We were pleased to receive a very warm welcome on arrival. We only stayed for one night. Our room, if a little on the small side, was clean and airy, well furnished, and with a large and comfortable bed. Reasonable food in the restaurant as was the breakfast. Perfectly located to visit Beaune city centre.
There does not seem to be an easy way to access this property by car. This needs to be improved. Otherwise very good location near to city centre. Otherwise fine, except for strong smell of vdisinfectrant-cleaning fluid in breakfast room, probably a one=off?
Beaune is a great place for a stop over on your way South or returning, or a longer stay to visit the vineyards and the local area. The Hotel is situated within walking distance of the main town of Beaune, which offers a great range of restaurants and cafe. The Hotel has a good restaurant offering a varied menu and 'Plat de Jour'. There is comfortable seating are on the terrace and if you are lucky to have good weather good sized outside pool. Some rooms can be a little small but the beds are wonderfully comfortable. The Hotel provides a good buffet breakfast for an additional cost.
We've stayed at this hotel many times mainly because of the fine location, good service, and a reasonable price. This time we noticed that the breakfast choice has been diminished since last time. Unfortunately!
Short walk to Beaune centre. But what's the point of having a nice bar and an extensive sunny terrace if there are no staff available to serve. Toilet seat would not stay in "up" position - not very convenient for gentleman users.
We stayed one night whilst travelling through France on Motorcycles. The hotel was in a perfect location to explore the old town. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful We had secure parking for the motorcycles too Fantastic night.........thank you
We stayed at this hotel twice in June - on our journey to the south and on return. Very helpful staff, lovely terrace outside and a really nice swimming pool. We had to be moved on the first visit as air conditioning was not working correctly (took an hour to sort out - and the '15 minute satisfaction' guarantee doesn't seem to be offered!!) The other room was satisfactory but not as modern. The room on return journey was very nice. They are small but perfectly adequate.' A few minutes walk into centre from here, parking available.
We have used this Hotel many times over the last years and the cleanliness of the room, comfortable beds and attention of the whole staff is wonderful. We will be staying again in July on our way back to the UK.
This hotel was ideally located next to the historic heart of the city. The accommodation was up to the usual Ibis high standards. However, the restaurant (which was not the usual Ibis Kitchen) ruined the enjoyment of our trip. On the first night, the restaurant was catering for a large group and said it could be a while before we would be seated. On arrival, it was not suggested that we reserve. We did get a table shortly after. The waitress did say when she took our order that it could be take some time and we understood this as they were very busy. 45 minutes later my husband's starter (6 snails) arrived. The rest of the meal was okay. The second night we took the precaution of booking a table. The restaurant was very quiet, possibly a maximum of 6 tables occupied. We ordered the same starter and two steaks. We also requested a bottle of wine, a carafe of water and some bread. The wine arrived but I had to remind the waitress about the water. The bread never arrived. It was like déja vu. 45 minutes later no food had appeared but the waitress came to say there would be a further delay with the starter as there was a problem with the oven - it had not been turned on! At this point we had had enough. We offered to pay for the wine but were not waiting any longer for food. We left and found a lovely restaurant round the corner. This is not a frivolous complaint, my husband is diabetic and needs to eat at certain times. Ibis really needs to look at the way the restaurant is run. Until then, our advice is, sleep here but don't eat here.
Clean, quiet and friendly staff make this Ibis an outstanding place to stay. We like the location of this Ibis better than the other one in town because it sits off the main street making it much quieter. Nice breakfast buffet with quality food offerings. Absolutely loved the staff here. they were accommodating, friendly and took the time to answer any questions. The young woman that was in charge of the breakfast buffet area was a hard worker with a good sense of humor. The staff alone makes the a place to stay. The rooms are pretty small compared to American standards but are so efficiently played out that you hardly notice. they were also impeccably clean.
Just back from a wonderful few days at the Hospice Wine Sales. The hotel was situated a 5 minute walk from the main square ideal for all other sights. Will definitely stay there in the future. Also very helpful staff.
We have stayed in the Ibis at Beaune on a number of occasions as stopover on our journeys back from the South of France in both summer and winter. Whilst the rooms are small the hotel is well situated for exploring Beaune and buying wine. The in house restaurant provides good food at reasonable prices. The service is good and the staff are friendly. An added advantage is the swimming pool which provides welcome relaxation after a hot day's driving!
Really enjoyed my stat in this Ibis hotel. Only disappointment was the meal on the last day. the lamb casserole was not good and the potatoes were inedible. However the breakfasts were excellent and the hotel was very good. excellent position.
My wife and I have stayed at the Ibis Beaune Centre Hotel many times and we loved our stay this July on our summer trip. The hotel has an excellent location near the center of historic Beaune and the service and rooms are excellent. The hotel also has free parking on site.
Our stopover in Beaune to break up a long drive from Paris to Nice was greatly anticipated due to the gastronomique excellence in this region! The hotel is nicely located, just outside the city wall, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance and 5 minutes walk to enter into Beaune's centre. It has ample parking. The room is Ibis-standard which is why I trust the brand! Clean, practical, everything one needs for a one night stay!
Only an overnight stop but found the bed uncomfortable. Facilities on the whole ok and staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant food but wine very expensive and not the quality you would expect from that price. Car parking somewhat limited if the hotel is busy.
This is a nice clean hotel and a perfect place to stay if you have a car! The walk into the center of Beaune is short and easy to do. We have never taken dinner-but-it must be good as it is always full.
For the first time in an Ibis hotel network this happens, one bedroom being with unbearable smell of cigarette. The smell of this room and an ashtray were the same thing, so that when we enter the room it was with the windows open and environments aromatizer. When we noticed the situation, we went to the reception and asked to change the room because it was unbearable to sleep with that smell, and we would have to endure this situation for six nights. The reception response to our request was negative unless we pay more to go to another room which they said was bigger; in other words, they were asking us to solve a problem that they had the obligation to solve immediately, as long as there was available room. In short, we paid six daily and stayed in a room that did not have the minimal hosting conditions. Those saying that says that any problem will be solved in no more than 15 minutes is misleading !!!. In addition to the pitiful state of the room, we had to face the bad treatment from the staff at the reception desk.
Efficient reception, good welcome, room clean and satisfactory. Parking close to reception. Restaurant good value for money. Good location near to the old historic part of the town. Carrefour supermarket just 500 or so meters to the South too.
We chose this hotel as it appeared to be well located so we could explore and enjoy the local wine without having to drive anywhere. It was also very reasonably priced. We were very pleased with our decision and stayed 2 nites The room was clean comfortable and completely quiet. The air conditioning was critical as it was so hot and it worked well. Staff were all pleasant and helpful although the service at the bar was slow , but once you went up to the bar there was no problem. The breakfast did not appeal to us so we have no experience with this. We would definitely stay here again.
