Very convenient to both train and bus, a good hotel with excellent food. Close to travel facilities and only a 20 minute walk into the city, this hotel is extremely good value for the price. English spoken by helpful reception staff.
toilet not cleaned! arrived late so I unloaded my luggage and did not realize that the toilet was dirty. friendly atall offered tánother bedroom but iI delclined since I had already unloaded my luggage. does one have to check the cleanlisness of teh bedroom first thing when one arrives ?? also I asked for a bedroom on the first floor and facing the rear but I got a bedroom on the 6th floor facing the front. not professional. friendly stall though, helpful
The hotel is easily accessible from the station. Check-in and check-out were done with efficiency. Breakfast offered a nice choice and I especially liked the take-away fresh fruits. It was very welcome for the rest of my day. Take away cups for coffee would have been nice too.
The hotel is close to the station and the staff were very friendly and helpful.there was good storage for our bikes, they willingly provided ice to help my wife's injured knee. The breakfast was to the usual Ibis standard. The dinner at the restaurant was also good and the patio at the back I'd very nice and private to have dinner. It.s a bit unfortunate we could not use this patio during the day even for drinks but had to use the tables in the front of the hotel - these are not as good as it's right next to the road and the railway and so is noisy and not at all private. Overall we enjoyed our stay
Nice hotel . Reception is really modern and inviting. Staff very helpful. Only problem was breakfast was very limited due to restaurant being very busy . If you are charging nearly €10 the least you expect in France are croissants
Great staff, good food and wine, really comfortable beds and clean. Good that itt has a private car park, but access to and from it is a bit of a pot holed nightmare, which spoils the overall impression you have on leaving.
Chose the hotel due to proximity to Dijon railway station and were not disappointed. Could have done with some directions on arrival (!) but on departure, mere 5 minutes' walk, with luggage. Everywhere clean, tidy, comfortable room, good shower. Desk staff most pleasant, helpful and dealt very diplomatically with someone trying to "jump the queue" during our check-in.
Our second stay here. A couple of minutes from the railway station and five minutes from the town centre so very convenient. The hotel looks a bit scruffy from the outside but it is clean and pleasant inside, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast looked nice and we'll try it next time. Large car park to the rear.
Booked in on Saturday evening, allowing us to ski in the morning before the trip back to England. Thought didn't cross my mind that 3 mates with different surnames would be put in a double bed, this was easily changed by the helpful receptionist who spoke fluent English!
Little bit walk distance(3-5 min) from the Dijon train station but not so far. The opposite side of the city center by the railway. Very standard of Ibis hotel chain in quality and price. Just good for one night stay for transit from Paris to Beaune.
Although this was not directly in the centre - it was very close. Only 10 mins walk to the centre via a cut through the station. It had plenty of parking space behind the hotel. All Ibis offer the same high standard of basic accomodation.
There seems to be a shortage of towels at this hotel Only one (not too large) bath towel per person and when we asked for hand towels we were told there werent any. Pierre the barman was excellent you should amke him manager.
We stayed at Ibis Dijon Gare for two nights, had breakfast both mornings. Convenient location for the centre, very clean hotel, good parking at the hotel. Comfortable bed. Helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Very good breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dijon.
Good and well-placed hotel spoilt by receptionist insisting on checking the card I'd used on the internet by charging €50 and not providing proof it hadn't been out through. Restaurant payment problems
This hotel is a short walk (about 10 minutes) from the heart of downtown, located on the opposite side of the train station. It was easy to find, and very convenient so that after arriving by train, I could immediately check in, get settled, then go explore the rest of the city by foot. What stood out to me was excellent service from the staff, who were able to help me on several occasions during my stay. Although I speak French, I heard them interacting politely and fluently with other customers in English, as well. They have a bar and a restaurant, which was handy on several occasions (however, note that the bar/restaurant is closed on Sunday for lunch/dinner). The room was clean and bright, and the bed was comfortable.
Used for a stopover on the way back from holiday in France as such it is ideal. The location is good for sightseeing and even better if you are travelling by rail. Food was good and reasonably priced.
We had no complaints with our one night stay in Dijon. The room was clean and fairly recently decorated with an excellent shower and very comfotable bed. We ate in te restaurant and that was fine and the staff were helpful even though we threw them a bit because we'd payed on line for the stay but not to eat, but I just paid at the end of the meal as if in a restaurant outwith the hotel.
Don't stay here if they have coach parties as you will be sent to the back of the queue to use the restaurant, we were told to come back after 9pm if we wanted to eat in the restaurant or they suggested that we could try a place in the town. We were told nothing about having to wait when we checked in, most unhelpful.
WE are very happy to give a good review of this hotel as it was a nice place to stay. It is a little out of the way but close to the Gare and the tram and not too far from the town centre. The hotel has a very good restaurant which we choose to eat at rather than in town. Good plate off the day and great service. These Ibis hotels are budget hotels but provide a good, clean, comfortable though smallish room, by Australian standards, and so far have been staffed by very obliging staff so thankyou Ibis You looked after us well.
Stopped over for one night on route to south of France. Clean and functional room, although one of the rooms which was meant to be non smoking had smell of smoke in it. Good choice of food for breakfast. Pleasant and professional staff.
