Customer Reviews

Partnership with

This was our second stay here and won't be the last, the hotel is very well presented, clean and modern with friendly efficient staff. The location is excellent for Greenwich, for the tourist trails and transport links, more than enough restaurants and bars within minutes walk.

Room was OK although on small side. Car Parking is expensive, Breakfast is an extra cost but takes place in a Café Rouge restaurant (next door). In a good location for the town centre, museum, park, the Cutty Sark and restaurants.

We recently stayed for two nights for a leisure trip. Everything about the hotel and the staff was excellent. You know what you get when you book an Ibis, good standard and great staff at a reasonable price. The one aspect that was above the usual was the breakfast which was served in the adjoining Cafe Rouge. Great selection freshly cooked.

Picked this hotel as it was close to the o2 and was great value. The hotel was perfect with a 5 min taxi ride away. The resteraunt is a Cafe Rouge wihich has good food for the hungry traveller or there are other places to eat within a short walk.

the staff and the accommodation was good as always. I use the IBIS Greenwich always on my trips to London and have always been welcomed and satisfied with this house. One is just a short way away from the city and the O2. Greenwich has so much interesting sights and I personally have a lot of friends living in this area.

I don't like the new mobile phone booking in system. It didn't work for us because the shy novice didn't know how to cope with the fact that our room had been given to someone else earlier in the day. The manageress asked if we really wanted a twin room and when we said yes offered a triple without explaining that the single was not a real bed and suitable only for a child not an adult with a back problem but we had a gig to get to and no time to go back and argue and decided to try and make do with the double bed. The room was very cramped even before the chair was unfolded to make the single bed. She did offer us free parking (£15). The amount I was charged was more than what I had booked for but less than the £15 so again in view of the time I let it go. We were also given a voucher for breakfast that had prices on it so I assumed that it was to get access to the café next door and we would have to pay as I had not booked room and breakfast included. When I asked for a 2 cups of tea at the counter when we got back from the gig they looked frankly surprised when I asked for cold milk to go with the black tea bags we had chosen.... Luckily the bed was very comfortable and we had walked and hour and a half to the O2 and back so we slept well and didn't have to resort to the child's bed. In the morning we went down and found the café next door for breakfast, and I handed over the voucher, we ate and it was well cooked but not very warm. When I offered to pay they said that we had a voucher so it was already paid for... When we booked out and the manageress asked if it was ok I said yes on the basis that we had slept well and I assumed that she had given complimentary breakfast as well as parking to compensate for having given our room to someone else. When we got home and I looked at the invoice online it turned out that the room was charged a bit cheaper than the one I had booked but that they had charged us for 2 breakfasts without actually asking whether we wanted breakfast in the hotel..... All in all, I would normally rate Ibis hotels really highly, but on this occasion there were problems with communication and staff training and management.

Despite the room being rather expensive (£135 per night) we were also charged an extra £15 just to park in their own car park and had to pay extra again for 2 breakfasts despite the fact the provider was offering 2 for 1

I have stayed in this property many times since 2007 and you generally get value for money. As an Accor silvercard holder I get welcome drink every time I stay here and occasionally would get 5% discount on rooms. The hotel is attached to Cafe Rouge from where you can have meals. There are many restaurants around the hotel should you choose to eat out. Staying here is ideal if you want to go Canary Wharf, Greenwich Maritime Museam or O2 arena. It easily accessible by public transport, both DLR and buses. I highly recommend this property for people, who have engagements around south east London.

Ibis has the standard so it's always safe. But this one has apart from a great location, great team of staff as well!!! Had a fantastic stay and spent a lot of time also on Cafe Rouge just attached to it.

The Ibis in Greenwich is a convenient location for exploring Greenwich or even travelling into London. By the DLR (Doclands Light Rail) you can get to Bank in no more than 30 minutes, or catch a Southeastern train to Cannon Street. Note that at present the mainline trains are not stopping at London Bridge so you can't change there for Charing Cross. But don't expect too much from the Ibis if you haven't stayed at one before. The ensuite bathroom is actually a bathroom "pod" in one corner of the room containing the shower, toilet and basin. The towels are just adequate (ask for an extra as you may need one to dry yourself after drying your hair, if there's only one per person provided), and the toilet paper is a much cheaper (thinner) variety than you'd find in a better class of hotel. The room does include tea and coffee-making, which many hotels don't do. The cost of breakfast has increased substantially this year. Neither the continental nor the full English is worth it. Breakfast is provided by voucher at Cafe Rouge, which adjoins the hotel. You will find much better breakfast fare and better value in one of the nearby cafes.

