Second stay here and all just as good as before. This time I booked the two course meal and breakfast deal which was great value and the food was good! Room newly refurbished, clean and comfortable. Reception staff are friendly and efficient, organising our transfer to the airport and extra days parking. Will stay again, and recommend to anyone needing a night's stay and parking whilst on holiday.

Comfortable hotel if you're flying in/out of Gatwick airport, and service was quick and friendly. Shuttle bus service to the airport was 3 pounds and convenient; I wish they had this service from the airport as well.

The hotel served the purpose for what we needed . Rooms are on the small side and also very Hot... The Reception staff were very helpful.. Shuttle was easy and prompt.. Next time will probably fly from Southend and save the overnight stay and journey.

We overnighted to smooth out transiting from a Southampton cruise to an onward flight to Crete. Chose the hotel for its location and were very satisfied with proximity and ease to get to Terminal S. Small but elegant room and all we needed. The restaurant proved a real bonus as well.

Clean and comfortable room with a small but immaculate shower room. They have now stopped doing park and fly, instead offering a meet and greet service, but because we booked before it changed, we were able to park on-site. The young lady at reception was excellent, and booked us a very reasonably priced taxi to the airport. Our room was at the back and very quiet.

I have reviewed the Ibis at London Gatwick before and have been asked for another so I'll keep it short as not much has changed. Basically, a very nice, reasonably priced hotel to use if you are using Gatwick airport or travelling about the area, getting to London or the South Coast, a short drive to Gatwick, about 45 minutes from London and about 30 minutes from the South Coast. Crawley Town Centre is about a 15 minute walk away or a 5 minute drive. I use the hotel on business, every 4 weeks, I fly down from Edinburgh, I always get a cheerful welcome from friendly faces I recognise and my requests for an out of the way quieter room is almost always met as I get to be late and get up really early. The hotel is quite basic but has all you need for a short stay, bar, restaurant, two lifts to about 5 floors of rooms, all recently renovated. Car parking is available, £7 per day, the staff are lovely. Cleaning is on a daily basis. Large double bed with en-suite or a choice of twins or family room if you need it. The food is decent pub grub ordered over the bar and there is room service. Drinks are the usual close to London prices. If you want to venture out for a meal or shopping then the Town Centre is not far away or you could walk up the road and there's a local pub. All very good and given the price per room if booked ahead, well worth it.

I would give the hotel, rooms, service, and the meet & greet parking deal the highest marks. I have 2 reservations, however. Do not eat dinner here (didn't have breakfast, so can't comment)! We had one of the worst meals ever: poor quality, fried items cooked in overused oil, very poor value. We had a group of 16 and arranged taxis to the airport through the hotel. It was confirmed that the total cost would be £30-£32. We paid each taxi individually and the total was £43. One did not drop passengers at the terminal as requested, resulting in a long walk and delay. Whilst the hotel was not directly responsible for all of this, they should consider the quality and reliability of their recommended providers.

An overnight stay before departing for Madrid. All very seamless from beginning to end. Would highly recommend. Very handy for Gatwick airport. Happy with our accommodation. Staff very pleasant. Good choice.

When my wife and I fly from Gatwick we always stay there, the rooms and food are good and the service excellent. Even if we have an afternoon flight we drive up the day before and have dinner and a few drinks it makes a nice start to a holiday.

I have always found IBIS to be a good value for hotel accommodation. The Gatwick Airport IBIS has their standard rooms which are clean and functional. The only challenge with this location is the building does not have air conditioning. I don't mind a warm room but our room was exceptional hot all night... 25C+ (and this coming from a guy who grew up in Africa)! We checked with the desk who provided a desk fan (sadly too small). Ultimately we had a sleepless night and then had to get on our 10 hour flight home.

The room was fine apart from th telephone. This was impossible to use and ridiculous. First of all it wouldn't switch on. So we had to take it to reception who had to load it up. This took about 10minutes. Then there was no. Instruction leaflet so after 20 minutes trying to set an alarm call, we gave up and went to reception for help. Please get rid of these handy phones.

It's a really nice hotel, really clean; beds are comfy, staff are friendly, location is perfect, the price is spot on. Can't fault it except I wish there were air con. Getting ready in the morning is unbearable as you are literally melting no matter if it is cold or warm outside. So, for this reason, I probably won't be staying there again as no one wants to arrive at the airport all frizzy-haired and makeup sliding off their face because it was THAT hot getting ready, when really you want to arrive all fresh faced and ready to face the journey ahead!

I always enjoy a good night's sleep at the well soundproofed Gatwick Ibis. Beds are so comfortable and the Shower is very spacious, Nice to see decaffeinated coffee on the hospitality tray too. What more can I say.

Room seemed newly refurbished and clean. The free drinks coupon from membership status was not prepared in advance but reception staff were friendly and helpful. The management should be glad to know they have some really good staff. Good saving from the stay and park deal.

Overall enjoyed our stay, and the decor and facilities in the rooms and hotel communal are have had an excellent refresh since our previous stay a year earlier. However, our stay would have been improved by 1: the hotel having facilities to charge our electric car, as it was somewhat inconvenient to have to make other arrangements over the weekend. 2. If the intermittent unpleasant odour in the shower-room was properly resolved.

Did not like this hotel. It was reasonably priced. The room was very hot with no way of cooling down. We had very little sleep due to the heat. The staff were very nice and friendly though. The room had a strong odour to it.

Good clean and functional hotel with easy taxi, frequent public local bus number 100 (stops by and across road from hotel) or payable hotel shuttle bus access to/from Gatwick. Reasonable self service breakfast, a bar but no real lounge area. Comfortable upgraded rooms and helpful staff always,

Arrived from milan and booked night into this hotel - really great vLue and i would definitely be using the hotel again. We were off early next morning for crete so did not sample the breakfast but imagine it is up to the good quality the hotel gives!

I understand that the rooms have been recently refurbished and they are very nice and comfortable. The lobby is very busy and the bar are gets crowded but overall I have no complaints. The airport shuttle to/from the hotel was too infrequent and the waiting zone at the airport was barely sheltered.

The modernisation of the room was very well done, modern and stylish. Only short of excellent because there is still work in progress a the hotel although this did not in any way interfere with our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful as always.
