The room is comfortable, pop and cute. The breakfast is good. The price is reasonable. Staffs are very kind. A personal mini bar with refrigerator in every room is helpful for guests. Accessibility is not good because it takes more than 15 minutes on foot from Aachen HBF station.
Really friendly and helpful staff. There are too few spaces in the garage for average sized cars (the height of our car is 1,60) - at least we weren't allowed to park there, but when we went down at night we saw there were many empty spaces where we could easily park our car.
We enjoyed our stay in this very friendly and very well designed hotel. The stuff was super helpful and very friendly, we are really grateful for all the help they provide. We were disappointed with the location. The area is not very pleasant at all, quite rough. The rooms are clean but because of the modern design there are no wardrobes...
Stayed many times at this hotel and the service is always great. Very clean and well maintained, very friendly staff and great buffet breakfast. The hotel is located in a quiet area but within walking distance to the centre. The site parking is good value and easy to access.
Perfect, fresh, innovative rooms, not super-de-luxe but just everything you need. Staff was nice, easy checking worked fine. Breakfast ok, and not to far from citycenter. Perfect for weihnachtsmarkt. Parking in duplexgarage is not favourable, but APAG párking eurogress is nearby. (12 euro per 24 hr)
The Hotel is located close to multiple bus route stops, making it easy to get from the train station and around town. If you prefer to walk, it is only 10 minutes from the City Center. Lots of restaurant options (take out/fast service) right next to the hotel. The rooms are nice and they serve an excellent breakfast. The staff is very friendly. Great choice if you plan to be out seeing the city and enjoying the sights.
This hotel is in a very convenient location for walking to the main tourist attractions in Aachen. The breakfast was excellent. Although hot drinks were provided at reception we would have liked the facility to make our own drinks in our room.
a lovely hotel very clean and welcoming, not too far from centre of Aachen a pleasant walk if you wish to walk lots of shops and food outlets hotel is situated in a very nice area. I must recommend the pub next door ..Ottos hexenhaus..very welcoming local pub very good prices, met a few other people from the hotel in there a good reason to visit ibis hotel
I came to Aachen to visit the historically significant Dom, Rathaus, and Charlemagne Centre. These did not disappoint, nor did the Ibis Styles Aachen City hotel. The hotel has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, due to both the staff and the decor. It starts with the welcoming reception staff and their complete willingness to provide information as requested. It continues with the modern design, creative lighting, and wonderful use of colour in the rooms, including the shower, curtains and carpet. The Breakfast Room was a busy, cheerful place, with items in the extensive buffet being replenished before anything ran out. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel, and eating at Pi Pa Sa nearby - recommended by the reception staff.
Very basic hotel with everything you expect from a basic hotel. Inefficient check in staff, a car park that is obviously a joke, tiny uncomfortable rooms and very poorly appointed -- don't expect to be able to have a coffee in your room! Breakfast was reasonable and the breakfast staff friendly. City hotels can and should be better than this. Ibis is trailing behind other budget chains by a long way now. At €83 it was hardly a budget price. Won't be back.
It is a pity that the information about the hotel fails to mention the requirement for an emission badge for any car entering the city centre. You cannot buy one on a Sunday. The staff did there best to help sort this problem but failed. We took a flyer without a permit.
we stayed at this hotel on our way back to Calais perfect stopover for 2 nights . the hotel is only 5 min walk to main shopping centre so was able to do some last minute shopping room was compact breakfast very tasty, staff excellent only downside was had to pay for parking 18 euros during our 4 week tour staying in 5 other ibis this was the only one we had to pay in .
We stayed one night at the Ibis Styles Aachen City, and found the hotel room and bathroom very modern, functional, and cheerful. All was very clean, and we got a walk-in shower as requested. The breakfast was adequate. Special mention and praise go to Isabelle and Sharmila who were in attendance when we arrived. I had the difficult task of driving our medium-sized car down to the car parking area. Isabelle very ably and kindly helped in indicating how many cm were left between our car, the wall on the left, and two cars parked in marked areas on the slope into the car park. I was sweating blood as I dreaded scraping the wall on the left, or one of the parked cars on the right, with our 6-week old car. I have never seen anything as mad as this, especially as there were plenty of spaces left in the parking area. Then I had to reverse onto a ramp, as otherwise, in case the ramp needed lifting, the back of our estate car would have been damaged. This took about 8 -10 manoeuvres, and I was glad when the whole business was done. I dreaded leaving the parking area the next morning, but the big car had left, and passing the remaining car was not quite so difficult. The hotel itself was very good, as expected, but the nerve-wracking car parking arrangements at the Ibis Styles would make me choose another hotel if we stayed at Aachen again.
Quick and professional check inn/out. Friendly staff and a clean, comfotable room. This hotel has great value for money, a good location and I love their breakfast. A tip, try the smoothie! Yummy. I'll be back!
Good stay , nice breakfast ,near to city centre ( 1 KM). Nice city center and Christmas market. Stayed for couple of nights. The hotel is about 1.5 KM from the main railway station and can be reached by walk.
POSITIVE Location close to the city center Nice breakfast and breakfast-room Nice modern rooms NEGATIVE Terrible street noise since you are situated on an important road and traffic axe and windows are clearly not sound-proof
Staff excellent. Great breakfast. Room acceptable for a short stay. Mattress great, but seating area minimal. Common areas of upper floors need updating. Location excellent if you wish to be close to old town.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was cozy and quiet (the bed was very comfortable). Small but excellent breakfast. Close to Aachen Eurogress, Carolus Therme and central and touristic part of Aachen.
Having stayed in Ibis hotels elsewhere and have had positive reviews this was not to be. Very noisy in the room, hearing people in the corridor and in other rooms. The whole place had a shabby feel to it .
We stayed for one night at the Ibis Styles in Aachen and everything was great! From the girl at the reception who was fast and efficient to a lovely stylish room to a very good buffet breakfast. A suggestion for the breakfast would be, some nuts and prunes and some small pastries for the diet conscious :) - Lovely stay close to the centre of Aachen.
The lobby sets the tone. Here, there is no need to choose between comfort and design. It's like being at the heart of a cloud, or the start of a dream. And in every one of the 102 rooms, The Bed sits on a big round carpet. Don't forget it's multi-purpose. Soft and very, very inviting. The eye is irresistibly drawn to The bed along with, its surroundings simple and light. The closets melt into the walls, globe lights float weightlessly in the air. From the floor to the ceiling, between shades of pure white and light grey, just one colour springs up. Pop orange, petrol blue or firecracker yellow : one colour per floor and a highly charged palette for a décor seen in a dream.
The designers of the ibis Styles Hotel Aachen City concentrated solely on dreaming. Nein to knickknacks ! Nein to extraneous furniture ! Here the bed is king and the designers said why not make it a table too ? And a desk, and a sofa, and a place to play games ? A whole universe around which the entire hotel decor orbits in light, dreamlike lines.
The clean lines soothe and the round forms reassure. The lighting softens and the colours delight. Here, life is a dream and from the lobby to the sunny terrace, the entire hotel seems to whisper, "Business travellers on a tight schedule, families big and small, welcome to you all. Relax. Let yourself go. Thaaat's it."
