No more than 10 minutes away from all the things I consider important in Southampton, so it has the best location and fairly reasonable pricing. The staff are just so nice and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble - well done guys! Accor you need to recognise this and reward your staff accordingly, as I would hate to see standards slip because you don't look after your staff as well as they do your customers! I will always syat here when I am in Southampton.

Good location, with parking, as in walking distance to theatre, and close to Ikea for shopping and very good value pre-theatre supper. Room and service comfortable and efficient; you get what you pay for. Personally don't enjoy constant loud music in reception/bar area, and never sure whether it is intended for benefit of customers or staff? One bedside reading light was not working; on reporting it on departure this was immediately noted with an apology.



This particular hotel used before due to fab location and staff were fantastic! The room we had looked as though it had been updated recently. However nowhere is it stated that you have to pay £7.00 a day for parking which can put the cost of your stay up considerably depending on how long you are planning to stay! For that reason a star deducted!

When we arrived we waiting for about 10 mins at an empty reception desk until we could check in we were then given no information, not even our room number, we had to find in badly scribbled number on the card. We had no clue what time to check out so had to ring reception in the morning and waited about minutes in 2 occasions until someone answered, we also asked if they had any toothpaste as we had forgotten some, after trying to call down but with no answer, I went down to reception to ask and the guy was rude and unhelpful and said they didn’t have any. The room itself was fine, fairly clean and functional, shame about the awful service and overpriced tiny room.



My husband and I stay in Ibis Southamptm (H1039) regularly each year and find the rooms very comfortable. We have found the staff extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend this hotel.



A big thank you to all the staff at Ibis Southampton for being so kind and helpful during my family's recent stay at the hotel last week. It was very much appreciated by all of us and gave us a trip to remember.

The hotel is well placed for the city centre, West Quay shopping centre and for cruises if you are sailing from Southampton. It is in a triage of 3 Accor Hotels all differently priced on quality and the Ibis is your mid-range. Plenty of car parking and the service in the hotel is always great; never had reason for complaint and have stayed there many a time.



You know what to expect when you book an Ibis - good, functional and clean accommodation at a reasonable price. No disappointments on that front plus very friendly and helpful staff. Very pleased and expectations met!



Needed somewhere cheap to stay for a works night out. Other, preferred hotels were full, so went for the Ibis. Rooms are basic, but relatively clean. Some dubious stains on the cheap brown carpet, but the bathroom was clean enough. I had a room on the back of the hotels - I'm told these are the quietest. Bed was hard so didn't sleep particularly well but it was OK for a night. Wasn't particularly cheap (£77) and didn't think it was particularly good VFM compared to other hostelries. I guess that's why the Ibis has rooms available and others didn't.



Check in very slow even though I had checked in online. Very clean room but bathroom a bit dated. Lovely comfy bed. Do object to having to pay for parking puts the price you pay for hotel up. However would stay again.



As a Platinum member I stay many nights in Accor Group hotels and particularly in Southampton for business. Our room this stay was freezing and the heating not working. We had to ask for a second duvet but it was still cold. On check out we reminded reception that the heating was not working in our room. I was disgusted when the gentleman on reception said “it’s not that time of year to have the heating on - it’s not allowed by management”. I was incensed by this response. It’s early November and during the night the temperature had dropped to 1.9 degrees and had been at 2.0 degrees for in excess of 5 hours 12.00 till 5.00.



This hotel is located just near the Station and the Mayfair Theatre - 25 minutes walk from St Mary's - and close to major shopping and restaurants. ideal location with plenty of parking and easy access.

I needed a comfortable and reasonably priced hotel for a one-night stay in Southampton. Ibis Southampton provided this. The location is good, within walking distance of the centre of Southampton. Parking was provided for an extra £7, although this could be included in the price of the room. Staff were efficient and polite.

We used ibis after our apartment cancelled on us last minute, the hotel was in a great location, close to train station and all shops! Great hotel but the rooms were very basic so only recommended for a short term sta, however the price did reflect this as we got a great deal for a 3 night stay including breakfast and a 5pm check out which was great as we had an evening flight back home! Overall I was impressed with the hotel and would stay again for a future shopping trip.



Hotel was entirely average. Quality not poor but not good either. Staff tried hard but were ill-informed and inexperienced. Food OK. Menu choices very limited. Breakfast poor. Scrambled eggs were obviously bought in ready prepared and microwaved. Bacon grossly over-cooked.

Clean and comfortable room, plus parking, with straight forward online check in/out. Reasonable breakfast included. Hotel within convenient walking distance of Mayflower Theatre, and Ikea and other stores.



All good - breakfast good (apart from smoked bacon, no other choice) - Room clean but only problem was kettle lead could not reach socket from table - did not have this problem previously - had to boil the kettle on the window sill (room 121)



The hotel was great,good location for all the shops and its own car park.The staff are very helpful and friendly,i would stay there again no problem.There is a TGI friday next door where we had a meal in the evening and had a few drinks,that was a very nice place to drop into.



Have stayed many times and as always was excellent value. Staff are welcoming,friendly and efficient. Room was clean and well presented. Breakfast good and plentiful. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff.



Had problem with my room as the air conditioning was making funny noise all night and I did not get sleep, room phone also not working so could not call reception and did not want to go all the way down at 10.30 pm when i was already in bed and really tired. To date I am yet to receive a call back for all the calls I have made or reply to my emails from manager or head office.
