Situated on the outskirts of the centre the hotel offers good accom with breakfast facilities and a bar.The staff are friendly and helpful. There is easy access to the city centre either walking or by public transport
It was pretty easy to navigate thru this train station, Gare de l'Est. A lot of small shops and bistros. But at night it can be a little challenging. There were 6 of us, so ... We Googled a maroccan restaurant and it was a Michelin mentioned eatery 👍🏼🙏🏼👍🏼🙏🏼
Nice friendly staff the usual Ibis cleanliness good brekkie. On line check in and check out worked very well. Lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.Close to lots of public transport links.
The reception was great, and I had the lovely surprise of 2 staff speak Portuguese. The room doesn't have a safe box, and it's too bright at night, it needs blackout curtains. The room was badly hoovered, and there was hair at the shower box, housekeeping was totally disappointing.
In room A/C did not work, changed rooms, no improvement. Super small rooms, uncomfortable bed, no guest amenities(except all in one body shower shampoo, 2 towels) , feels like staying at a youth hostel. Horrible smelling lobby and urinal smelling curb side.
We actually booked into an Ibis that was right across, the street from the one we ended up in. .No receptionist when got the. Waited 5 minutes for some one, Moved us across the street and put us in a Handicap room that was very small except for the Bath area. Bed up against the wall which meant that the person sleeping next to wall had to crawl over the other, We asked why we re put there we were were expecting the normal Ibis Quality room. no reason ever given. Didn't get what we paid for
My only real criticism is the room was too small. I had to side shuffle by the bottom of the bed to get to the bathroom as there was no room to move. Other than that no complaints, had a cute little balcony and electric shutters
The first time I was so dissatisfied with IBIS. Service was bad, they seems not really fond of kids. Even the staff at the breakfast room was not friendly. They don't check the amenities at the room. The soap-shampoo tube was empty for days and they wait for me to ask it. there are more complaints but I'm done. The only great thing about this hotel is its location. Very close to gare de l'est.
It is like a hub to travel to anywhere because it is close to subway and also train station for less 5min walking distances. There are a lot restaurants nearby as well. Carefour supermarket also around 5 min walking distances.
Coporate look and feel does not seem to cover the room odour. You opened the door and take a step back, as the stale smell hits you square on. Everything else was as per expecations for the location and cost, but wont be staying here again
The location, staff, service, and room were great for the price we paid. The staff were helpful, the room was clean, breakfast was varied and plentiful, and the area is nice, safe and very well connected. Radka (at breakfast) in particular was lovely and very helpful with advise about the area, getting to our destinations, generally very welcoming and friendly.
A perfect location in the north of Paris, less than 5 min away from Gare de l'Est metro and train station. Quite a safe area and ideal place to stay if you need access to the northern part such as Gare du Nord, Le Bourget or Villepinte exhibition areas as well as Charles de Gaulle airport. Day and night buses are also available nearby. The hotel is quiet, the rooms small and amenities inside limited but bedding is comfortable and reception friendly and helpful. Free internet access with computers at the disposal of the guests in the lobby area. Internet in the room is very slow though. Overall a very good, clean and friendly hotel ideally located for northern area of Paris and its suburbs.
It must have been my 3rd visit this time. I booked a double room for 2, but was given room 411. My bathroom is bigger than this double room. 2 people can't sleep in that. There is a window with blinds (without curtains) and if you want to sleep, you need to pull the blinds and sleep in the dark.
The hotel is located in close proximity to the station. Immediately upon exiting the station through exit 6 , when I looked out I saw the IBIS hotel marking on the top of the building with the arrow mark. The hotel was also accommodating in respect to storage of our luggage with them for free, when we had a to take a 2day trip to another city.
Firstly we visited our friends' room (502) which was really small, so when we saw ours (303) i was quite happy because both the room space & the bathroom space were comfortable... However had to carry the suitcases a few steps...The staff was polite (sorry can't remember the name of the receptionist who welcomed us)... The room was not cleaned properly (could see hair on the floor)... but overall OK. Disadvantage: 1 towel for body & face for each... Did not like the breakfast room, but we didn't have breakfast there... nice places around the corner...Right next to the metro entrance, so it was nice especially the evening when returning tired. Also, many buses to major attractions pass by. A bit expensive for what it offered. Ah! For the end had wi-fi in the rooms which was slow, but a good thing for planning the next day!
A good area for transport, good and affordable bistrots nearby. The hotel is very clean, the personnel is professional. I would come again for sure. I recommend this hotel for a short stay in Paris. :)
Lovely hotel & very convenient for the Metro - Gare de L'Est just round the corner. Looks like a good restaurant in the same road too - didn't try it, but was always full! Exit 4 on the Metro & easy access to get around Paris. Room was quite small, but quieter than near Gare du Nord from previous experience!
IBIS Gare de l'EST is a very conveniently located, cost effective hotel with a alert & qualified staff. It's undergoing a lobby renovation this month, all to very good effect for the future and the staff is handling the entry/ exit quite efficiently. It's a pleasure to work with the staff and they make an older well located facility into a cheerful home for a day or days in Paris!
The place is quite close to the east main station so easily accessible on arrival and to travel around Paris. The staff were very friendly and helped in case of any guidance required. In Our Case we arrived early to the check in time they had a locker facility where we could drop our bag and check in later the same happened on our check out. The rooms are clean and quite enough for a couple of night stay. The breakfast was really good we had a wide choice to select from along with some fresh fruits.
I had a couple issues during our recent stay at your ibis Paris Gare de l'Est 10th location. 1 our flight was delayed a day and i emailed the hotel to advise to hold our rooms as they were prepaid. There was no response or they did not did not know i had emailed them. My wife checked on Aug31 to Sep 2. they gave her the room i had booked but did not receive my reward points. i the middle of the night she was awoken to some one trying to get into the room. she tried to call the front desk but they did not answer, as she did not want to alert the perosn trying to get in the room she was alone. she advised the manager the next morning and they did not seem to care. she was horrified that this happened.
