Due to a delay on my flight and subsequently missing my bus then a 45 min wait for a train and taxi, I arrived at the hotel at 01am couldn't get any food. NOT even a dispenser with any sort of food and only fizzy drinks or water, not even hot water for me to make my own tea. Didn't start to well then found only a sheet on my bed, not even a blanket in the cupboard so frozen at 4am had to put a shirt on to stay warm, heating didn't work all the time I was there and no blanket left at anytime not impressed at all. That's with out the fact that the shower had brown marks all the way round the sealant and the prostitutes trying to tap u up when you walked down the street to the restaurants . the sound proofing was also awful and all I heard was trucks going up and down the street next to the hotel all night
I love Ibis because you know what to expect world-wide. Front Desk staff was lovely, location was convenient for us. We chose this hotel to spend the night and drive into Venice for the day. I did feel though they felt short on few things: our bathroom light was flirking, when flushing the toilet water would spike out of the bowl, there was no blanket on bed and pillow was very uncomfortable. It's always frustrating when you encounter a problem in a hotel - We didn't feel like complaining as we were here just for two nights. I read some comments stating they don't offer toiletries, but they did have one bottle that was everything (body and hair wash - which is better than nothing). Towels are very basic and cheap. But hey, never expect much from a budget hotel. You get what you pay for.
The hotel was very good, clean but the behaviour of one of the staff was very bad. We book our room since May 2017 and we didn’t realise that it was a special promotion for couples between 18-26 years old. Ok it was our mistake but my husband made a joke to the lady at the reception. Oh! My god she start shouting, that we should pay more attention, it wasn’t her fault if we don’t pay the proper attention etc etc,
Online check-in was offered but it did not work. We could not find out why. The hotel is clean and modern, an average Ibis hotel. It is quite far away from Padova centre and there is hardly any public transport so the only way to visit the city is by car. However it is terribly difficult to park in Padova. There is a lot of traffic in the area and the outdoor airconditioners are quite noisy so you cannot keep the window open at night. Breakfast is mediocre and the restaurant menu is very poor. At the same time there is an excellent supermarket close to the hotel where you can purchase fine Italian meat and sausage.
Lovely clean rooms, but unfriendly staff, the hotel was busy, however this doesn't excuse the fact that they ran out of breakfast items in the morning, failed to replace items and served cold pancakes which should have been heated on the warmer. Very disappointing. If you are looking for a quick stop over then this is a good place to stay to drop into Venice, but not a place to spend any significant time!
Not really good!! Room was plenty of mosquitos, AC was not blowing warm air and fan motor was noisy. Theses 2 facts killed c ompletely my rest and day after I had important meeting....really disappointed with this hotel service
When arriving late at 1:00am..to loose 30 minutes while parking (out of use) and checking is not acceptable.First thing should be going to sleep. Other Big problem was during check out , no identity Cardona was viven back...Then horrible problem at the Airport.
our bed was not straight, I was constantly falling to the side of my husband. The room was so tiny and with little light. It was not possible to read. I felt like I am in the box. For that many it should be at least with breakfast.
The Hotel is like almost every IBIS we've been. Good service, clean rooms. The breakfast was a little less opulent as in ones. My personal impression on the "pre-check-in" service: This service is suggesting that the check-in will be fast. It suggests that everything is prepared on your arrival. On my arrival I had to wait at the "fast lane" for my turn. The receptionist explained my that the key was ready but I had to fill out the registration form. Thus the pre-check-in, which takes you a few minutes to fill out, saves you 30 seconds on your arrival. For me this service is useless.
My comments are reserved, they need to learn a lot more in hospitality. No kettle in room. Did not allow to check in till 3 pm inspite of being a preferred guest. Poor amenities. Disappointed with the total stay
usual good efficiency cleanliness and helpfulness from staff and facility. Finding the hotel always a challenge without an Iphone or similar. Too far out to walk into town or railway station but many car parks to use. very reasonable and quick to get to Venice by train. Would use again
Ibis Padova is located in the idustrial and business area of the Padua city. Hotel is rather best option for those who travel with car. For those who prefer public transportation is not best choice. Municipal buses go only at working days. In weekends from railway station to hotel a taxi is the only one option. Travel with taxi takes around 15 minutes from the city. The reception staff is very friendly, helpful. By arrival everything for prepared for me: room, vouchers for drink. The receptionist knew my loyalty card numbers, so there was no necessity to present them. Rooms are furnished like typical Ibis. I would like to mentioned that it is worth to buy by the reservation through internet the meals with reduced price. Food in this hotel is great. I had a chance to try real Italian food. I would like to mention that breakfast did not satisfy me. It was only some bread, cheese, ham, eggs, and sweet pastry. As for me it was too little choice. Generally, i recommend this Ibis hotel for travelers with car. This is the one cheapest chain hotel in the Venice area.
The hotel is not too bad, but the service by the night staff on the 8th of April was so horrible, that it ruined completely the whole stay. We have booked and prepaid 5 rooms (reservations # DFLBTQKD and DFLBTWMS), four of us came on 7th of April and the fifth on the 8th of April late in the evening. The gay at the reception was unable to find the reservation, was totally unhelpful and rough. He screamed at us, was threatening of calling the police if we don’t go away and was unwilling to resolve the problem with reservation regardless the fact that the stay was prepaid well in advance. Finally the girl came from the back room and solved the problem, but we spent at the reception more than one hour. No one of staff ever apologized to us. They just threw the key at the reception desk. That was my last stay with Ibis.
Everything was perfect. The location free parking the stuff was pleasant. I suggest you to go to Venice from there. Also there is china town for business travelers. They have restaurant that cook good pizza and pasta.
Company wants to earn inside someone else problems. I tried to cancel my reservation 30 minutes after i payed the reservation. 30 minutes is enogth to full fill all the apartments? As a heavy user of accor hotels, I expect a little more compreensive managers or at least, as i didn´t use the apartment, a little discount. because I didnt spent resources of the company. even potencial of earning, due to quick response in the cancelation. I felt not listened.
Very good Ibis hotel, a bit dislocated but still, for the great rate that we paid, we couldn't ask for a central location. Staff more than pleasant, beds usual Ibis perfection. Nothing more to add but the usual: "keep it up"!
Everthing was as supposed to be. We spent only one night there on our way to another cities but everything was ok. Hotel easy to find, with enough place to park a car. Also very clean with very friendly service.
The bathroom and bed sheets were clean. The walls in bedroom had a lot of dust. It seemed they didn't do a deep clean for years! Average breakfast and bad quality. For wifi connection you have to ask in reception to give you a generated password. Wifi signal was very good. Staff was polite.
The hotel is clean and the reception staff welcoming. The room was just as expected in a good way. The restaurant/bar staff was not so friendly. One major negative point for me was staff across F&B and Reception wearing black jeans with their mobile phones in the back pocket both of which looks not professional, irrespective of the star rating of the hotel...
The reception was very nice once arriving at the hotel. However, on some GPS, the hotel address is not an easy one, and should rather use the coordinates to find the hotel. The hotel staff was welcoming, except for one bar attendant, who refused at each time to provide with hot water, which as per the receptionist was free. Its difficult when you have babies and need hot water every day and find lazy people around who do not want to serve you the basic needs.Thats disappointing.
