfect and breakfast was ok.
I like to use the Ibis brand because it is fairly dependable and consistent. The staff were all quite nice and helpful, but this property was a bit run down, especially in the rooms. It could really use some upgrades or at least some repairs. Also, I've stayed here before and the mosque behind the property seems to use it's minaret speaker for more than the regular call to prayer. It's quite loud and sounds directly into the rooms facing the pool.
It used to be a modern hotel but the rooms would require some redecoration at the moment. But it is clean, staff is nice and it is for reasonable price.................................................
A small hotel with a very nice atmosphare located outside the tourist area a stone through from the souk. Friendly staff and a realy nice little garden with a small swimmingpool. Basic standard rooms clean and in good order.
I stayed at Ibis Agadir for 2 nights, the bathroom was in an apalling condition, dirty! The room had a terrible smell due to damp walls. As well as this the reception staff were very rude and arrogant, especially the reception manager. There was a permanent noise from the elevator (which I suppose has not been serviced in a long while) and I could barely sleep. Breakfast was almost none existing with baguette and some plastic wrapped fruit and vegetables. I would not recommend this property as it has not the basic level Ibis provides!
terrible to sleep, as there is a cock in the neighborhood starting to become active at 4am! Untenable. service in the restaurant is nice, in the bar however, if you sit, you will not have the waiter walk by and ask you if you want something, i had to stand up and go to the bar everytime i wanted something service at the reception is nice
Same Ibis as in Europe, but very old. Need urgent renovation The smell of wet towels everywhere. Poor breakfast. 25-30 minutes walking from the beach. 2 steps from the big marketplace - Souk value corresponds to quality
