Nice staff, good service and Hotel room. Good located not far from city centre and beach. Only one bad piont, verry smal Lift not suitable for large family. When manny people use it you have to wait to long. The rest is fine in the Hotel
Point 1 My booking was for a family room which was the most expensive. It looked like the other rooms with a double bed and double sofa bed. point 2 On leaving I asked the reception to arrange a taxi for me and my friend. Thee lady (with an amputated arm) asked me which airport and I told her Rotterdam , via the conference centre House of Europe. 1) the taxi driver seemed to think he was only picking up 1 person. 2) He told me that the fare would be 67e. We argued with him that our previous quote was 37e He was adamant that it was a fixed fare to the airport. 3) on the way to HOE he told me that he would have to drop me off as he had some things to do, but he would arrange another taxi to take me on to the airport. 4) Sure enough, another taxi was there to take me on but unknown to me the first driver told the second driver to take me to Amsterdam. 5) The trip signpost didn't seem right and after a while I asked the driver if we were going to Rotterdam. He said no he was told Amsterdam. So he turned around and tried to get me to Rotterdam in time. Unfortunately we arrived 15 mins after the gate had closed. The plane had not taken off but they would not let me through. 6) the taxi company was HTMC. The first driver should be sacked. Peter Wildin
Everything was fine apart from internet access, wifi did not allow access to a series of sites simply because some of them had advertisement plug ins. Anyway, maybe a reconsideration of access policy would be mutually beneficial.
Great location. Hotel is close to the beach and not far from city centre (30 minutes walking or 8 miinutes by tram). Wifi is very poor. Signal keeps going on and off. Room was not properly cleaned. I could still see dust and water spots on the floor.
Very disappointed as I travel every week to the Hague to work, after two months and being a usual client at IBIS hotels with a IBIS Business card. My last experience was BAD, the standard room is VERY SMALL. there is not point to have the ibis business card. I am not going to book any room at his hotel as the quality of the rooms is not as good as the IBIS in the centre of Hague. a very disappointed experience.
The hotel is not too expensive in this time of the year. You must count on soms 21 E parking cost in addtion to the room prices. It is well located on a few walking minutes from Scheveningen's main attractions. For us, it was the seaside boulevard and the beach, for other it may be the Kurhaus of several casino's in the vicinity.
This Hotel is in a great location, just across the road from the Beach with its promenade and lots of restaurants etc and it has a tram stop right outside too. The Tram will take you right into Den Haag and on to Delft if you like. Parking is a bit limited, we had to park in the Casino Car Park which cost 19.80 E Now, the staff member on reception must have been the coldest most aggressive and disinterested person I've ever met. I walked in, and she was dealing with another guest, I couldn't believe the way she was talking with her, then it was my turn. No smile, no indication that she was interested in what she was doing, and the parking instructions...well...."do you want to park here or not?" I was speechless. The previous guest that had just left reception was till nearby and I remember saying 'is it me, or is the receptionist cold?" the guest said it was most certainly the receptionist as she had the same feeling. I complained to another staff member later on and she said that yes, they were aware of this persons attitude and she had been spoken with about on another occasion already. So the sign on the door says 'We've been expecting you' Didn't feel like it.
An okay hotel for an okay price. Just don't do the buffet breakfast, which is extraordinarily overpriced for what is made available. If you go down to the beach restaurants, you can have a very nice breakfast for less than 1/2 the price. Parking also seemed overpriced, but was convenient once you figured out how to get in to it. Plan on parking on the sidewalk in front of the hotel until you register and can park. The tram stop is just across the street, so just plan to leave your car and take it into The Hague or even to Delft.
My 3rd stay in this hotel and not my last one! Hotel is modern and provides all you need on a short trip. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, 5 min walk from the beautiful beach, the Kurhaus, the Pier, Boulevard, Theater, Cinema's and casino. Many excellent restaurants on the boulevard. Also close to The Hague with many museums. The hotel has a small private pay parking area, excellent breakfast and a small bar.
Great location but this was the most basic Ibis hotel we have stayed in, out of a several such stays in number of different countries. Very small room, unheated bathroom (and bathroom so small that the clean towels were placed by staff on the toilet seat!). However, on the plus side, the staff were fine and everything was clean.
i came to Scheveningen to stay for only one night and i was looking for a cheap place to stay. The Ibis hotel was perfect for me. The hotel is very simple and i didn't have the best room situation but i couldn't complain for the price i paid. The situation of the hotel is perfect as it's only a few minutes walk to the sea, beach, shops and tram.I will def. recommend this hotel.
It was my first visit to the Haag and was very happy with the staff assistance, Sleep was very good I spite of the new surroundings. The rooms were very good and location excellent. Highly recommend the hotel .
The hotel staff are always very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located only minutes from the beech and if you like a jog or brisk walk its the perfect place. The rooems are very spacious and clean on arrival. Unfortunately the same attention is not given to the high standard on a daily basis. Although its not terrible some rubbish is simply not cleared away Overall I think this is a great hotel and would not hesitate recommending it to anyone.
This hotel is located very close to a very popular beach in the Netherland. Besides the excellent location, it has pretty large room, comparable to Mecure, with a safe in the room. The service people were also very polite, like most of the Dutch people. Therefore, I had an enjoyable stay there. I would not hisitate to stay there again. The only improvement needed is that they missed the recording of my accor point, which waste my time in making correction after my trip.
For a night or two on an business trip is a good place to stay, good value and staff are very friendly. The location is ideal being not far from The Hague and you are in between Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
I appreciate the matured behaviour of the reception. They understood our requirements and made to provide by accommodating with what best they have. They understand that it is not money but meeting our requirements within their reach is what is essential for a customer.
Stayed in a few Ibis Hotels now and they have certainly made a step up in the last couple of years, positioned now above the likes of Travelodge and Premier Inn. True to the advert they use, the bed is ultra comfortable, possibly the best I have slept on in a hotel. Nice area, although pricey for food. Would stay again
I have stayed several times in the Hague centre but this time we decided we would stay at Scheveningen which is only a very short tram ride from the centre of the Hague. The hotel is alongside the road but very close to the beach and all its facilities. We found it very comfortable and the staff exceptionally helpful. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and of course the trams to the Hague centre or Delft run from around the corner. The tram to the centre also passes the miniature Netherlands at Madurodam so this is also convenient for families. Scheveningen can be very crowded, but a walk along the dunes can bring you to very quiet parts of the lovely sandy beach.
