We stayed overnight en-route to The Cote d'Azure. Check-in was straightforward. Receptionist at front desk was friendly, helpful and efficient. Restaurant food for dinner and breakfast was good quality and excellent value. Waiters were friendly and service was good and attentive. Bedroom was comfortable with modern bathroom. A big plus is free peaches to take away at breakfast.
The last time I stayed at this hotel was 12 years ago, and a lot has changed - but the welcome was a good as my previous stay as I remember I had a reasonably sized room on the 3rd floor and enjoyed dinner in an up rated IBIS restaurant which was a bonus as the hotel is 2km out of town by the entry to the autoroute - however no noise issues at all. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool which was very welcoming in those hot days of August. My sleep was sound and uninterrupted - relaxed when I woke and down stairs of a well laid out and sumptuous breakfast IBIS style which I ate outside on the terrace. I would come here again but maybe sooner than the last time!
Just as you would expect from an Ibis hotel, no more, no less Easy to find and right by a motorway toll entrance / exit. No road noise and we were facing that way. Good value meal in the restaurant and plentiful breakfast in the morning
Loyalty card not requested. 3 large groups, had to eat on annexe, unable to reach salad bar. Specials not mentioned. Food not delivered as ordered. Cold shelf not cleaned, new ice added. Fly infested.
The hotel is located at a 5 minute drive north of Sisteron. As it is located behind a roundabout, it doesn't have too much traffic noise even if you have a room with a view on the road. Nice modern facilities for a very decent price. Our AC was on the weak side and the room was very hot at night, other than that it's all good. They also have decent breakfast options on site if you don't feel like driving to the town for coffee in the am.
Everything was good starting from the nice hotel room and also breakfast. The hotel garage was also OK. We come there late and they prepared for us also dinner. So I can say tha I will come to this hotel again.
Booked in advance as mid way between Lyon & Cannes on the Route Napoleon. Plenty of secure parking for our Classic Car, friendly staff, very clean, modern air con room with nice bed & great shower. Restaurant great VFM too. Not far from Sisteron itself but you'd need a car. Close to a supermarket too. Didn't use the pool but it looked lovely. Overall, pretty much all you could want / need.
A comfortable stop on our route home from Italy. Welcoming and pleasant staff. Dog friendly. Normal Ibis rooms clean and comfortable and good bed. Restaurant simple but Ok and open Sunday night! Good value for money.
Have stayed at this ibis several times. It's very conveniently situated for Sisteron town, just a few minutes straightforward drive. As with all Ibis hotels( I think), there's no kettle in the room so take your own if poss if you need tea/coffee last thing or before breakfast. Restaurant ok, reasonable choice of evening meals with very good service. Breakfast is buffet style and lots of variety. Recommend paying in advance if they have this offer as it's much cheaper. Only down side is that it's non refundable if you cancel. Great if you are certain of your dates though.
My wife and I wished to visit Sisteron as a stopover on our way to St Remy. We chose the Ibis Sisteron based on value offered and previous experience with the hotel chain. In terms of service and helpfulness, the staff could not be faulted. Unfortunately, although well-maintained and clean, the rooms and the restaurant /bar are now becoming somewhat dated in appearance and there was a lack of ambience/atmosphere. We did very much enjoyed the meal which we took on the first of two nights that we stayed at the hotel. The food was very well prepared and tasty and, at the cost, it represented outstanding value. However, we chose to eat out the second night simply because there wasn't a second choice on the menu that interested us. It should be noted that the hotel is about 4 kilometres outside of the town. We used our cycles to access the sites so it wasn't a problem for us. However, the heat of the day made the hotel pool especially welcome upon our return. Based on the offer provided by the other hotels at Sisteron, we would recommend the Ibis as the one to choose but only as a stopover/short break. For an extended holiday, something with a little more 'class' would be preferred (though with the inevitable cost implications).
Once again a comfortable stay at Ibis Sisteron with a warm welcome and good accommodation. Breakfast excellent, very good value. We have only one criticism and that is regarding the quality of the meat served in the restaurant. I have tried 3 meat dishes and none of them have been very good. The meat is simply tough and poor quality. That said, you don't have to have it!
