Good location, right at the beach walk. Breakfast was good and included. Personnel very friendly, but somehow stressed /under- staffed? Rooms okay, but need upgrading and more careful attention. Cockroachers in the bathroom, entered through a cracked tile or crawling up from the drains.
This Ibis Hotel is very well located in Port Hedland and great for travellers to stay overnight with easy access to services. Staff were friendly and helpful and restaurant pretty good for a regional location.
We were warmly welcomed back and given a room with a view over the ocean and on the ground floor as we requested. Lunch, dinner and breakfast was good, but the restaurant appeared to be understaffed, especially at breakfast where there was only one person looking after guests dining and people in meeting rooms. Consequently food and drinks were not kept full and we couldn't get a coffee. They have a reasonable menu and wine list and although the hotel is old it is clean and well maintained.
A colourful local experience. I shared the room with three (apparently resident) bright green frogs. The service was excruciatingly slow in the restaurant. Everything - including soup - was a 30 to 40 minute wait. It does not improve in other aspects of the hotel. Reception is only intermittently staffed even at checkout time. When you do acquire help expect an equally slow computer to print out a receipt. Don't expect much of the room. Mine had a huge dent in the wall, the cups were neatly arranged with bent spoons but the cups were cracked and unwashed. The floor was so grimy that one step off the bath mat resulted in dirty soles and more showering to fix that. For two rooms for one night plus a very modest lukewarm dinner for two resulted in a bill of more than $500. Great location. Pity about the hotel. However choices are limited in Hedland so perhaps that is the problem.
This old venue is a favourite of ours. The friendly and efficient staff are fabulous. The rooms, while old are still clean and functional. Alrhough the fridges are almost useless. Good menu and a reasonable wine list. If you have a trailer you have to park in the public parking area.
Great friendly service, with the little touches like having the air conditioner turned on prior to your arrival (especially when the day in question was 39 degrees C with high humidity). A great base for business with a relaxing view out to the ocean to help you unwind when the days work is done. A pleasure to stay each time I come to town.
we enjoyed our stay at the ibis styles. the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. the breakfast was great, the dining room air conditioned and the view is terrific. the rooms are old, but clean and they had everything we needed including a table and a desk. so even though the rooms are old we have rated the property as very good
A terrific help when we left something behind, but unfortunately the prices in Port Hedland are 5 star for 3 star accommodation. It was comfortable enough, small room, pleasant view, but masking tape on the mossie net in the bathroom, only two towels when we booked 3 people.
i always enjoy my trips north and even more so when staying at the Ibis Styles the rooms are clean, the beer is cold and the food and service are terrific. well done and merry xmas to Jason and all his staff Greg
Staff was very friendly; new/clean lobby. The restaurant for breakfast was good; the bar for an evening drink was fine and the staff also friendly. Hotel rooms are dated and need an overhaul. The paint was peeling in places, a few stains and random pictures hangers without pictures on the walls. Parts of the floor had not been completed vacuumed; major dust bunnies and a few pieces of trash. Bathroom was old but clean. However, the mirror above sink was either stained or failing in places. I originally thought there were random designs etched in the mirror but that wasn't the case. The bed was comfortable and appeared to be clean. Although it wasn't the hotel's fault, about 2 am, a drunk/drugged person caused a major disturbance outside in the parking lot where the police were called. Regardless, the poor condition of the room created an uneasy feeling and I really didn't get comfortable.
We had car trouble and needed to stay longer. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We really appreciated the friendly helpful service during a stressful time. We would highly recommend staying here.
as always a very enjoyable stay at the Ibis staff are always friendly and rooms a clean the menu in the diner is only modest however the food is very very good the pork was melt in your mouth look forward to my next stay Greg
My boss was late to check in to the hotel as he got caught up in a meeting and was unable to get through to the operator as the lines are closed after 8.30pm. This is the only hotel I have heard of that does not have a late night check in service or someone on concierge to let people in. My boss had to check in to another hotel and Ibis would not return any money, even the breakfast that was charged for the next day. Whilst trying to phone them myself to sort this out the following week, it took me several attempts for anyone to answer. Awful customer service and then when I managed to get hold of someone, who called both me and my boss a liar when we said we weren't able to get through on the phone and he was very rude. We make multiple trips to Port Hedland for work every month and due to this, will never be booking through Ibis again!
great views from room my room could have done with a make over but was very clean staff very helpful good location dinner was good breakfast was good check out was painless will be returning to this hotel next time i'm in hedland.
Room 24: Big water stains on the ceiling, paint in bathroom hanging off the wall, dirt everywhere (floor, windows, wardrobe,balcony). Worst room in years! Reception staff obviously unaware of situation in this room...
Had to organise a meeting at the last minute for 20 people. The Hotel personnel went out of their way on a Sunday, with one days notice, to set up a meeting room and assist with the organisation of the meeting.
Very tired property. Unfortunately, from the ironing board up, there is nothing good to say. Apparently I was staying in a renovated room? Really? Maybe renovated in 1980. Chalk and cheese when compared with Ibis Styles Kalgoorlie
We have been staying here for 4 years and in the last year or so all aspects of the hotel have improved, especially the customer service and housekeeping. Very friendly and helpful front office and restaurant staff.
Great stay, nice room, freindly staff would stay again Meals were nice bar was great well stocked for what we required would and have recommended to friends and family to stay there in the future well done port hedland
Room was clean and tidy very small. Breakfast was included in the price. Not exactly a holiday destination but hotel is in one of the best locations in Port Hedland staff were friendly which is always nice when you stay some where.
