One of the best IBIS for location and quality of bed, breakfasts, friendliness and amenities. Only 1 real issue the area has a serious mosquito problem which is not the hotel's fault as they come up the plumbing and air conditioning. However attack night after night and 23 bites (not counting the 20 or so little buggers I killed) slightly put a damper on the holiday.
Overall, a good hotel. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Drawback being the small bathroom. If anyone was on the large side, it would be difficult to use the toilet. Not really enough room to dry off properly after shower. The shower though is excellent.
It is not the fault of this hotel but Accor have rolled out new beds/mattresses across all Ibis hotels and they are awful. I have tried 3 different stays in 3 different hotels and not had a goods night sleep once since the new beds arrived. They feel like you are sleeping on an incontinence pad / hospital bed. There is not one natural fibre in sight. As for the hotel, it is in a good location and the staff are nice & polite. The rooms are small, bathroom tiny. There is a parking opposite too 18euro/24 hour. I would stay again but only if the beds are changed !!
The hotel is very well localizated. In a very quiet region and next to the train sation and the Meir Street. The reception is also excellent. The breakfast with excelletn and very healthy options. I´m sure I´ll suggest this hotel to other friends and stay in this hotel in my next saty in Antwerpen.
The hotel was in a great central location only a few minutes walk from the main shopping areas and the old town. The room was comfortable but very small (particularly the bathroom). The buffet breakfast was fine. Be prepared for mosquitoes, my wife and I left the window open on the first night and were badly bitten - we should have noticed the evidence of various dead mosquitoes on the walls and ceilings.
Decent budget hotel. Small but clean, modern and quite functional rooms. Comfortable beds. The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from the train station and is easy to find. The old town is another 10 - 15 minute walk so the location is quite convenient. There is ample parking in the area. Our only complaint was the poor air conditioning. Rooms are quite hot.
Good central location. Bathroom slightly cramped, but IBIS was generally as good as usual. Staff all pleasant and usual fast efficient service. Despite being busy there was a good breakfast service. Room at the back was pleasantly quiet. Overall, very pleased with my stay.
Bathroom too small and uncomfortable to use. Lack of car parking space immediately added 18 euro per night to the cost of the stay - if this could be highlighted sufficiently at time of booking it could lead to more satisfied customers.
The hotel is located right in the centre. Ideal position for museums, shopping, bars, restaurants, night-life etc. The central station is at walking distance. Great rooms, comfortable and clean. Worth a visit!
This hotel is at a superb location, close to the world famous Central Station, to the most beautiful shopping area in Belgium and to the old centre of Antwerp. Plenty of nice restaurants and bars in walking distance. The reception at this hotel is the most welcoming one one can imagine, equal to top hotels in the world (I actually stayed in an expensive hotel in Boston, USA once with a reception so unwelcoming I refused to stay there).
We had 2 rooms, both sides of the hotel. The rooms are not well insulated, even with windows closed neither my colleague or myself could sleep very well. You hear everything on the street. In addition, be careful as when I booked the hotel room I never include breakfast, but they automatically add the breakfast back into your charge when checking out. I asked the manager about this, and she confirmed that their system automatically adds the €15 breakfast back onto your bill.
Hotel in center of Antwerp. Short distance to all important places, like i.e. old town, train station, etc. Clean and comfortable rooms, even if bath room is a bit small. Friendly and attentive personal.
You will find it difficult to find friendlier hotel staff anywhere in Europe. This hotel is located within very short walking distance from the coolest smartest shopping centres in Belgium, close to museums and Antwerp's beautiful old city centre full of restaurants and bars, and the river "De Schelde". Stay here over the weekend to experience the colourful markets on Saturday and Sunday, at the hotel's front doors! You'll easily walk around the market for more then an hour to find clothes, vegetables and fruits, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, the athmosphere is unique.
excellent service and small but clean room. good breakfast. location near city's shopping street and near city's bar and nightlife activities. Also when I arrived there was a huge aperitive activity near the hotel.
Convenient location, my room was clean and well maintained. Nice out door cafe at the reception and good selection in the bar located next to the reception. Efficient check in and check out with friendly staff.
A classic Ibis hotel well situated close to shopping and bars/restaurants. Clean, cheerful and friendly. We don't eat there as regards breakfast as 15 euros per person is steep when just around the corner there are many cafes that give a substantial continental type fayre for half the cost. Generally we have tried other hotels in Antwerp and still come back to Ibis.
A ten minute walk fro Central Station, this is a well maintained, safe and friendly hotel. The staff are helpful and the rooms just great. You can walk from this hotel to many of the interesting places in the city. Highly recommended.
Rooms are O.K., bathroom too small. No international news channels. You have to pay to leave your luggage in the hotel,Lockers for 2 or 4 euros but you can leave for 24 hours or more. Very good location, cental, theater square with a lot of cozy bars and restaurants nearby.
I stayed here for 3 nights in February 2016. The location is ideal, a 10 minute walk from the central station and very simple to find on foot. The staff are courteous, polite and very professional, especially when dealing with the a fully occupied hotel, no mean feat. The only downside is the decor of the hotel is very dated and could really do with refurbishment. The walls (pebble dash style), the carpets, the fixtures and fittings in the rooms (especially the bathrooms) let down what it otherwise a great and very affordable hotel. I did have a comfortable stay, but after staying at the Ibis Rotterdam that week (a relatively new Ibis) it felt very different in comparison. I would stay again but at it's current level of decor I would not be expecting and exceptional experience.
Nice rooms, everythings seems like new, this gives a good feeling. Sufficient breakfast. Good location to the center, Parking available in neighboorhood, Not to forget mention, the good service of the personnel
