The bedroom was clean, but the bathroom too small and the hanging space for clothes much too small. Have used Ibis a lot over the years, but don't like the change in bedroom style, with a television casing too big for the room.
The air-conditioner didn't work well. The wind came out was not cold. I asked technician to check, but he said there was no problem. The truth was, the room was sweltering at night and it was too hot to have a sound sleep. Also, I booked a room with double bed, but there was two single beds put together. The thin mattresses on each bed were easily moved when I turned over. Although the reception staffs were all friendly and helpful, the living experience was not good.
clean, comfortable hotel. very central.highly recommend.stayed here for three nights.very near tram station and bus station for the airport.very near Place De Comedie where there is plenty places for a coffee, a wine or a snack.
There are 2 ibis hotels in Montpellier and I think this one not the best. We had very tiny room - smaller than in ibis in Paris even. It was really tiniest room which I ever see in ibis hotel around world. Very unconvenient shower cabine without curtain or door. But it was well enough for us to stay here. Stuff was friendly, room was clear. The room has air-conditioner
I stayed three nights. The second night I thought I was bitten by mosquitoes. Not so: the last night I saw the real problem, immediately packed, showered and left. The staff at the reception recognized the problem as well: bed bugs. However, despite all promises on every poster on every wall and desk, they did not solve it in 15 minutes but I did not get my money back. Now, 4 weeks after my stay, I still have the marks, have to take medicines, have been to the doctors for the third time, but the hotel staff just considers me a troublesome client. I needed to throw away my suitcase and sanitize all my stuff, which additionally complicated the next business trips. Not to speak about the amount of explanations as why I look the way I do... Other, comparably minor issues but still significant: when making the reservation I asked for a smoke-free room and indicated the need for a lactose-free diet for breakfast. The smoke-free room took a lot of negotiation, the breakfast never got lactose-free.
This was a trip to watch some rugby and relax.the hotel is well situated and close to a large shopping mall and also the Place des Comedie which is a great place for entertainment, bars and eateries. Hotel is also close to a tram stop which gives access to a well co-ordinated transport network which is very cheap. The rooms are small but perfectly adequate. the only drawback was the high step to the shower and its position
I was at Ibis hotel to enjoy a two day Xmas market visit. The staff were so welcoming and the little extras in the room - bottled water, sweets and hand hairdryer - were much appreciated. Food good too.
Unfortunately, there were two conferences taking place that week and the better hotels were fully booked. The room was overpriced, cramped with inadequate bathroom and toilet facilities and no hot water in the morning. The breakfast was awful. A complete waste of money.
My room was orientated toward a secon hotel (called Mercure, from the same company). And a beautiful reception, with tables situated outdoor for the dinner, was very noisy. The music stopped at 00h30 after my phones to the greeting of Ibis and the greeting of Mercure and finally my phones to the local police. It's a pity, Ibis and Mercure are in the same company .....
The location is it's core feature. The rooms are small , but cozy, nice bed as usual in the accor chain hotels, however the designer's solution of placing the bathroom and the toilette right in the room separating it from the room with the small wall is not the best feature if you are staying in the room with someone else
5 minute walk to main square. Friendly staff. Have to pay for car park. Clean room and adequate size. Shower cubicle needs a bigger shutter to prevent flooding of bathroom. Not well signposted until the very end.
Was asked to move my motorcycle furthest away from the door and had to carry all my gear after a very long hot ride yet had to pay the full amount as a car to park Room 212 is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. Water damaged wall and floor. Creaked like a 200 year old house The hotel seemed very empty yet the must have given me the worst room they had Next morning asked reception who moved our room
Situated about ten minutes walk from Montpellier St Roch station with the Mercure Hotel next door. Not the easiest to find as you have to navigate the concrete creation that is the Polygon centre. Comfortable room and bed alongwith a standard Ibis breakfast next day with a good selection. The hotel has both enclosed bathrooms and quite bizarre ones open arrangement taking en suite too far. Beware when accepting your room key.
Room was okay, but the quality of the bed and mattress is a disaster. Couldn't sleep at all. The mattress is so firm you feel like sleeping on the floor. Stood up twice as a broken man. Some hotels have still not understood that the most important need and expactation for a traveller is a good night's rest !
I was happy to go back to this hotel after my last stay in 2011, to find it is still as good. the rooms have been refurbished & are spotlessly clean, with good air-conditioning which is essential in Montpellier in July. The staff are efficient & friendly, especially in the breakfast room where they keep everything replenished. Nice touch was having plenty of copies of the local paper available in reception.
Although the hotel is situated in a quiet area behind the Polygon Centre, the bathroom wall was made of glass which gave no privacy whatso ever, and it was far too small and the breakfast was too expensive.
The hotel was ideally placed for the centre of Montpellier and all the services you would want as a tourist. However a much as the hotel was very clean the rooms were extremely small with no wardrobe or drawer space to put your clothes in. We had to lve out of our suitcases tucked under the bed. The shower/toilet area was also miniscule and very tight for space. There was no tea/coffee making facilities made available. This hotel has been designed for 1 night stay clients (business) and id totally unsuitable for people visiting and staying in the city.
Very close to main centre, but still quiet at night. Room was very clean and compact, wonderful bed, mattress - great quality sleep. Air conditioned room, free fast internet with option of upgrading. Was a bit surprised that en suite had no door, and was a bit uncomfortable for leg room when using the toilet. Payed 82 euro per night for room, but no tea/coffee making facilities in room
the hotel is great, very clean and has a lovely café within it the rooms are small but the beds are very very comfortable, the pillows I wanted to bring home with me. the location is fantastic for everything the weather is great we will definitely see you next year same time
The room was very clean and comfortable, BUT we think you should have made the EN SUITE with a wall panel - not glass privacy when someone is using the toilet. We hope other clients have made the same observation.
