The thing about these brands is that you sort of now what you're going to get. In this case, the staff were excellent, but the standard of building construction left something to be desired. Stayed for a couple of nights to see the sight of Vienne. Great location - able to walk everywhere, including Romain-en-Gal etc.. There are loads of good restuarants, brasseries, cafes, bars etc. within a 5 minute walk, so getting sustenance is easy. They don't have parking, but there is a public car park across the street which is free at night & not too expensive during the day. In our case we opted to park in the multi-storey & reasonably secure station car park which is just a few minutes walk further on. It cost about E18 for nearly 3 days parking. The only downside was very poor internal soundproofing. We could hear almost everything said, snored & sexted by each neighbour. In one case, I was tempted to go round, knock on his door & advise him to dump the woman, but my better half's wisdom prevailed. The poor guy was on the road trying to make a living & all he was getting from his 'partner' was whingeing about how hard life was for her whilst waiting for her finger nails to dry. She didn't wok & didn't seem to do anythig to support him in his efforts. I should have done it, shouldn't I! Ironically, although we were right above a main road, there we heard virtually no traffic noise, so the window units are pretty good.