A real pleasure to stay at Ibis London Greenwich. In front of the University of Greenwich. Directly connected to underground DLR and Southern railway station. All Staff are real kind. Breakfast at Bistrot Rouge is fine. A really pleasant stay.

Great value for money, great location in the heart of Greenwich. Very clean hotel and stylish room. Was greeted warmly by reception the moment I arrived. The only negative is that the hot water in the shower wasn't of a consistent temperature and the water would either be too cool or scorching hot! I didn't eat breakfast there, so can't comment

Good Value clean and comfortable within easy walking distance of central Greenwich Only down point was because we overlooked another building the curtains had to be drawn making room dark check in and our was very efficient

I did not expect to get a room at a Ibis Hotel in London for 75 GBP and for that price I did not expect too much. Instead I found a friendly and professional welcome, with bilingual staff (English/French), and maybe even multilingual! The reception area was open planned and tastefully decorated, and the room very cosy, with a well-designed bathroom, and lovely natural flooring. The location was quiet which meant a very good night's sleep. Breakfast was next door at the Café Rouge, with a choice of continental or English breakfast. Continental consisted of toast, butter and marmelade, followed by yogurt and delicous home-made strawberry preserve. A nice gesture was a dispenser of water on the hotel reception's counter, with lemon slices and mint floating in the water. My stay at the Ibis Hotel Greenwich remains one of my best memories of my stay in London. I shall certainly stay there again in the future. Well done Ibis!

Tried to check in online after an hour of it keep going to a search engine I gave up checking in took 45 minutes toilet in the room faced a wall, only two towels for two of us, one of our rooms smelt like someone had frayed chips in there, the lift was out of order or that's what they said and we had someone who had trouble with her hip so it took half an hour to climb the stairs to the second floor then in the morning the lift was working but it still had the out of order sign on it, was told on the phone that the car park was pot luck but wasn't told till we got there it was £15.00 per night

Good modern hotel, best location for all of London. 2 mins from the tube, 2 mins from the Thames Clipper ( water taxi, very frequent, cheap, and what a way to get in to town, quick, loads of stops). 2 mins from Cutty Sark and all of the other attractions in Grenwich. This hotel is truly "in the middle of Grenwich", easy parking at a Cheap rate, adjoins the Cafe Rouge. Nothing but praise for a reasonable price hotel. We will stay here again

If you want London but not in central London Greenwich is your place and at under £100 a night Ibis is the place to stay. You know what you are getting basic clean room comfortable bed etc. Very close to Greenwich attractions, the Park, Observatory, Cutty Sark, National Maritime Museum to name but a few, but with train, DLR and the boats to embankment and London so close its a great location.

The room was a bit small, but exceptionally clean. We missed a little fridge from the room. As for the breakfast, you can't choose any food, you are served in a café. If you want a bigger portion pay extra £5 for English breakfast. It was delicious. Kind and helpful people at the reception. They store your luggage in case of early arrival.

There is no check in desk staff don't know what they are doing when you book bed and breakfast you don't get a cooked breakfast buried deep in the terms and conditions is a statement saying continental breakfast included but you cannot upgrade that on line very cheeky. Breakfast is served in the next door café we went in and promptly got told where is your ticket. I didn't have one the so called check in process forgot to give me one so i went and found a member of staff who gave me one for that day but not for the next day of my stay farcical. To be honest you are better off saving your 8 pounds and walking around the corner and getting a breakfast at Weatherspoon's pub. You get very little on your plate. This is nothing like the normal Ibis hotels where you get a small but good cooked buffet breakfast. There is a small bar but no pone drinks there as it is too expensive. Again just around the corner is a Weatherspoon's. Whilst I did have a drink at the bar one night I watched as a group of ten persons were about to order drinks saw the prices and decided to go to the Weatherspoon's. So Ibis hotel lost out on 10 drinks sales as they don't want to be competitive. Problems in the room were sorted on the second day but they should not have been there in the first place what are the service staff doing not reporting faulty shower heads and leaking toilets. I only paid cheap for this hotel so I suppose I got what I deserved never again I will pay better money next time.

Payed for breakfasts then payed 6 pound on the day for breakfasts.bedrom poor bed rock hard .picture on website for bbedroom wasn't what we your suppose to have a shave in the bathroom as the rusty mirror frame was that low I had to go on my knees to have a shave .
