OK we arrived, car park not easy to find - marked fitness parking for somebody else. Room small but pleasant. There had been something sticky spilled on the floor hext to the bed which I stood in. Bedding very clean and shower room very clean. Shower very small. We did try to get something to eat. Were informed restaurant opened 1900 hours so snacks available. Didn't want a snack so we decided to wait. Several more people arrived in the reception area - obviously wanting to eat in the restaurant. We all managed to get one drink and then the receptionist, lady serving the drinks and restuarant staff all sat down for their meail. We could all smell it and hear them eating. We could not get another drink as the server was eating. We left and got food elsewhere. Unfortunately normal for France - no customer consideration whatsoever.
All the Ibis hotels we've stayed in are pretty much the same. The beds are comfortable and clean, the space is compact but fine for 1 night. The decor in the room was looking a bit worn, and wallpaper in the bathroom is never a great idea. The restaurant and entrance were being refurbished so maybe the rooms will be too. Good choice of food at breakfast. The location was a bit of a walk into the old town area (15mibs).
This hotel gave a warm welcome and the staff were friendly and helpful. After a long journey it was disappointing to learn that the hotel restaurant was not available to guests because of a private party booking. One of the main reasons for staying in a hotel is the availability of services. The room service menu was available but the rooms are not designed to easily have a meal since there is only one chair and no table other than the desk. We had to change our room immediately on arrival .because the toilet would not flush. It was quickly remedied by the offer of an immediate room change but thereafter the room key did not work and needed to be revalidated each time we left and entered the hotel. The hotel was quiet and the rooms clean and well designed. Two lifts mean you dont have to wait. However it was obvious the hotel was quiet and working on a skeleton staff. We discovered after a morning visit to town our room had not been refreshed and despite being vacant since 8.30 am this did not happen until after lunch when we specifically requested that it was done. Parking charges at 7 Eu day were more favourable than on road parking but nevertheless an annoying extra charge.
We like to stay in this hotel when we travel to and from the UK. The rooms are always comfortable and clean and quiet. We ordered a meal online which was super convenient. I like the sweet bed because it provides comfortable support, allowing you a good night's rest. This is an ideal place to stay for travellers. The staff are very responsive to any requests.
A good hotel well positioned for the city centre. Reception staff are very helpful and wiling to speak English if you require this. Car parking can be booked in advance and this is very useful. The hotel was quiet, clean and just what we needed for an overnight stop. The restaurant is worth a visit for reasonable meals served by friendly staff. We will definitely stay again on our trip to and from the UK.
Again a very enjoyable stay at this Ibis Centre. The staff are all very helpful. We have never had any problems to date. Great place to stay. It is close to the centre so you can walking the centre of Orleans.
I know this hotel since many years. I find that quality of this hotel is each time better and better. Excellent service on all aspects. All ladies of the reception gave us always good answers to all questions. They are always keen to help. All people working in the restaurant are very friendly. The rooms are clean and last but nos least - the quality of mattresses are excellent !!!
Thank goodness for Sat Nav otherwise we would not have found it. It says Central but far from it,suburban more apt. About 10 to 15 minutes from town. On arrrival we asked about upgrade ,being one of our card benefits, we were told we were already on the top floor. Not the upgrade we meant. The room was small, and a third was taken up with a bolt on bathroom, the toilet had not been cleaned and was filthy. You could get your head near the sink if your backside was in the bedroom. Service was poor and unprofessional. Sorry but not very good
We stayed one night in July 2016 as a break during a return car trip from the Vendee. The hotel was comfortable with a good breakfast. Calling it Orleans Centre is stretching things a bit as the hotel is outside the ring road arounf Orleans, but having said that, Orleans is a small city, so we were able to walk to the centre (cathedral, river, old town etc) in 20 minutes.
We stayed over en route to the UK. We wanted a budget stoppover. I can recommend this hotel. Parking is available and the little restaurant is worth a visit if you don't feel like walking into Town. Meals are simple and tasty. We would stay again.
Old style Ibis in the center of Orleans at 5 minutes by feet from the station. Good place to stay. Very good breakfast with excellent choice of sweet and salted products, eggs to cook yourself, lots of different bread, cereals and fresh 'Madelaines', 4 different kinds of juice...
This is my third stay at Ibis Orleans Centre. The staff are helpful, parking was available and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was the usual good Ibis standard. Didn't have evening meal since I wanted to roam the city. The city centre is an easy walk and since the recent "travaux" was completed it is very attractive and dynamic with lots of young people enjoting themselves.
Stayed here on our way home from the south of France. Convenient location, friendly staff and our room keys were ready by the time we had parked in the underground car park. Everything as you would expect from Ibis.
This Ibis Centre is great as a midway stopping off point for traveling to the south of France. We stay here every time as we know that the rooms are clean and tidy and the food in the bar is very good as the wife requires Gluten free food and the staff are very helpful in sorting this out for her which is a big help. We might stay for a few extra days and explore Orleans for a change. Great Hotel and Brilliant Staff. Recommend to all.
A well-placed hotel, within walking distance of the main square, cathedral and river. Staff were friendly and helpful; the breakfast was excellent. An ideal location for an overnight stop in Orleans. Secure parking.
Only criticisms were that the bedroom was small and the dining area was crowded, especially at breakfast time. Everything else absolutely fine. The location, in easy walking distance of the old town, was perfect.
Chose to stay here on our way down to the Dordogne. Good location for seeing some of Orleans. Regretfully the car park facilities and breakfast were a little lacking. Generally though an ok place to stay.
the hotel is well located at walking distance from the centre of the town. the infrastructure is recent and well maintained. the personnel proved to be very kind and helpful. the only small hint (not depending on the hotel) was a VERY noisy group of elderly people that were very happy to be together .....
The location is the Hotel's strongpoint. The staff were not as welcoming as most if the Ibis Hotels we have stayed at. The room was fine with the comfy Ibis bed - the bathroom had everything we needed packed into a small space . Breakfast selection more limited than we expected but this could be due to the fact that the Hotel was not very busy. We would recommend and stay again
The room was tiny, most unlike other Ibis we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. You could hardly move in the bathroom. Did not sample the food other than breakfast which was fine. Hotel was extremely overpriced thankfully only stayed the one night.
