Cheap and a polite ,helpful reception. Rooms at front preferable, those at rear have very dull view. Park over the road cheap and safe Town is not far by foot with a large selection of places to eat. The Italian close to the hotel is good IF open but others forget.
One of the best Ibis hotels that I have stayed in of late. The room was more spacious than the 'budget' version ... for much the same price as budget versions in larger cities. We had a corner room with a great view over the canal. The breakfast downstairs was quite good and the staff were helpful and informative. The underground parking was for me a big bonus ... just make sure your hire car is not too big. Nancy may not be 'ground-zero' for art nouveau ... but it is close and well worth a visit. My only perpetual 'grizzle' with Ibis hotels is the absence of an electric kettle for late night or early morning cups of tea. Could not even have one as an optional extra. I guess my parting impression is of the staff's being helpful and the great location.
We have stayed at this hotel before, it is easy to get to, has private and public parking and is close to Stanislas Square. There are restaurants close by (some closed on Monday!) and in the square. Breakfast a normal Ibis selection although no fritata, good for an ealry get away Generally a god stop over
This hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from the centre and on one of the tram routes. There is more than enough room in the underground car park. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom is more than adequate. Breakfast fine and the bar /coffee shop seemed to never shut. A good place to stay to visit this city.
Good location just a short walk to the beautiful city centre and the Place Stanislas. Had a slight problem with locating the underground car park due to the one way system - think we might have driven on a tram only lane!
We wanted somewhere close to the city centre with parking and this hotel was ideal. The rooms aren't very big but they're comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only let down for us was the breakfast which is average to poor.
Hotel is fine, well located just a few minutes from town, free parking available across the road otherwise €9.50 in hotel which I find a bit steep. Was given room 102,which we had been in previously, this has to be one of the worst room within the brand. If you lay in bed you stare at a concrete wall and likewise if you stand up the same vista. Kindly they changed the room to one at the front which can be a bit noisy. Staff friendly and polite.
This typical Ibis hotel us in some need for a decorative up-date but is in a good location for exploring the city whilst on an overnight stop. Good secure underground parking (if a bit difficult to access initially - lack of drop-off point). Staff initially very cool but soon warmed to British humour.
Traveling by car, it was not easy to locate the Hotel garage. There is parking close by, but better to use the Hotel pay parking. The room we were given was very small, but was willingly changed on request. The next room was not much better, more like a budget hotel, and not worth the premium rates being charged. Curtains in the room did not fully keep out the lights from outside, they also were partially fitted to the rail. The staff were excellent.
good location and friendly people. Accommodation was very small and needs some renovation. Bedclothes were very warm.It is not the general IBIS standard and not what I am generally used to find with IBIS hotels.
A very good place to stay close to the towm center and good parking even if you have to pay good value.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
The hotel was easy to find but the car park was difficult to navigate. The lights were on a timer which went out before we got our bags from the car resulting in being in pitch black. There was no lift from the carpark to the checkin area on the ground floor so had to carry our bags up the stairs. Our room was an internal facing room, with a view of the rubbish bins and the driveway down to the carpark - very very dull. The room was small and dated. Good breakfast.
Good hotel, well situated for central Nancy. Only a few minutes walk from Place Stanislas. Staff were friendly and helpful advising us what to see. Room was comfortable and clean. Underground parking a bonus in a city location.
Relatively close to the city centre, with a proper, closed garage. Important for us and our valuable 1972 oldtimer! Nancy is a lively city with a wonderful "Place Stanislas", but also a nice city park next to it. Hotel is like all Ibis ones: rooms are more than OK and the breakfast facilities offer a wide choice. Our room was at the back so traffic noise was absent. Recommended...
Have been to this IBIS about 6 times and it always seems a bit hit and miss, much depending on the room you receive. Those overlooking the underground garage entrance are small and face a wall ! This time we faced the street, the bed did seem smaller than usual. That said the hotel is well located in a developing area, near to town and some good restaurants. Parking outside is quite possible and access to the hotel and to local motorways not difficult.
Ideally situated for visiting the city, underground car park available but at €9 is expensive. Clean and comfortable room though no kettle or coffee which was an irritation after 12 hours travelling. Breakfast too expensive. Would stay here again but leave the breakfast.
My Partner and I had to find a hotel near the Airport at Nancy for the Gordon Bennet Balloon race. My Accor club membership pointed to this hotel, which was perfect for our needs. The underground parking enabled us to unload and check in, then we went off to the Airport. Back late at night, loads of on street parking - virtually in the bar! The nature of ballooning is such that you may need to find something else to do. Nancy was a great city to walk around, just out the door, turn left - you are there! over the road and you come to the Canal. with some lovely aquatic gardens over the bridge. And even the spectacle of the bridge elevating to let the boats through. We will be back!
Ibis' usual standard - basic, no-frills, but clean, quiet and everything you need. Good bathroom. The hotel has a lock-up garage for 10 euros a night but there is plenty of free parking on the canalside carpark just across the road, which is also well situated for the motorway going south. 10 minutes walk to Place Stanislas. Well signposted from town centre. Reception staff courteous and charming. Very suitable for a one-night stopover.
