Hotel appeared convenient before returning to Frankfurt Airport and near a nice city. Hotel is at rail station which is at least 20 min walk from Old Town and even further from the Palace. Room allocated was above rail lines but not too noisy unless window left open. Air con in room helped in this respect. Bathroom quite small but adequate. Only one towel each. Bed reasonably comfortable. Only snacks available so did not eat in hotel. Breakfast also costly at 6-11 euros each so walked to cafe in station. Drinks in bar were similar prices to in town.
Normal, breakfast ok, well located, the room was not complete clean, I saw some spider nets in the corners, the hotel is located besides the main train station and its well connected to the city center via bus or metro.
This hotel is very quiet. The personel is very kind. The hotel has a private parking behind the hotel. The room is not very warm but with the heater it is ok. The temperature in the bathroom is nevertheless quiet cold.
good location near railway station. pleasant and efficient staff. Difficulty wsith accessing electric supply with its German plugs that do not appear compatable with European standard 2 round pin adaptors.
Hi from Heidelberg Ibis Heidelberg is a very money worth place to stay when in Heidelberg 1 min from HBF and from restaurants eg Mc Donalds etc... so its recomendable for all cheep price also so its a stay and the staff are multi language duuds... nice job ...
Every year two times and sometimes even 3 I stay at Ibis Heidelberg for my business and leisure, alone or even with accompanying friends or business partners. I enjoy the hospitality, the confort , price and the rich breakfast a lot.
It is an Ibis. A small room, but with everything you need. No location can be better than this. It is next to the main train station from where you can go anywhere by all types of transportation; trains, S-Bahn. tram, bus. The breakfast is a bit expensive, 11 euros per person.
I needed to stay near the railway station and was looking for budget accomodation for a two night stay. This hotel ticked both boxes; indeed, the view from the window (back) of the hotel was of nothing other than the railway platforms (not romantic!!). However, I only ever intended to sleep and shower there, so that was fine by me, and I was pleased to find that the sound-proofing of the double glazed windows almost completely muffled the noise of the station tannoy (and luckily Heidelberg station doesn't seem to have many trains at night). The room was small, but had everything I actually needed, and it was just about big enough for me and my room-mate to not trip over each other.
The hotel is in easy reach of all transport,to get you to all the points of interest. The room was a little compact but very clean and well planned with good storage. The breakfast had a great variety of food on offer and the dining area was light and spacious. The Hotel staff were very helpful and cheerful.
This hotel is ideal for commuters and sightseers alike, as it is conveniently situated beside the main railway station. The old town is a short taxi ride away and the hotel itself is very comfortable and good value for money. The staff are very helpful and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed.
Convenient to train station however a bit of a walk into the old town. It is a flat interesting walk though. However, buses and trams are available. Room was fine. Quiet, clean with good wifi. Reception staff helpful and friendly.
We stayed here for one night on a journey from Brussels to Munich. The hotel was located next to the main train station but that is some more than a mile from Heidelberg old town so it was a bus or taxi ride to find restaurants etc. The room was clean but very small with very little hanging space for clothes. The toilet and shower was also very cramped. It was particularly disappointing to find that the room had no tea or coffee making facilities - if I'm paying 100 Euros per night, a kettle and a few tea bags doesn't seem an unreasonable expectation. If I were making this trip again, I would probably look for an hotel nearer to the Old Town.
- clean and nice room, - very good location, close to train, local and international buses, and city transport, ideal for business trips, good table for evening work in the room, - it would be nice to have a small fridge and a safe in the room, - comfortable large bed, - small bathroom with limited space, - the air-condition in the room could not be completely turned off (even if turned-off, it operated).
The latest in a series of stays. Every thing works.....booking...check-in...clean-room...check out....all done - no problems Great service from excellent staff. but this is a crap review site ....I don't need to type more than 200 chars
Early but tired looking forward to settle down, but was disappointedly told could not check in till 3 pm . Cause we were EARLY , we had no choice but to wander a few hours,,but after 2 hours I remembered that you could check in...All the staff at the front desk was dammed surprised!! They could not say a thing, and told them I went ahead an check in. Room was small and the bathroom was smaller. PAUL BANYON, couldn't even fit in the shower, much more to sit on the toilet seat. There were no water to be had to drink! Staff wasn't to friendly nor spoke English...People working at the front desk , should be able to speak English! There was one clerk that work grave yard shift that spoke well. At the end of our stay, I ask the front desk to call a cab for me Her response was, there was a cab 500 feet away, just walk over there. Never again .I well tell my friends about our experience with IBIS
the room was very small not much room at all, staff on the bar at night did not know how to pour a beer properly and how to use the till it took at least 10 mins to serve 2 people. breakfast was good but the staff were very slow at clearing the tables of dirty trays.
pleasant hotel, nice breakfast, very conveniently located for a walk into the city, parking behind the hotel is convenient if limited so arrive early, its next the station but noise is not really a problem
This hotel is right next to the Main train station so is quite convenient for catching a train with suitcases. We flew overnite from the US and arrived before check-in time and the room was not ready. OK .. but when we asked if they could text us when the room was ready, we were told "no, we have too many rooms to do that." I hope they reconsider this policy since this is the 21st century and hotels all over the world text. So we got into our room and the fan on the heating/cooling unit did not work. We wanted to cool the room off. Maybe the A/C is turned off but I don't understand why the fan would not come on. The next few days were getting cold and someone might want some heat. I told them at the front desk and never rec'd any answer as to what the problem or the solution could be, No fan .. not in 3 days. We had to sleep with the windows open to cool the room and then could hear road noise. Thanks heavens for the earplugs I never travel without.
Good hotel situated at the main station. A 20 min brisk walk to the old town. The hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were just incredibly helpful. Never appreciated what a difference thatakes before. We requested a room with a view of the castle which is what we got. Didnt notice the trains at all. We both felt at home. Thanks guys!
We stayed here one night. It's a great location, just a minute walk to the train station. Hotel is pretty bare bones, just a simple bed and small bathroom. Walls were very thin, could easily hear people in the hall and other rooms. For our purposes it was comfortable enough. Wouldn't recommend staying here for longer trips.
