The stay was enjoyable with very friendly and helpful staff. Could not fault the hotel or the service. The hotel is centrally situated providing easy access to restaurants and tourist areas. Especially recommend visiting the Abbaye aux Homme and the Chateau.

Do not have a room at front of hotel as the chance of being kept awake til the early hours is very great. I have stayed here twice and both times was badly disturbed by rowdy groups in the street below

We have used Styles quite a bit this last 3 years. We have become used to what we thought to be a better quality hotel. This hotel is not up to the standard. No bar no restaurant poor decor! Good staff!

This is a brilliant city which I wish I had stayed longer in. The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre and is stylish and just right. Good rooms, and welcoming staff. No bar on site which is a shame for that final drink after a long day. Slightly noisy in the evening with the window open and without air-conditioning this was a bit annoying. But the noise died down and it was a great night sleep after that!

This hotel is clean and well decorated we found the reception staff to be very helpful and friendly. There is a public underground carpark right next to the hotel. Breakfast was nice and fresh and kept well stocked by the staff on duty. The rooms are slightly smaller than we are used to but still very well maintained and clean. The street outside the hotel is a little bit rustic but don't let that put you off booking this hotel. Only minor points to consider is there isn't any aircon in the rooms and the rooms that we saw didn't have net curtains. we would stay at this hotel again when in the area and recommend it to others.

The right choice to stay in caen during high season . Good service , breakfast with many different food , nice and kind personelle . Parking at 1'5 euro per night ... highly recommended for biz . Price around 80-100 euros . Best quality cost ratio

It's a good hotel as per Ibis standard in the center of Caen; not so easy to be found, but it may be my fault that I still not use a GPS :-) And also Caen is a nice city that it worth a visit. I hadn't breakfast in the hotel since I didn't want to eat a lot, but usually in all the Ibis is good.

Hotel is located in a good central position but with limited parking near by, all on a meter. Shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel is clean and tidy, though our room smelt of smoke?? Noisy bar just down the road kept us awake till late, but overall a normal nice clean Ibis. Friendly and helpful staff as always. Wonderful bed!

The hotel is very well located in the city of Caen and makes an ideal base from which to travel to/from the nearly D-Day beaches and related cemeteries and memorials. An adjacent underground car park is ideal and the overnight rate is very good value. Hotel is relatively basic, but the breakfast is plentiful and the staff pleasant and helpful.

Really good central location. Parking is on street and free from 1900-0930. You can pay up to 1.5 euro to extend the ticket to 1045 the next day but no separate hotel carpark. Room was small but clean. Breakfast was a good buffet but one morning there wasn't any staff present and the food ran out. reception staff were very helpful. Overall - good value for money and good standard Ibis.

For an IBIS room, you can get a clean room at a competitive price in a city centre location. Thats what it says on the tin and thats exactly what you get from this hotel, so if you want a city centre hotel in Caen, you cant beat this one. Only caveat is that the hotel frontage (being in the city centre) is also very close to a bar open until 3.00 AM. The hotel is well sound-proofed, so no problem for most of the year, but if its summer and the temp is 34C, then you need to leave the windows open and if you dont like the 'Macarenas' at 3.00 A, then make sure you ask for a room at the back. Otherwise, this hotel is just right!

We had booked 2 nights but cancelled the second, mainly due to the fact that the hotel was too noisy and the rooms too hot. Our room opened on to a flat roof so we couldn't open the window wide, and the partial opening didn't work, so we got really hot. There were loud people talking into the early hours, and some traffic noise. There was a horrid lump of hair in the shower plug... If this had been a budget hotel, we would have given it a higher rating, but it wasn't up to the normal Ibis quality.

Hotel in Caen met all our expectations. Our daughter, who joined us late on in the holiday was booked in at the last minute, was given an adjoining room - very handy. The bed was the most comfortable one I've slept in in recent years and staff friendly and always helpful. Would recommend it and use it again. Location right in middle of city centre and very convenient for shops and restaurants.

The smallest Ibis room my partner and I have ever stayed in. The receptionist checked our passports when we arrived(Do they still have to do that? First time in a long time). she wasn`t terribly friendly and pointedly asked if we wanted one bed. When we got back home, lo and behold they hadn`t credited our Accor Points, the only Ibis on our trip not to do so. Does she have an agenda?

Stayed at the Ibis Caen - Paul Doumer which is ideally located for staying in the city. My stay was perfect and also that of my group. Plenty of night life and resturants with 5 mins walk from the hotel. Being English, my only request would be to extend the continental breakfast offering to include some hot elements...eggs, bacon/ham etc..... Would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a central location. Car Parking at €3-5 per night was very convenient. Overall it was a great stay at the Ibis.

This is a hotel that I would recommend as being good value for money and well placed in the centre of Caen. It has convenient underground parking - though not for mini bus over 1.9m height. Front rooms over the street are noisy at night, though the rooms overlooking the courtyard are very quiet. It is easy to find minor faults at any location, but overall I would say that this is a quality Ibis hotel with very friendly staff.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the Ibis in Caen. We arrived a day late, and our reservation was still honored. The hotel was close to many restaurants and stores. I especially liked the breakfast, which had some surprixing items, such as a dessert which is typical of Normandy, as well as a large choice of foods. I would stay there again.

Stayed one night at this Ibis. In France for one night only while on a Brittany Ferries special offer return trip between Portsmouth and Caen. Hotel had everything we've come to expect from Ibis hotels. Location really is central and gives easy access to sights, shops etc. Friendly welcome, comfortable bed and reasonable choice of breakfast food. Sleep quality affected by room temperature which was very hot. Turned the thermostat down but didn't really make any difference. Plug of bath/shower needed clearing - water very slow to run away, leaving soapy residue which made surface slippery.
