the first night, my children were attacked by fleas. I had to specially ask the staff to clean the sofabed and couch. The sofabed itself was big and in good shape, but the mattress was not appropriate for those springs; resulting in a huge back pain just for lying there a couple of hours. I paid online for the included breakfast, but on check-in, i was informed that i had paid only for the adults breakfast, so had to pay extra for the children. no mention of that in the offer description. the first morning, there was a huge group having breakfast, so the staff was understandably stressed; but that doesn't excuse the terrible manners of the staff member that refused to listen to us until somebody else made her stop and understand that we weren't part of that group. the breakfast buffet options were sufficient and tasty, but I can't have white flour for medical reasons; and there wasn't any wholegrain option. I had to bring my own bread every morning to be able to eat something. The main entrance in via a non-covered escalator, but there's also a lift access from the street. Once we tried that to avoid the rain. Huge mistake, it was in a corner evidently used by homeless people as refuge, and the lift itself reeked of urine. there's a pool, and seemed very nice and clean; unfortunately it was closed until several weeks later. Once again, no mention of that in the online description. The general theme was that everything was close to being good, but missed the mark by some important detail: the location was good (right on the train station), but no care of the outside,. The room was ample and nice, but wasn't clean when we arrived. The staff was helpful and friendly, except for those on the kitchen, who were plain rude and bad mannered. The food was good but missing options for any dietary restriction. The price was good, but had to pay extra upfront.
Perfect location to visit Nice. Near to busstation from airport en near to trainstation. Everything within walking distance. Cheap price for good quality. Breakfast perfect for a few euros. Friendly service.
Being adjacent to the train station, the hotel is easy to find in city center when you're on public transportation. Being on a short weekend trip, a rental car was more feasible so you don't waste time waiting on the next mode of transport. That option is not the most economical feature because parking in the garage is not cheap... about €50 for 3 nights of parking. Room 729 is a corner room and it's rather scenic without anything obstructing the view. The amenities are standard and consistent to every IBIS I've ever visited. Housekeeping here works the opposite of N.American hotels. Without any invite/notification to clean, by default, they will enter and clean up your room. The bigger window is chained so it does not open full. The bathroom window opens fully, but it's narrow and cannot push your body out the window to lean out for a view. As for the breakfast buffet spread, it's a good value under €10 per person, but there are better options 3-4 blocks away. The quantity is abundant here, but find quality food elsewhere.
Clean hotel with pleasant staff right beside the railway station Nice-Ville and close to all the main attractions via the Nice tram system which is a few minutes walk away. Only criticisms are that the outdoor escalator could seriously do with a drop of oil and the rooms, especially the bathroom, are so small and poorly equipped (no kettle etc.) that This hotel would be more suited to the Ibis Budget brand.
Comfortable;good breakfast although the minimal staff in the breakfast area were overwhelmed by large numbers. Rather disappointed as there is no restaurant in the evening as there has been in the past
good hotel with a swimming pool a rarity in Nice for a budget hotel very comfortable and quiet room breakfast buffet a real treat the railway station nearby is the utmost outstanding plus because the cote d azur has so much to offer for tourists
Perfect hotel for a week sightseeing holidays in Nice. Very comfortable bed, nice view of the city and sea, good cleaning service, friendly staff, nice pool to chill after whole day of exploring the azzure coast, 20 minutes walk to the beach and the old town and next to the train station.
I have stayed in many Ibis hotels and was disappointed that this fell a little short of the good standard I have come to expect. The room was faultlessly clean, but the water pressure on the shower was very low (7th floor), turning showering in dribbling some water over your body :-( No shaver socket. Bed smaller than usual in Ibis. Air conditioning was at maximum cooling, but would have preferred it if it had managed to cool the room a couple of degrees more - too hot under the duvet. Staff friendly and polite. Location convenient for the station but long walk from the old town and sea.
The hotel is good but the staff are not friendly and rather than helping they blame you. Thank you for the technician to go up our room and check the problem with international tv but no update or message left on what was done. We had to call the reception to find out they had problems with their provider...3 days later...,
The location of the property is excellent. It is next to the main railway station (Nice Ville). All eating places are also located nearby. Room size is small but rooms are maintained well. However, only French channels can be seen on television. Even after repeated reminders to the staff, the English channels were not activated.
When we are in Nice we always stay at this hotel. It is very well positioned for the station. Comfortable and spacious, good, helpful, pleasant staff. Good value breakfast. Dinner adequate and reasonably priced. Could be more choice however.
Excellent value for a big, quiet, comfortable room. Convenient access to train station for travel to Monte Carlo, etc. Wifi excellent. Can walk to the sea in 15 minutes.Overall very satisfied with this hotel.
Always very welcoming, excellent breakfast and right next to the railway station which is important if you arrive late at night. Staff are really friendly and helpful. I travel alone and they make me feel relaxed and at home.
The night clerk at this hotel was extremely rude at checkout and throughout my stay. The rooms are dated and more or less clean. The location by the train station is to be as expected, a bit shady at times. No great value.
This hotel is very handy for a number of reasons Firstly you can get a bus straight from the airport to the hotel for 6 euros Stop is outside the terminal and is non stop to the Station and the Ibis is right by the Station Secondly if you want to go to Monoco take the train which takes about 20 mins for 2 euros each way very handy for the Grand Prix in Monaco The hotel has a swimming pool on the top floor staff are very efficient Nice off course has a lot of English stay there or nearby
Very clean and well-annointed hotel from the Ibis chain. We stayed there for 3 nights and found the rooms very clean and well serviced by the hotel staff. The front desk and bar staff were also very friendly. Good facilities, pool, lounge and computer stations available. Good quality and comfort for the price. Would definitely stay here again.
second stay in the course of a month. the hotel is a pretty standard ibis centre gare hotel, making getting to/from the train station very easy, and the hotel itself, while quite busy, is pleasantly quiet. I was given a room on the top floor, and discovered amazing views out the windows at the end of the hallways. Rooms are standard Ibis: quiet, comfortable, with compact bathrooms, and reliable wifi. The restaurant area is open at breakfast and dinner, and there is a bar with a bar menu available at those and other times. For breakfast, the restaurant would be well served by an additional coffee machine; there is only one, which can cause a backlog. Nice was quite busy during my stay, due to the finale of the Euro Cup, and the lobby/reception area was normally a hub of activity. Check-in and out were both fast and efficient. A request for a wake-up call was not fulfilled; fortunately it was just a back-up for another alarm, which worked, but still...
The room is so smell especially air conditioned. we have asked to changethe room but in the beginning, they just want to clean it and spray with perfumes. But, after 3 - 4 hours, it was smell again. Then, we complained again. And finally, they want to change the room.
A great location if you travel by train (or by plane as the Airport Express bus stops close by, too) but the beach is a couple of km away. A Monoprix supermarket is not far (get out of the hotel, turn left, walk straight ahead past the train station, it's on the other side of the street), and a U-Marche is not far, either (walk further until you cross tram lines, turn left, it's on the right side on a corner before the bridge); if you follow the tram lines to the right side, you see lots of shops. The room was quite large (we had a room for 4 people) and had a great view towards the sea (we were on the 8th floor). Wifi was free and fast. We had only 2 small problems: the swimming-pool was a bit too small (a half of it was for kids, so only about 3x5m was for adults) and water pressure in the toilet was a bit too weak.
Good location beside the station. Rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful when our flight was cancelled and got us sorted out with alternatives. Only complaint was clear glass in the bathroom window, but other than that would recommend it for those travelling on a budget.
