For years we have regularly used Ibis hotels when driving up and down through France. On Friday 8.9.17 my wife and I stayed at Ibis Futuroscope with our dog. At 4.30 our dog needed to go out for a pee, so I dressed and took her down to the foyer. To my surprise there was no one on the desk of either this hotel or the Ibis Budget which adjoins it. Then I found that the front door was locked! After hunting around I found a back door to the Ibis Budget with opened so I took the dog out. After a few minutes I tried to re-enter and found the door locked. So I was locked out, in the carpark, with no one around. What a way to treat guests! Fortunately our bedroom window was open and I eventually managed to shout up to my wife and tell her what had happened and she came down and found a girl in the kitchen cooking breakfast who let me in. This girl said that she is the only one on duty at night for the two hotels with all those clients, and that when she works in the kitchen she has to lock the doors for security. Shocking! How much is Ibis making from all those rooms and doesn't even provide a night watchman? In the morning we complained to the assistant manager who said I should have made a phone call!!!!! Did he really think I was walking round the carpark at 5am with my phone? What would have happened if there was a fire or someone had a heart attack??? We asked that the manager contact us to explain..... Have heard nothing. We conclude that Ibis doesn't actually care and we will be looking for another hotel in future.
Usual high standard of service and cleanliness. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, my husband tells me dinner is good but as it's all meat and fish I give it a miss - I know that vegetarianism is a France problem not an Ibis one!
We stayed here on our way back from Spain as the hotel is just off the motorway. I appreciate it to be more expensive due to the location but the room was so small we struggled to fit two small overnight bags, the dog's bed and feeding bowls into the room without tripping over something! Bathroom was tired looking with a shower over the bath; no huge walk in shower that is the norm in the Ibis hotels in France and Spain. We decided not to eat in the restaurant as they were serving a buffet that looked very good but we only wanted a small meal so ordered a snack in the bar. Big mistake.....Steak hache with parmentier potatoes for 12 euros turned out to be a very small thin shepherds pie and chicken with spring vegetables en papillote 13.20 euros - 3 small slices of chicken and some luke warm vegetables! Not very good value. Other aspects of the hotel were good i.e. helpful staff, nice surroundings with plenty of green open space for the dog to explore but not good enough for us to return in the future.
Very clean rooms.Quiet surroundings area. Perfect location for visiting not only Futuroscope, but also Loirs Valley castles. Futuroscope and a commercial center is just 5 min. by foot. Rich and delicious buffet.
We chose this hotel as it is just off the motorway en route to Le Havre. We found it expensive but our usual Ibis Budgets etc did not accept more than one pet per room and we have 2 dogs. Being almost double what we usually pay, were therefore disappointed in the size of the rooms, we only just fitted in! Other than that, it was ideal for dogs - plenty of open grass for them to run around in and they were welcome in the bar and restaurant. Ideal. Even at this price, would stay again with the dogs.
My stay here was not up to the standard I usually enjoy from this group of hotels. The room was 'tired' and in need of updating. The worst aspect though was the attitude of the bar staff. We were late in arriving but as the bar serving meals was open for at least another 2 hrs did not expect the feeling of being a complete nuisance in requesting a glass of wine and a simple snack. Service was very poor.
This is a well located hotel with comfortable rooms and excellent public areas. It has a good sized restaurant with quality buffet style food. The staff are extremely helpful and we will definitely be returning.
This is one of the better Ibis hotels. It is airy and spacious compared to others. It has plenty of free parking and is very handy for a stop to and from France. We have only used the restaurant for breakfast and it was very good.
We have stayed at this hotel before and we' re satisfied. This time we stayed at the older part of the hotel and we are way less satisfied. The room was extremely small and it was hard to get into the bed at one side (very narrow space between wall and bed), the bed was like a hammock with pits. Furthermore it's fine with regard to location (just a minute of the highway) and offers ample parking.
Very convenient being right next to the motorway. Nice large room, no noise from the motorway. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Good buffet evening meal, and good breakfast. Small pool available but didn't use.
We have used this hotel a number of times taking friends and family with us it has a good access and is close to the park as well we have always found the staff to be helpful. The food is very good and a good choice
