We selected to stay at this property because it offered breakfast and a restaurant. In what we learn is now the low season, we paid £100 per night for a double room. When we checked in, the manager apologised and said that there was only a continental breakfast available and that the restaurant was not offering meal service as there was no chef. 1. We learned that there has not been a chef for four months so we should have been told in advance and given an option to cancel and go elsewhere. 2. On a public holiday (ANZAC Day), no staff were present just the manager so the continental breakfast didnt even include any fruit. The manager did everything he could to help us during out stay including transport to a restaurant and to the airport and upgrading us to a larger room. It is not the managers fault - this is an issue for the Company to address - apparently the chef was sent to another hotel after Christmas. Our advice to travellers intending to stay is to ask some questions as what is advertised and what is on offer and different.
The Ibis Styles Kununurra is a comfortable hotel conveniently located. There is a nice pool to cool down in and the staff are helpful. The hotel also offers a free airport transfer. Within walking distance to centre of town and shops.
Right from receiving a confirmation call from El before our arrival, I was impressed. Airport complimentary transfer was great, arrival greeting was great. Assistance for travellers, service by staff and room by the pool far exceeded out expectations. Nothing was a problem for the team working there.......manager Chris, reception El as well as Kobi and Steve plus the kitchen staff.
Our room was spacious, staff bent over backwards to help in any way. The best experience since leaving Busselton.restaurant was inviting and food was good. Menu selection was excellent . Also staff gave us a brief of what we should see and do in kununarra.
Building and rooms are old and outdated but quality of service and condition of rooms inside was better than expected from outside appearance. Restaurant meal was also good and again better than expected. Overall we were happy with choosing the Ibis Styles in Kununurra.
We stayed at this facility twice, 5 days on our way to Broome and one day on our way to Katherine. Very nice facility, we very much enjoyed our room upgrade. Reception was most helpful and friendly. The Bistro offers excellent food and quick friendly service. The facility is fully gated which gives peace of mind. The grounds are nice and tropical, excellent to enjoy a drink and relax. We go there again.
We were upgraded to a suite which was very good. For an Ibis Styles it was quite surprising. Apart from the bathroom the rest of the suite was very well presented. They are progressively refurbishing their rooms and the only thing they haven't done is the expensive part of retiling the bathroom (regardless of this the bathroom is still better than some similar class hotels. There was plenty of storage space and the suite was quite comfortable. It was surprising to see the amount of coffee that was provided (much better than most hotels regardless of class). The front office staff were very friendly and helpful.
The team at Ibis are efficient, friendly and really clued into service for the customer. They think of all the little touches that make a real difference if you are a regular traveller like myself. Although the hotel is getting older, the rooms are spotless and the sparkling service means that it is great value.
The room was acceptable for a regional hotel but is seriously in need of refurbishment. The dining room has been refurbished, looks great, good ambience and the food was superb. Staff were lovely and looked after us well.
We spent 3 nights at the Ibis hotel in Kununurra. Clean, friendly, good breakfast included in price. Exceptional service, free pick-up from airport. Highly recommended - very good value for money!!!!!
Needed to have a overnight stay in Kununurra, chose Ibis due to location and price. Customer service when booking in was very good, room was spacious, cleaned, quiet with car parking out front. Good value.
View from outside was very deceiving. It looked as though it may not be up to standard. On the inside it was everything that we required. Good quiet rooms in a secure environment. Restaurant was excellent. Would recommend it to anyone.
Kununurra is a small place and the hot; has a fence running around it to keep petty thieves away in the night.. Initially I felt quite unsafe but just had to chill. The staff are kind and attentive. The rooms are 1960's and I suppose may soon benefit from some upgrade. There are better places to stay but the cost doubles.hay for a few days!
Staff friendly and courteous. Room clean and comfortable. Excellent food and service at restaurant. Butter chicken curry was delicious. My husband and I shared this. Impressed brought out in 2 seperate bowls.
We stayed here 4 nights en route Brisbane to Broome and then another 2 nights on return journey. We had very comfortable and spacious room in the centre of the complex close to the pool, so very quiet. Staff all very helpful and accomodating. We stayed at several Ibis Styles (formerly All Seasons) on this trip and some are in need of a renovation - this is one of the better ones
Pleasant stay, nice and quite. I found the staff were very helpful. The hotel is located about five minutes pleasant walk from the town centre. The rooms however are looking dated, time for a full update.
We were made to feel genuine welcome. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The hotel manager Shaun was extremely helpful and we have far better service than we experienced in some very well know hotel in Europe.
Our room had a musty smell. We had a luke warm shower the first night and a cold shower the next morning. The girl at the front desk was must apologetic. We ate at the restaurant the first night but unfortunately the food was not the best. Tables were not cleared and we found the same to be at breakfast
The hotel has a free shuttle from the airport, welcoming staff and is a short walk to town or to a picturesque lagoon which is home to a myriad of birds. The pastries for breakfast were excellent one day and burnt the next. At dinner the barramundi was very good. The pool was set in a lush garden but was closed. The rooms were very ordinary and ours had no view but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool is set in a lush tropical garden but was still closed, a disappointment for guests.
This was a business trip at short notice during a high season period. I found the rate very economical & service was great. Food was good & staff were friendly. I found the airport shuttle very convenient. Rooms were adequate, size-able & bed up to 'Ibis' standard.
