Good for an enjoyable relaxing holiday. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too. Only just slightly out of town, although this would unlikely be an issue for holiday folks, as the attractions of Avignon are within walking distance. If arriving by TGV, there is a 5 min. train from the Avignon TGV station to Avignon cenral. Enjoy!
The staff at this hotel is great!. Friendly and efficient. However, this particular Ibis chain is a bit not on par to the others I have stayed. First of all, the window curtain was in dire condition where it has to be taped with velcro that falls all the time. Then, the room has no pot or kettle to even boil any water. Not to mentioned tea or coffee packs to drink. Finally, we were given a new bath towels that were so new and maybe never washed before. So that all our faces and bodies were filled with fiber lint when using the towels. I have never had such kind of Ibis standard before. So I must say that this is so surprisingly bad!
This is the second time we have used this IBIS for an overnight stop. The location is convenient, there is a large open air car park within 15 seconds walk of reception and a small number of parking places in the slip road immediately outside the hotel. Room and bathroom are standard IBIS - simple and comfortable. Don't use this hotel for an extended stay but it is ideal for an overnight stay, close to the town centre with simple access to the autoroute de soleil.
Good, convenient location but no secure parking and very limited street parking nearby. Under staffed in the evening, one poor girl had to do everything, including any food preparation. We are Silver members and know an Ibis sweet bed when we see one and is the main reason why we stay in Ibis hotels on our european travels. Although our hotel bed did have a mattress with a topper, it was not the standard 'sweet' specification and led to my wife having a painful, sleepless night.
Very good service - adequate to the beauty of the local place. Very good accommodation conditions. Nice and supportive staff. The breakfast was surprisingly reach, tasty and good. I would recommend this hotel to my friends who intend to visit Avignon in future.
We found this to be a very nicely appointed hotel with a pleasant outdoor area for taking breakfast. It is very well situated near to the city walls and within easy reach of the railway station. The rooms are small but comfortable. Our room was near to the stairway & lift and was a little noisy but this was not a great inconvenience.
We stayed in the hotel for five days as it was well located (next to avignon wall but plenty of place to park), The rooms were a bit too small for 2 people as there was little space to move and the bathroom could have certainly been a bit bigger. Beds were too close and you could hear the people next door as well as the corridor. Breakfast was very good. Although reception was very good, the floor in the corridors leading to our rooms were a bit grubby and left a bad impression. This is an easy fix. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
This hotel is like a cheap budget hotel. The rooms are tiny and they are not sufficiently sound proofed. If you are driving,it is on such a complicated road junction that you will probably need three goes to get to it.My advice would be to stay at the "Gare" Ibis which has bigger rooms,is quieter and more easily accessible.
Good location 10 minutes walk from the centre of town and couldn't be easier to access by car. Ample free parking outside and at a nearby car park although none of it secure. This is one of the better of the Ibis range and always seems well maintained. Only slight downside is that there is no onsite restaurant although there is a bar. Good value for money and pretty much everything that you would want for a short stay.
I should begin this review by saying that I normally LOVE Ibis hotels. They are generally clean, safe, and affordable, with great staff. However, this Ibis was dirty to the point of being disgusting. I stayed in two different rooms on this trip, and both had three different colors of mold growing in the shower…yuck! One had stained sheets, and another had a sticky spill on the floor. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The worst thing, though, was that I notified management of this issue a week ago, and have received no response. Don't waste your time or money.
A basic Ibis, clean comfortable and cheap. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Not too far from city centre and Central Station. We stayed in the centre of the old town previously which was nice, but expensive. Here we saved 70 euros a night and that paid for dinner and wine. thanks Ibis Avignon Centre Pont de l'Europe, we look forward to returning soon.
If you check out the one way road system you'll find the hotel easily. It is bight & airey with friendly staff. About 10 min walk to the centre of town for eateries & sights. Free parking close by too!
My room was very clean, big, and comfortable. The staff was also very nice and helpful. It was just outside of the walls of Avignon, so it was a quick walk to get into the city. Overall, it was a great visit.
Good hotel, with a very helpful and attentive staff. The room was standard for the chain, but well kept and clean. One of the members of the reception was very thoughtful about giving us advice on cities nearby we could visit.
Stayed for two nights in the Ibis hotel in Avignon. The room was quite small but convenient and very clea. The new Ibis beds are excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good for its price.
Room very cramped, poor food options, plenty of staff but they were not always engaged in looking after customers, too busy talking to each other. When a staff member slipped and fell over at breakfast spilling an orange juice, it was several minutes before it was cleaned up and the area was left unmarked.
Good location, good value, pleasant staff. Parking in front of hotel very limited, but adequate if you can navigate your way round the back. Space is very tight in the rooms but I guess you get what you pay for. Easy walk to centre of Avignon.
sleep very comfortable, quiet, at the right temperature. Few wipes, There are no toothbrushes and toothpaste. Good location for visiting the old city without a car, excellent public parking near the hotel. Good view from the room on the ancient walls of the city, only for the rooms to the north
We booked this hotel during its 40% discount promotion so the room rate is just 58 Euro per night. The hotel is just outside the old city. Walking to the main road of the old city and Center station takes about 15 minutes which is acceptable though not that convenient compared with the other IBIS which is just outside the Center station (but that IBIS does not have promotion and the rate is 97 Euro per night ). Walking to Carrefour which is on the main street takes about 20-25 minutes. Although there is another big supermarket near the IBIS, it closes at 7pm. So we still mainly go to the Carrefour which closes at 10pm. The room space is just IBIS type. The staff are friendly. The bus station to the TGV station is just outside the IBIS across the street which is quite close.
This Ibis was ok, would stay again staff were great, room smelt of smoke was only problem with this stay. Can walk to where ever you want, also from train station. There are 3 ibis hotels in Avignon this one was furthest from rail station but not that far.
