!st time visit to Faro so decided to stay between the centre of Faro and the Airport, on arrival at the airport we were informed that there was a bus due shortly, and we could buy a ticket on the bus and the driver would tell us where to get off, the bus was very late and the driver the most miserable and unhelpful bus driver i have ever met, (I Hope the IBIS can feed this back to the bus company as it is not a good welcome to tourists) thankfully the Hotel was spotted on the journey by my wife and we figured where to get off, we were then Greeted by Ana Paula who was professional friendly, and caring, other members of staff worthy of mention during our stay were Antonio on reception and Pedro (Bar) . Our room was clean and comfortable well done housekeeping,. on a downside we were very disappointed with the Breakfast which was very limited, 2 meat 1 standard cheese, breads fruit ,yoghurt, juice , but not on par with other Ibis i Have stayed at, such a shame as the Hotel is such a nice place to stay with its 20 'm pool and sun terrace. We were pleased to find that there was an alternative to catching the bus into town from the very busy main road nearby a purpose built footpath alongside the railway through an area being developed in an area of natural beauty, attracting wildlife and flora, some parts close to the rail station are a little industrial, but it is all well lit at night for the walk back, it took us about 25/30 mins to reach the station then a further 5 mins to the marina and town
I really enjoy the stay in IBIS hotels. The stuff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are of the same, no corners where to loose stuff, very practical and comfortable with even some nice extras, e.g. carpet on the floor, the power cube to charge everything you need to, not to forget the wonderful bed which invites to stay just a night longer! Breakfast simply great.
The Ibis Faro is located about halfway between the airport and the city centre. It is probably better used as a base for exploring the region by car than for a visit to faro and environs. There is a nice walking track (30 minutes) to the city centre. Taxi to and from the airport around 10 Euros. Taxi from Faro central to hotel around 12 Euros. At least one decent restaurant in easy walking distance (300 metres) and Forum Algrave shopping centre around 800 metres. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a pool and the property looks like a very nice place to stay in summer. Buffet breakfast very good value. Rooms good by Ibis standards, cleaning left a little to be desired.
The staffs were very friendly. Breakfast options were pretty good. Air-conditioning system worked quite well, room clean and modern and the wifi speed was fast. Will not hesitate to recommend this Ibis.
All aspects were good, with reasonable sized rooms which were very clean .The problem was the lack of staff, when we went for dinner the few staff were covering the reception, bar and restaurant which made it very slow getting something to eat, breakfast service was no better.
Pleasant welcome, comfortable well equipped room - only complaint, no grab handle in shower. Good choice of dishes on menu, our selection was strogonof which was excellent followed by apple pie. Plus a nice bottle of wine . Breakfast was also excellent.
Only a brief visit - late arrival and early departure but we found the hotel to be excellent for what we needed. Only a short distance to the shopping mall and not far from the airport. The room was on the small size but perfectly adequate with a very comfortable bed and super clean bathroom. Our room did overlook an area where lorries delivered/picked up so a little noisy, but not really a problem. Overall a very good hotel, despite our short time there, but would definitely return!
We used as a stopover from the airport at the beginning and end of our holiday. The reception staff were friendly and very efficient. We had a difficulty with our car hire pick up and they kindly telephoned on our behalf to help resolve the issue. The bed was large and super comfy. The room and bathroom were very clean and well laid out. It felt quiet and relaxing. Indeed the hotel is in a fairly quiet spot with greenery around and a lovely outdoor seating area with swimming pool. We were pleasantly surprised and will definately return. Continental breakfast buffet had a good selection which we enjoyed. We did not eat any other meals here as, to be honest, nothing on the menu really appealed. A simple omelet dish would have made a good addition to the menu, in my opinion, and I would have ordered it had it been available.
What a lovely, clean and friendly place. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. Cannot fault it at all. Loads of safe, on site parking. 7 euro taxi fare to the airport. Half hour stroll into Faro old town or short taxi trip. Just great. Highly recommended.
Located a couple of kilometres outside of central Faro, this hotel offered everything that I expect from Ibis - very clean and very comfortable accommodation, at a good price. My room was in Ibis's new style of decor and looked good and was very well presented. The lady who checked me in and the gent who checked me out were both very friendly and welcoming. I only stayed here for one night, but I slept very well and I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Despite being out of town, there is a regular bus service to/from Faro centre that calls at the Pontes Du Marchil stop, just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The bus also serves the airport and the beach. This is a good Ibis Hotel, I'd certainly stay here again. Recommended.
We had stayed there 3 or 4 times in the past, but, since our last visit the hotel has had a total makeover. Love it, or hate it, it's modern and has nice clean features. Breakfast is excellent as usual, eat as much as you like, but no bacon or eggs! Staff are all friendly and helpful, we will return. Noticed tea making facility gone from the rooms....
bathroom was not clean with long term brown stains in the toilet bowl due I would say to limescale and the top of toilet was also dirty and the room smelled of something between stale air or who knows what. There was an empty water bottle in the room. The room was tiny with a view over waste ground. We booked the room having stayed in other Ibis hotels and having a good experience but not this time
On a dusty A road on the outskirts of Faro is this beautiful IBIS hotel. Very clean, easy location and great service. Cold breakfast worth the E6 charge. Rooms cosy but very clean and the shower was enormous!
Advantage: Friendly staff and clean hotel , close to the airport and mall. Disadvantage: Bad breakfast and very poor number of points for my stay being a LeClub Accor Member and using their website for booking.
We stayed at Ibis Faro for five days in February 2017. Ibis Faro is located quite a distance from the town center on an isolated plot. We did not have a car and needed to use the municipal bus service or taxi all the time. The bus stop was close but on a v e r y busy motorway that we had to cross. The hotel as such was of average standard, small rooms, clean and nice. The breakfast was great and the service in the breakfast room excellent. The rest of the staff were more interested in themselves than the guests.
