This standard Ibis hotel is well located close to the main train station and transport hub, and near the entrance to the Old Town. Usual basic facilities, no kettle. Reception staff made an effort to provide the room I wanted (top floor, view); staff generally were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast room was bright and clean, food OK but bland, and bacon swimming in grease. Comfortable bed, traffic slightly audible, otherwise quiet.
The rooms are comfortable and the one I stayed had a good size. The breakfast is very good, so it worth including it in your room rate. The hotel is very well located, close to the train station and from there one can walk to the major important sites in the town. One can also take the subway (U-bahn) or the tram. The staff is very helpful. I would certainly stay there again, either for business or for pleasure.
Typical IBIS hotel with typical IBIS facilities. Room a little on the small side and the shower door could only be opened outwards to get out, meaning the bathroom floor became quite wet. Internet connection easy but the speed somewhat low in my room. However, good location and very friendly, helpful staff.
Very comfy beds and reliable free Wi-Fi, very helpful staff and rather central location. The room was a bit of a tight squeeze, the bathroom was super-tiny. No hand towels provided, the "bath" towels were also quite unsuitable as they were rather small. With the exception of the date of arrival, the cleaning staff left our duvets folded on the bed, so we had to make our own beds but this is not that unusual in German 2 and 3-star establishments.
Really great location - near the old town and almost directly opposite the main train station, with plenty of great transport links. Rooms slightly on the small side, but really comfy beds! Modern lobby, with a really handy 24 hour bar in reception.
This hotel is conveniently located close to the railway station. Its rooms are clean with modern fixtures & fittings, radiators and opening windows. The breakfast offering is excellent with a good sized seating area although queues still form at busy times. There is also a nice serve yourself bar on the ground floor. Cons. Only one computer for a very large hotel. The staff are also not particularly friendly; pre-checking in was pointless since we were re-questioned and all of our answers and accused of lying about our Accor status until we could prove otherwise.
An ecellent hotel at a very good location and value for money. Staff were polite and helpful. Rooms were good size and very clean. I mised the pub at the hotel but coffee machine and fridge with drinks are provided at the reception. Breakfast was delivious. Very much recommended.
Start from very good location, just one block from main train station, 10mins walk to famous Christmas Market. Reception staff is be welcoming , room size bigger than my expect , there will be great if more towel in bathroom and more hot food in breakfast!
We stayed here for a trip to the Christmas markets and the location was ideal as its so close to the markets and the train station, so we fit in a trip to Rotherburg as well which was beautiful but I'm pleased we didn't stay there for the duration as there was more to do in Nuremburg. The hotel room was small and pretty dated but did the job of a comfortable and clean room for a few nights where we spent most of the time out of the hotel. The beds were very comfy. No safe which was concerning but turned out to be not an issue. Breakfast was standard continental which was sufficient, with the addition of a waffle maker which was very nice!
Can’t complain about this hotel as it is what it is: a city centre establishment offering no frills accommodation. Plus points: clean, well-equipped bedrooms; convenient location; 24-hour reception. Minus point: some confusion at check-in as our party of four was informed that our reservation (made in May for a December stay) wasn’t secured as we hadn’t paid a deposit. Howeve, at no point during the reservation process were we asked for a deposit: we checked in online before our flight and even received a “welcome” text! Surely that as proof that we had booked? Nevertheless, there were rooms for us (thankfully) otherwise our trip could have turned out very differently. Accor Hotels need to clear up this glitch. Otherwise a good hotel.
Excellent Nuremberg location for Christmas markets and main train station. Rooms small but enough. Washroom may be tight for some people. But overall the value for location was great at a busy time of year.
Close to the Hauptbanhof and a few minutes walk to the centre and the markets. Usual standard of rooms for an IBIS (we use them every year in Germany). Neuremberg was by far the best market in Germany we visited this year.
I like this hotel because of the very good place, the best breakfast and clean rooms. Once we get very very small room but our second stay was good - the room was bigger. Rooms are clear, well furnished, the room on the top are quiet and more comfortable. The bed is not so comfortable - you can jump :) and you get also only one big duvet for two people. Pillows were OK.
I have stayed at this hotel around a dozen times now for my annual trip to Nuernberg. It was predictably good, but that is what i wanted. It continued to enable me to enjoy my visit, and I shall certainly stay again.
On the last morning I stayed I was unable to get any hot water from either the shower or taps, which was unpleasant when getting a shower in the morning. Also no plug sockets near the bed or a desk. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly and a couple of minutes away from the main train station so super convenient for travel
I’ve been 3 nights in this hotel. The location is perfect. A few steps from The train station and walking distance from main atractions. The room was clean, breakfast good and nice Staff. The only small thing was not having facial towels
Close to the train station but area a little run down. Typical Ibis hotel and room. Bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Wifi good. Staff welcoming and helpful. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Bit of a walk to the old town but certainly doable.
Welcoming, friendly and professional staff. Very clean room and communal areas. Well-located hotel for walking into the Old City as well as taking the tram to the former Nazi Rally Grounds (Reichsparteitagsgelande) and its Documentation Centre. I inadvertently left my phone lead in the room and was most impressed with the swift, reasonable and efficient way it was returned to me by post in the UK. Thank you Ibis Nuernberg Hauptbahnhof!
Close easy walking distance to the historic old town. Clean, tidy room with good soundproofing. The street outside the hotel is blocked off and dug up so it's hard to get to the car parking. After you've driven around in circles for a bit and sat nav fails to re-route you, pull up outside another hotel, go on foot, and get the staff to draw you a map.
All good..front desk helpful...but there was a short circuit or a power utage..and we were for ed to change rooms and everything had to be moved at 9pm in the night..no other complaints on location, cleanliness etc.
