As a place to stay this hotel ticks most of the boxes. Centrally located, plenty of restaurants and bars in the close proximity. Reception staff were very friendly. The only disappointment was the (included) breakfast. Whilst the nominal range of items is good, it was a Fawlty Towers like experience. Muesli and cereals were available but no milk to go with them. The orange juice machine was regularly replenished with oranges but the waste bin was not emptied so the machine did not work.
Great hotel in the town centre but with easy access to major roads. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Good beds, linen etc. Great wifi connection. Secure underground parking nearby. Slight drag with no lift connecting to hotel but there is a pull in spot outside the hotel to unload luggage.
Clean, efficient room. Parking, like most central hotels, was a nightmare. No place to pull up to unload the luggage before given directions to the parking garage. Pleasant staff. Location, once you deal with the parking, can't be best.
The staff greeted very warmly. Not just polite but very friendly. They were extremely helpful as well. Our room was excellent. It was quiet and even though the town was celebrating an annual festival we heard no noise, specifically at night. (The festival was fabulous and extremely interesting, by the way).
It is an older Ibis Styles I'm used to. Breakfast area could be nicer. Location is excellent if you want to visit the city. It is right in the centre. Lot's of local restaurants nearby Meeting the quality standars of an Ibis Styles hotel.
A perfect three star hotel in a great location. Easy to find, easy to access, easy to access Le Puy. You sort of know what you get when you book an Ibis, and there was no surprises and that is good. Comfortable, clean, and a good price and helpful well trained staff. Travelling with two teenage kids and their shared room as big and comfortable. Their mum and dad had a smaller room that was totally adequate for a night or few stop over.
We only had a single night but there is so much to see in Puy. We had a very agreeable room on the third floor facing onto a sunny evening square; we had an evening meal - which the hotel offered to book for us on arrival - in the attached restaurant, pleasant too (funnily an Alsacian restaurant; we came from Alsace!); friendly and helpful staff. The only slight negative is the (pay) garage, away from the hotel and with a somewhat difficult access.
Quite place if you are looking for a calm stay. There are historical places to visit and walk around. Take your jacket because is colder than average. Look for b&b restaurant. It's a good gastronomic menu.
Good value town centre hotel, room had two single beds which were a bit too soft for our liking but others would probably be happy with them. Reception staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. The rooms could do with better soundproofing as we looked onto the fountain square and were 'lucky enough' to have a band playing until 2245 - fine for many, but again when you need a good nights sleep before a long drive the next day not ideal. Breakfast was very good continental style with plenty of choice.
We have stayed in many French B&B's but only a few hotels. This was our first chain hotel. It was clean & easy with excellent service. The matrices were average & the air con wouldn't go cold enough. Windows needed to be closed due to street noise. Room quiet with good wifi. Excellent location for sites & food. Arrival was a bit of a hassle due to traffic & parking. Park outside the hotel on the taxi rank (limited parking) & run in with your bags. Collect the parking entry code for €6.50 from reception & the underground. parking is then easy & secure; we had bikes on the car. Really enjoyed Le Puy. Well worth 24-36hrs to see the towns sites. A good choice of restaurant.
This hotel is in an excellent central location in Le Puy. The staff were informative, and genuinely keen on ensuring we had a decent amount of information about what was on offer in the town, and really helpful and kind! We took our young children on a walking tour to the main church, up the 134 steps through the old town to the summit, and ended up back in a square bounded by fountains and some excellent little restaurants. Great underground parking for the hotel - but ensure you get a code for entry first from hotel reception. You can then pop up with your bags in the square in front of the hotel. Rooms were a good size. We had the family room which was great - only downside was not having a better divider between us and the children's space, only so we could watch TV without keeping the children awake - but that's me nit picking. Breakfast was the usual Ibis Styles fare, but it's reliable, and you know exactly what you're going to get and there's enough of it to keep you going until lunch. Great nights' sleep, so all in, an excellent stay. We will definitely go back again, and probably spend even longer in Le Puy and the surrounding area.
Hotel is a on a main street only 5-10 min walk from train station. Grocery store is on same street just a few mins away, as are restaurants and other stores. Main attractions are also close by. Hotel is across the street from the former Verveine factory. Room was great with carpet, no noise, and the slightly larger size and more amenities as expected from the Styles brand of Ibis.
located in the city core center but price went up since last year due French crisis? front desk are very helpful ,parking not available for tall SUV. Well located for city explorer. Several restaurant nearby and price wise.
