This hotel is very quiet with excellent staff who are all very helpful. The free swimming pool is small but okay for a quick dip. The dining area is very clean and offers a good menu for dining, breakfast is self service but plentiful and offers a good continental style breakfast with all the items being very fresh. The rooms are smaller than the more modern IBIS hotels they are very clean. It offers a secure car park which is free to guests.
A great reception, helpful smiley staff. Small hiccup with the rather overstretched bar/restaurant staff member on the second night, which has dropped my rating a little, but overall great as usual. Would like to have the facility of a triple room.
We toured France in 2014 and stayed in 7 different IBIS hotels. They are all remarkably similar, but the one at Balaruc les bains had the smallest room by far. Just 18 inches around the bed on all sides! Decoration is a bit tired but quite ok. All the IBIS hotels were clean and the beds extremely comfy. This one has a small pool which is too small for swimmers. We were here for 3 nights. I wouldn't want to stay longer as I'd want some more space!
Good hotel let down by room cleanliness. Room required re-cleaning to remove all dead flies from walls/windows. Excellent food and welcoming reception staff. Quiet area that is perfect for couples. Good indoor pool.
Always a pleasant comfortable stop for us en route to visit our family in Italy. Quiet, good with the dog and safe parking. Staff helpful and smiling. If you don't want to go out for meal simple but pleasant food available.
Good to see an Ibis with an indoor pool and we were very pleased with the high quality of the staff and their friendly help. However all was let down by the tiny room - hardly big enough to accommodate the bed. The shower room also suffered the same problem - hardly big enough to turn in. The room became very stuffy overnight even though the heating was not on. We asked reception if it was possible to turn on the aircon fan but were informed the aricon was also off because some guests complained the rooms became too cold. The only thing we could do was open the door leading to the tiny balcony but noise until 2am from guests on the front terrace below disturbed sleep. Breakfasts were OK but only average - we've had far better choice in France in chambres d'hotes. This hotel probably has pretensions but is not worth 3 stars.
spa facilities but book in advance no points unless 5 night stay secure parking but the lower car park is rough so get in early quiet location 20 min to sete and mez average breakfast but house keeping everything fresh and location is good a couple of nights or more ok if on a budjet
The staff obviously enjoy working at this hotel and provide excellent service. Ideally situated for a stroll along the promenade or a bus trip to Sete the only improvement would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We swam in the pool every day.
