room was smelly and felt unfresh - fruit bowl at breakfast was not replenished so there was no fruit left having take away fruit was ok but quality of fruit left something to be desired Hotel is centrally located in the town a bit surprise dot have top pay for hotel car parking
The hotel is in a really good location and all of the staff were helpful and pleasant The breakfast was very good but it's a bit disappointing that food is not available at other times in the hotel Although probably not in your control the entrance to the underground parking is not easy
Overnight stay on journey to southern Spain. The hotel is located in the centre of the city making it ideal to walk to explore the sights, restaurants and bars. Room was clean and well appointed, nice walk-in shower, staff friendly and helpful. We did think it was a bit expensive even though it is in the centre of the city and please Ibis invest in some better plastic glasses that don't split just getting them out of the wrapper. Also the satnav coordinates given on the website take you to a square behind the hotel with no access to the hotel, we suggest you use the address for locating.
Recently refurbished rooms meant this was a very pleasant Ibis to stay in. Everywhere was beautifully clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very reasonable with a good selection of foods on offer. Car parking was secure and underground - some spaces were pretty tight though.
City centre hotel close to bars and restaurants. Friendly staff, good size room and excellent Indian restaurant just around the corner! Underground parking makes it very convenient. Buffet breakfast good value
On arrival after a full day in the car coming up from Andorra, despite having paperwork that confirmed we had a reservation and that we had paid in advance, Receptionist could not find our reservation on her computer and would not accept our paperwork. After about 20 mins she went through a folder on her desk, and found Ibis own confirmation paperwork and eventually we were given a room. Said room was right at the top with works directly below. Being fresh air fiends we prefer an open window, but noise from said works made this impossible until the workers went home at 2.00a.m. The room was small and poorly equipped. Breakfast was also poor. As a town Chateauroux was lovely with plenty of choice in eating places.
Easy to find and excellent underground parking. The rooms are as you would expect from Accor, very good value for money, very comfy beds, great showers and all round excellent accomodation. Particular praise must go the the receptionist who spent a considerable time despite dealing with other customers in finding us another Accor hotel for the next stage of our journey home. We are now dedicated Accor clients
Always a good place to stop while going around France Disappointed with price as was not able to book far enough ahead to qualify for reduced rate. Chateauroux is an ideal place to stop over for Brits going North or South. Great advantage having its own secure underground garage. Staff always pleasant and helpful
I stay in Ibis/Accor hotels all the time on business so get to know the drill pretty well. Always safe, clean and serviceable. This one is a bit better than average because the standard of service was so good. A personal touch always goes a long way. The breakfast was better than usual too.
This hotel is positioned almost in the centre of the town. We stayed there about 5 years ago and it is now not the same hotel as before. A old run down unwelcoming hotel it now appears to be. There is no longer a restaurant as before where you can eat dinner, no character, no homeliness, In fact it is the worst Ibis we have ever stayed in, in the past ten years, To make matters worse the hotel reception is offering guests a 10% discount in selected restaurants in town on production of your room card. To my mind a potential security risk, as if and when you give your room details it would give any opportunistic thief a perfect opportunity to rob your room while you are out dining. My only advice is stay away from this hotel,
The hotel is ideally situated, a bit shabby but acceptable, could do with a make over. Eat in the Piano bar, the worst meal we have had in France( or anywhere come to that) and we lived in France for 16 years, my advice avoid it like the plague
