In summary, we would prefer to assess this hotel as being good, rather than average, but it does not quite reach to standard of being very good. The facilities are too limited for that.
We would describe the roomsat the Ibis Saint Malo Plage as being compact, but adequate. They were small, but comfortable, with all the amenities one would expect from an Ibis hotel. The person in the room above us seemed to walk about wearing hob nail boots, but that was our bad luck!
The sea view from the room was excellent, although, unfortunately, we arrived after dark and left soon after dawn, so did not have an opportunity to properly enjoy it.
Checking in on arrival was fine and check out was easy and speedy. The breakfast service was good and the dining room staff member was friendly and helpful.
Conveniently located for the ferry terminal, with several restaurants nearby, including an Italian almost next door, where the food was enjoyable, well prepared and served.
If staying overnight in St Malo again, when on our way home from France, we are likely to go back,
