I have stayed frequently at various Ibis hotels and this one is pretty much what I expected. The location is very good. Ten minute walk to Commerce centre or get the tram just outside for 1.60 euros. The reception staff were excellent, really helpful. The overall prices within the hotel are quite reasonable. The only negative comment i would make is that the rooms and very small and you don't get tea and coffee supplied. I would stay again as it representated excellent value for money.
This Ibis is in an excellent location in Nantes. It's very clean and the breakfast is fantastic. They had a gluten free option with very good bread and madeleines. The only thing to be aware of is that the parking is small. However, there is another parking just down the street.
On a hot day with the sun streaming through the window, the management would not turn on the air conditioning making the room very uncomfortable... We were told to open the window and wait for the room to cool in the evening. We did and had flies buzzing all night.
I really enjoyed Ibis in Nantes because it was a mixture of something modern that had a sophisticated touch to it. The staff members were really friendly and sweet. I look forward to going back to Nantes and staying at the same hotel!
This hotel is just off the city centre but the tram stops 20m from the door so no difficulty there really. It is surprisingly quite both from internal and external noise - a real plus for us country folk. Clean, compact rooms and a real banquet at breakfast complete this no frills good value deal.
We visited Nantes as part of our road trip from Paris to Bordeaux. A great city to visit with lots of history and lots of things to do. Will return one day. the Ibis was very centrally located. Rooms were great and staff was attentive and friendly.
We arrived early Saturday evening and Nantes was getting ready for a big night. Had difficulty finding the hotel and when we did had difficulty finding a parking spot, the hotel car park was full. Cannot really comment on the hotel as we literally booked in, when for dinner in a local restaurant and booked out by 9 a.m. the next day. Comments on Nantes, difficult to negotiate, many one way streets, absolutely dead on Sunday mornings, nowhere to find anything to eat breakfast but visiting the mechanical museum is a must especially the big elephant, that was a real highlight.
Have stayed here on a few occasions now and have never been disappointed. Very clean bedroom & bathroom. Bed very comfortable & a great size, partner is over 6ft so this is always good. Staff very friendly and breakfast excellent the following morning. Ideal location to explore Nantes on foot. Small gripe, air con didn't work so we left the window open overnight. It had been raining so we were both covered in bites in the morning. Our own fault, we didn't let reception know our air con was out of action.
This is one of the newer Ibis hotels, the rooms are slightly larger and more comfortable than in the older ones. The new beds are super comfortable. The rooms are very clean. The new Ibis format restaurant is also very pleasant and offers quite good food. This hotel provides private parking and is walking distance to the old centre of Nantes, so good for overnight or an extended stay at a reasonable price.
As ever, the staff are very efficient. I used the internet check in and check out for the first time and it worked perfectly. I highly recommend this system as it saves a lot of time. Comfortable efficiency as always here and verywell situated for restaurants and bars and for touring the sites of the city.
Really good value, but difficult to find by car as sign was obscured by road furniture. Bathroom a bit small but beds excellent, would recommend it for its location, it was perfect for seeing the city.
Hotel staff were very helpful and polite. It was a really convenient location for one night in this surprisingly marvellous and interesting city. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again.
Very good plain and simple hotel with excellent service at the right price whether on business or holiday. Staff service is excellent and I would say they serve the best continental breakfast selection of any hotel in this class in Nantes. They have secure parking and if this is full also free overnight parking on the streets surrounding the hotel. It is 5-10 minutes walking to main shops and many restaurants and bars and also to some of the main tourist attractions such as the cathedral and castle.
Nantes has a lot to offer, and being centrally located to visit many of the sites is essential to any visit. The Ibis Nantes is right in the heart of the city near shops, restaurants and the Chateau!!!
I stayed overnight on a motorcycle trip (which included another stay at Ibis in Le Mans), and was thoroughly pleased with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helped with a few questions i had. The room and furniture was pleasant, and the breakfast was pretty good. Overall i was pleasantly surprised with my stay, and its changed my view of what a budget sensitive hotel can offer.
We were very happy when we found the first Ibis hotel in France while travelling for 5 weeks and after receiving the booklet on were to find Ibis hotels we used it through out the trip staying 2 nights and sometimes 3 as we found everyone of them very clean and the beds really comfortable ( a big plus for my husband ) Have already reccommended the chain to friends since arriving home
This is a fairly standard Ibis hotel, room was adequate, internet computer in lobby appreciated. Given the hotel is named after the nearby Tour Bretagne, was surprised that reception couldn't offer any information about visiting it. An otherwise uneventful stay was spoilt by the rather unpleasant member of staff working the night shift.
We keep coming back to this well located, completely renovated, exceedingly comfortable, very clean and quiet hotel - with great wifi and optional extensive breakfast. The room and bathroom are not large - but exceptionally well designed and functional. (A minor complaint for us was the visual bussiness of the newly redecorated lobby rug - and some might love it.) A fine hotel - a definite yes.
When we arrived we went directly into the underground parking and left the car there as the tramway is just round the corner from the hotel. It's cheap if you get a 24 hour ticket each time and you can go anywhere you want - an excellent service. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was rather small but we were in the center of the town which is what we wanted. We had a very enjoyable visit.
Perfectly sutiable for a 4-5 day business stay. The biggest plus points are the perfectly working free Wifi-connection, a very comfortable bed, the modern and clean bathroom as well as the tram station (Line 3) 50 meters in front of the hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet side street but still very central. The staff was very friendly and professional. I only missed a Mini-bar in my room. All in all, Ibis Nantes Centre Tour Bretagne is ahotel I would recommend.
