We liked that the hotel was across the street from the river, as we walked along the river to the Hauptwache and the shopping centre every day. It is also close to the main train station (about 700m). The hotel is currently undergoing renovations but this did not bother us because we were not in the hotel during the day. Our room was nice, clean and tidy. Breakfast selection was excellent.
Good hotel but the internet acess is terrible. The parking is so small and if you use a car you need to make sure trat is one available. When you go to the museuns or other atraction I recomendo you use the river way.
Was dissapointed by the size of the room, we had been travelling for awhile and had 3 suitcases which when we put them in the room we could not move. There is no wardrobe to hang clothes and the peg on the wall was insufficient for clothes and jackets. The shower recess leaks water onto the bathroom floor and there is no floor waste to take the water.
As first time visiting Frankfurt, it was very helpful by the reception staf the information abaut the city and means of locomotion. So it was easy to find out good places to visit and have fun. The visit to Städle Museum is priority.
We came to Frankfurt to experience the Christmas Market and were not disappointed. This hotel was close to very convenient forms of transportation, and we were able to easily get around the city. We were also within walking distance of many sights and restaurants. The hotel staff were all very helpful with information about the area. The hotel is undergoing some renovation, but we were not disturbed.
Clean, comfortable room., compact . Comfiest beds. staff efficient and friendly.15 minute walk to the centre or 2 stops from Central station which is 5 minute walk from hotel. Breakfast so so but adequate.
The hotel is on a quiet riverside street, but not very far from main railway station. We booked a suite, the room is quite big and very clean. There is only one chair in the room, would be nice if they can supply one more chair. Most of staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. The bar offer good wines. It’s definitely one of the best IBIS hotels we have stayed in.
I've stayed here at the Ibis Centrum many times over the past couple of years. The place feels like my second home. The staff is great and very friendly and receptive. I like the rooms and location is pretty good. However, during my most recent stay in early November, some negatives came to light: 1. They are doing a major renovation and "modernisation" project now, and the noise during the morning and day I found rather disruptive and disturbing, esp as I tend to go to sleep quiet late at night/early morning hours and need to sleep during the morning/daytime hours. I understand some noise can not be avoided, it was just bad luck for me, and I wish I had known about this construction noise before I booked at this property, 2. Maybe this is nit-picking, but I was really disappointed by the selection of TV channels now available at this hotel. Specifically: they used to offer at least three major English-speaking news channels amongst the 50+ channels on offer. Over the past three years I've seen this hotel eliminate from their channel selection: first CNN, then most recently BBC World and now, actually during my stay, the only decent English news channel, SKY News, was abruptly cut off one day mid-way through my stay. So the only channels left in English were A) France 24 (English) and Al-Jazeera English. Nein danke! It seems they have no regard for the selection of English-speaking TV channels at this hotel. For me, who stays 10-14 days, this was very disappointing.
Somewhat utilitarian but suitable for our purpose. Location is great as it is near the train station and close to our friends. Paying extra money for the extra high speed internet may be pointless. I could make it work for my phone but not for my laptop. Front desk clerk explained to me what was clearly written on the paper I was given: assumed I couldn't read. Was going to put me over to the tech provider. No thanks: just do without. Front desk staff was otherwise very professional and friendly.
The staff were very helpful and made you welcome. As I had a different experience at Dresden Bastei with the evening staff making no effort to help me with finding out about my return flight to the United Kingdom on the computer it was the opposite as I did find out my details. They were much more keen to keep my custom as I have stayed at a lot of Ibis hotels
I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. I felt welcome from the second I walked in the reception, and the receptionists were very friendly, helpful and service-minded. I had a room at seventh floor, with a very nice view, as well. I'd defintely choose this hotel again! The room was kind of small, but big enough for me.
The hotel is about a 10 min walkfrom the main station. I found it quicker to walk than wait for a tram. Very pleasnt location next to the river Main. From my room I could see the river through a line of trees. The hotel was clean throughout. My room was quite small but somehow a large bed been installed. As usual by Ibis the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the buffet-breakfast, although the warm selection was limited. Very friendly staff, especially in the bar and at the reception. I would use the hotel again.
My room was clean and nice although very small, breakfast ok, staff was nice, I would recommend it for a short stay because of the size of the room, price was too high but because of a Fair (automobile).
Conveniently located ( downtown and along the Main River ) Good price for the quality of the service. Quality of the room and the breakfast Icing on the cake it is possible to run along the Main River
Nice hotel at great location. BUT: in the middle of a heat wave, the air conditioning was not working. I talked to the reception, they said they'd send someone to fix it but never did. When I checked out they said I should email the hotel manager, which I did, and she never answered my email, which was very disappointing.
Small bathroom, no tea kettle, not too welcoming greetings but good value for money and location -10 min. from train station and very close to park - Good for one night transit - closet is very tiny - only two staffs were at the front desk and a long line
Good location, convenient parking (15 euros/day June 17). Helpful staff. Hotel clean although its decor is looking a little tired. The rooms and public areas of the hotel could do with a refresh. Tiny tv. Wi-fi very slow. Beds comfortable though.
Clean hotel and hotel room. Online check-in and check-out service works perfectly and is very convenient if you want things done fast. Tip: breakfast at Cron (am Hafen). A restaurant & Vinothek just around the corner. Bit expensive but really good!
Many Thanks to the Housekeepers ! Room is sparkling clean except that , Please do not put drinking glasses in the shower room/ toilet ! Its not so hygienic :( I didn't have a good sleep for both nights My body was aching all over, felt that the mattress is just not for me. Otherwise, the hotel is situated in a very convenient area. To the central is just a mere 10-15mins walk. n main train station is 8-10 mins walk.
Clean, friendly staff, great location close to railway station, and close to the river with nice walks. Would visit again but would have to be better rates than I payed on this visit I didn't try the breakfast on this accasion
