I was given a free upgrade - which was great. I enjoyed the gifts in the room! Breakfast was good and the hotel is near to New Street station which is handy! I would stay here again - great if you are by yourself
Hotel is right in centre and it is easy to walk and visit this town full of surprises. If you travel to Paris, you want to visit Notre Dame and Eiffel tower; when you visit Birmingham - the most of beauties are not known - so you will like them more, as far as they will exceed your expectations.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and I particularly liked the ear plugs. The hot breakfast wasn't very hot. Check in and fast check out facilities was very good. It was very well located.
My room was very quiet despite the proximity to Chinatown. A good atmosphere and very helpful staff. The practical decor of this Ibis hotel seemed very appropriate for the setting. Only a three minute walk to John Lewis and New Street Station. Very handy underground carpark.
I keep staying at this hotel for a number of reasons: the team is really friendly & competent, the rooms are good value for money and the location is well-situated both for New Street Station and City Centre plus theatres and pubs.
hotel is easy to find, perfect location for trainstation, pubs shops etc. nice staff, nice building, room is basic but fine for a night or 2. downside: very loud generator/A/C/heating system noises all night; unable to sleep at all
Great looking entrance and lobby, modern and funky design but get to the rooms and can't help feel disappointed by small size and industrial decor. Room was clean at least but beds were not the comfiest, nor was there any hot water for a shower, luke warm at best. Won't be hurrying back
The hotel was brilliant value. The room was small, but had everything I needed and was very clean. It was very quiet despite the club's below. The breakfast was very tasty and rounded off a great stay. My only issue, was the ultra modern lack of a reception desk. There were 2 people in t-shirts that said reception. It's quite hard to queue in an orderly fashion for a reception that keeps moving around the room.
Clean room with modern TV but small bathroom let it down. The twin beds were also on the small side (width and length). But overall clean and good location for night out trip. Was perfect for me and friend - probably not so great for a family though as right above bars/resteraunts with outdoor areas so was quite loud.
We stayed here to see Lady Gaga at The Birmingham Arena, and we will return in the future .The hotel is close to everything we required, including the train station, so we felt in the heart of everything. The staff could have been more attentive, and even let us check in a little earlier. The room was perfectly sized, and the bed was very comfy . We will be back!
Excellent hotel, loved the main part inside, friendly helpful staff, value great, breakfast was good, rooms compact but clean and fine for a couple of nights, location perfect for trains, buses, and visiting Birmingham Centre. Make sure you know where you are parking and how much it will cost, or travel by train
My stay was peaceful & pleasant. Check-in was swift & seamless . Pleasant staff. Clean Hotel room & corridors Greatest attraction is the proximity to the Central station & shopping malls. All a walking distance.
First time with Accor hotels felt like a special guest. Needed a stay part way through the night. It was ideal for my needs and ideal location in China Town so i ate well. Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and tidy and heating was adequate once the room warmed up. I would recommend.
Yes it was OK. Quite warm and comfortable. Staff very nice and helpful. The menu could be a bit more varied - stayed there a few times and it never changes and is very limited. Only three choices of dessert - one of which is ice cream. That is my only comment.
to get round the problem downgraded room from a family one too a double and recieved a drinks voucher, but didnt us it as it only covered a soft drink or beer, not a glass of wine. we needed some where secure to place items, so exepted downgrade as we had no time to sit rou nd and wait. on reflection compensation was very poor......
Very impressed with our stay. Staff very friendly, hotel was in an ideal location, bed very comfortable & we had a lovely breakfast with an impressive choice. Will definitely stay at an Ibis hotel again.
We stayed overnight whilst attending the pantomime at Birmingham Hippodrome. The rooms were very spacious and clean. As usual staff were very pleasant and attentive. The breakfast was to its usual high standard and again an attentive staff. Overall a very good experience.
Ideal position easy to get though from station and in a ideal location for entertainment and shopping also for eating and drinking within walking distance for most things hotel was a good budget accommodation and breakfast was enjoyable
This hotel is great, it is closed to the China town, Location is near to the New Street Station A lot of bars around and convenient for shopping too. Hotel service is quick and staff are nice, Breakfast is good too.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is clean. But the main problem is that the pillows are too hard and uncomfortable. ibis as a chain hotel should resolve this because it really affect sleeping quality whichever ibis I stayed at. If this continues it would affect my choice of stay. If this is resolve, i'd be very happy to continue to stay at ibis in Birmingham and wherever I go.
