Never changes at Gatwick, save the recent paint job in the rooms. Friendly staff and everything predictable. My umpteenth stay and always satisfied although I rue the lack of wake-up calls especially since I was there during the end of summer time and the so called smart phone in the room wasn't responding

Convenient for London Gatwick and the hotel offers a useful park and fly package. Friendly, helpful staff but the hotel itself lacks atmosphere, the bar and restaurant area look tired and in need of some TLC. The restaurant menu is very limited and options weren’t very appealing. Room was very clean and relatively spacious. Situated on a busy, noisy road with inadequate double glazing meant that we didn’t get much sleep.

Usual Ibis standard, clean efficient, and everything you need for a one night stay before flying out of Gatwick. Rooms are small, but good value for the price you pay. Staff are friendly, and there is a restaurant and bar on site

Arrived to find I had to prepay the trip and then I couldn’t add extras into the room without a lot of fun use use Ibis’s frequently so not sure why. General customer service not up to usual standards

I stayed there for 1 night before an early morning flight. It is a clean and neat hotel, and was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and met all of our needs. I would definitely stay there again when necessary.

Everything about the Hotel was excellent except the location.I did'nt realise just how far I would have to travel from the Airport to the Hotel..Reception,Room,Breakfast were excellent.Great Value. If I stay again I would be prepared for the distance. All in all a very nice experience.Pat Morrissey,Dublin

Had a nice stay at the IBIS Gatwick, but the bus transfer is a bit hit and miss. It was fine when they done there own transfers, but now they changed to a multi pick up system with other hotels, and in my opinion is not punctual & unreliable.

We received a lovely welcome, speedy check in, great staff, a lovely meal and drink in the bar and a comfortable room. Shuttle bus available to airport just outside hotel, we purchased tickets for the bus at the check in process.

I enjoyed staying here - it was good value and staff were friendly. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Staff were helpful about updating me about the shuttle. It is about a 10 minute shuttle ride away from the airport. Thank you very much.

Ok, I know how the system and demand, so when I had to make a short-notice booking, I knew it would be more than the usual rate. I was not, however, prepared for the £150 bill for a single night. This was reduced, with discount, to £142.50. This was room only, breakfast being extra. Also, being a late booking, it was the last room in the hotel, so it was at the front, very noisy with the window open, which was the option, as the a/c didn't work, and it had two single beds. Did I sleep well? What do you think! My previous stay at the Ibis was good, so I was really disappointed this time.

I used the hotel the night before an early flight and it is a very cost effective and easy stay. The does the basic well and the bus to the airport only takes 15 mins although they only run every 40 mins at the moment.

Restaurant was awful. Menu choice was poor and food was lukewarm (at best). A change was made to transfer coach times, without telling anyone. Flight nearly missed as transport arrived almost an hour after time on card provided. Will definitely not stay here again. Shame. It's been good for years - up to now.

Second stay here and all just as good as before. This time I booked the two course meal and breakfast deal which was great value and the food was good! Room newly refurbished, clean and comfortable. Reception staff are friendly and efficient, organising our transfer to the airport and extra days parking. Will stay again, and recommend to anyone needing a night's stay and parking whilst on holiday.

Comfortable hotel if you're flying in/out of Gatwick airport, and service was quick and friendly. Shuttle bus service to the airport was 3 pounds and convenient; I wish they had this service from the airport as well.

The hotel served the purpose for what we needed . Rooms are on the small side and also very Hot... The Reception staff were very helpful.. Shuttle was easy and prompt.. Next time will probably fly from Southend and save the overnight stay and journey.

We overnighted to smooth out transiting from a Southampton cruise to an onward flight to Crete. Chose the hotel for its location and were very satisfied with proximity and ease to get to Terminal S. Small but elegant room and all we needed. The restaurant proved a real bonus as well.

Clean and comfortable room with a small but immaculate shower room. They have now stopped doing park and fly, instead offering a meet and greet service, but because we booked before it changed, we were able to park on-site. The young lady at reception was excellent, and booked us a very reasonably priced taxi to the airport. Our room was at the back and very quiet.

I have reviewed the Ibis at London Gatwick before and have been asked for another so I'll keep it short as not much has changed. Basically, a very nice, reasonably priced hotel to use if you are using Gatwick airport or travelling about the area, getting to London or the South Coast, a short drive to Gatwick, about 45 minutes from London and about 30 minutes from the South Coast. Crawley Town Centre is about a 15 minute walk away or a 5 minute drive. I use the hotel on business, every 4 weeks, I fly down from Edinburgh, I always get a cheerful welcome from friendly faces I recognise and my requests for an out of the way quieter room is almost always met as I get to be late and get up really early. The hotel is quite basic but has all you need for a short stay, bar, restaurant, two lifts to about 5 floors of rooms, all recently renovated. Car parking is available, £7 per day, the staff are lovely. Cleaning is on a daily basis. Large double bed with en-suite or a choice of twins or family room if you need it. The food is decent pub grub ordered over the bar and there is room service. Drinks are the usual close to London prices. If you want to venture out for a meal or shopping then the Town Centre is not far away or you could walk up the road and there's a local pub. All very good and given the price per room if booked ahead, well worth it.

I would give the hotel, rooms, service, and the meet & greet parking deal the highest marks. I have 2 reservations, however. Do not eat dinner here (didn't have breakfast, so can't comment)! We had one of the worst meals ever: poor quality, fried items cooked in overused oil, very poor value. We had a group of 16 and arranged taxis to the airport through the hotel. It was confirmed that the total cost would be £30-£32. We paid each taxi individually and the total was £43. One did not drop passengers at the terminal as requested, resulting in a long walk and delay. Whilst the hotel was not directly responsible for all of this, they should consider the quality and reliability of their recommended providers.

An overnight stay before departing for Madrid. All very seamless from beginning to end. Would highly recommend. Very handy for Gatwick airport. Happy with our accommodation. Staff very pleasant. Good choice.
